Jian Xi erged feeling as if she had narrowly escaped death. She knew she had to leave this place quickly and stay away from Si Yuhuan to remain safe.
In the underground parking garage, Jian Xi tried to start the car several tis, but each ti it inexplicably died. She got out and walked around the car. When she saw the exhaust pipe, she wondered which despicable person had actually blocked it with a towel. A sense of foreboding unexpectedly rose in her heart, and she turned to run.
A man with his face covered approached her. He struck her with a swift chop to the neck, and before Jian Xi could make any sound, she was knocked unconscious.
When Jian Xi ca to again, she found herself lying on an iron bed. The air was thick with the musty sll of rust and a pungent dicinal odor. Her neck ached. She tried to rise groggily but realized she couldn’t move at all.
"HAHAHA..."
A familiar laugh approached.
Jian Xi’s vision gradually cleared, and she saw Jiang Qing opposite her.
"Miss Jian, isn’t it a surprise to invite you over this way?"
Her expression was manic, her eyes filled with murderous intent. She walked up to Jian Xi excitedly and pinched her chin with a triumphant look. "You didn’t expect to fall into my hands, did you?"
"What do you want?" Jian Xi was terrified.
Today was her prenatal check-up! Damn it, she hadn’t brought the bodyguards her fifth brother had arranged for her, giving this woman an opportunity.
"Don’t be scared. I have a gift for you. Aren’t you eloquent and good at scheming? I bet you didn’t calculate that today would be your last."
Jiang Qing harshly flung Jian Xi’s chin away. Jian Xi staggered and fell to the side, her limbs numb.

She took out a syringe filled with a light green, viscous liquid.
"Don’t be afraid! Just a little prick. Once the liquid is injected, you’ll forget everything."
Jian Xi’s heart pounded; she had underestimated this deranged woman!
"Jiang Qing, if you dare touch , neither the Jian Family nor Si Yuhuan will let you get away with it! Let go now, and I promise I’ll give you everything you want. I won’t compete with you for Si Yuhuan."

Her eyes red with emotion, Jiang Qing lunged, plunging the needle downward.
Just as the needle was about to pierce Jian Xi’s wrist, she suddenly kicked out, knocking Jiang Qing away. The syringe fell to the floor. Jian Xi bent to pick it up. Before Jiang Qing could react, Jian Xi grabbed one of her arms, plunged the needle in, and forced the light-green liquid into her vein.
"AAAAAAHHHHH—"
Jiang Qing let out a deafening roar, desperately shaking off Jian Xi and staggering backward.
"Help! Help!" Hearing her screams, her n rushed in from outside.
Her life was at stake. Jiang Qing could no longer bother with Jian Xi; she could only yell at her n, "Take to the hospital! Take to the hospital now!"
And so, Jiang Qing was carried away to the hospital by two bodyguards.
Jian Xi lay on the ground, panting for a few monts, then struggled to her feet and returned to Fuyuan Official Residence. She didn’t dare return to the Jian Family, fearing her parents and elder brother would worry if they saw her.
At the hospital, Jiang Qing was frantic with anxiety. She grabbed a doctor and commanded, "You better examine properly! If anything happens to , I’ll make sure all of you go down with !"

The doctor, having already checked her multiple tis and seeing her acting hysterically, directly ordered security to remove her.
"You have a psychological issue. In my opinion, it’s your brain that’s the problem, not sothing requiring that kind of dication. I suggest you see a neurologist. Next!"
Jiang Qing was thrown out, her legs still feeling weak. After waiting for so long, her body had shown no reaction. Even if she was a fool, she knew by now: the drug was a fake!
She must have been blind to spend over a million on it! It was infuriating!
"I will not let this go," she seethed.
Jiang Qing didn’t leave the hospital. She bribed a doctor to get a random hospital bed and lay down, then called Si Junyan.
"Junyan, Jian Xi had soone inject with a special drug! You know she has very capable doctors around her. I feel terrible all over, like I’m about to die."
Hearing this, Si Junyan’s anger flared. He was already in such a miserable state; how could he allow the woman he loved to be humiliated and hurt? "Wait for ," he said imdiately. "I’ll be there right away."
After hanging up, he thought for a mont. He couldn’t go alone; he had to bring his elder brother to witness how cruelly Jiang Qing had been bullied.
Si Yuhuan initially had no intention of going. However, when Si Junyan repeatedly emphasized over the phone that Jian Xi had used Jian Sirun’s drug on Jiang Qing, leaving her bedridden and unable to move, his heart inevitably stirred. After all, he had experienced sothing similar himself. He knew all too well how potent Jian Sirun’s drugs were.

She twisted the truth, crying hoarsely.
Si Yuhuan, who happened to push the door open at that mont, heard everything.
