Nie Xiuwei proudly returned to his residence, where Sima Ling, aka Qin Xin, was sitting on the couch in the living room, reading docunts on the computer, dressed in white loungewear.
Seeing the joy on his face, she asked, "Did sothing good happen?"
She had co from North City to Beijing the day before yesterday. Since Leng Mochen hadn’t taken the bait, there was no point in her staying at that foreign company.
"Good news! Soon, I will no longer be Nie Xiuwei; I’ll be renad Leng Mowei!" Nie Xiuwei was elated, and the thought of seeing the expressions on their faces when the results of the test were out excited him greatly.
By then, he wanted to see how Leng Qiankai would try to explain, how that old woman would maintain her arrogance!
He wouldn’t admit it! Could they deny it? His life would be different from then on!
Did Leng Mochen consider himself the sole heir of the Leng Family? What a joke, he would give him a big shock! Including Leng Mohao, who was imprisoned, he would be the Third Young Master Leng in the future!
The Leng Family would be his possession eventually!
"Congratulations!"
Nie Xiuwei approached her, holding her with ill intentions, his downcast eyes revealing a sinister look, "Darling! Why aren’t you in a good mood? Did I not satisfy you?"
Qin Xin avoided his hands, her eyes showing a trace of worry, "No, I’m just worried that since the person in North City isn’t dead, there might be a screw-up!"
She had just received the news. No one expected the PR departnt of Leng Mochen to be so formidable.
The issue that had already been in an uproar was raised up high and then put down gently.
Moreover, with the police involved, the situation was very unfavorable to them!
Nie Xiuwei’s expression darkened further, "No way! Don’t worry!"
However, Qin Xin thought otherwise because she just received a new piece of information: "That injured person was found to have a large sum of money suddenly appear in their account, and there’s evidence at the scene proving they committed arson!"
"Idiots!" Enraged, he let go of her and kicked the glass coffee table in front of him hard, shattering it with a crash.
This bunch was good for nothing but spoiling things!
He should have taken matters into his own hands instead of relying on others.
Qin Xin was startled, but she was apparently accustod to his violence, soothingly patting his clenched fists, "Vid! Calm down! What I’m worried about is another issue. What are you going to do if that person confesses sothing?"
She herself wasn’t too concerned, but Nie Xiuwei might be implicated.
Nie Xiuwei rubbed his slightly stubbly chin, pondering, "That person was found by that woman, and she handled the deal with the other party. So, even if sothing happened, it wouldn’t concern us!"
Besides, he didn’t think the other party had any evidence, and that scapegoat had to take the fall!
Qin Xin lowered her gaze, only hoping things would develop as he said. Otherwise...
Mr. and Mrs. Leng arrived ho and, as soon as they entered, saw Wang ishu, who hadn’t been seen for days, leisurely sitting on the couch drinking tea.
Seeing the three of them return looking none too happy,
she hurriedly stood up and asked with concern, "Sis! Brother-in-law! Xiao Ning! Did anything happen? I ca back from out of town just now, and as soon as I got ho, the servants told you all left in a hurry.
Isn’t today supposed to be the eting with Xiao Ning’s boyfriend’s family?"
Upon entering, she noticed several expensive gifts placed in the living room.
Besides the servants, no one was ho, and after inquiring, she learned it was Xiao Ning’s boyfriend’s visit, and Leng Qiankai hadn’t returned afterward.
"It’s nothing!" Leng Qiankai, looking displeased, glanced at the guilty-looking servant bowing their head, then turned to Mrs. Leng and said, "I’ll head back to my room first!"
"Alright!" Mrs. Leng responded.
She hadn’t expected her sister-in-law to return today.
She had a lot on her mind but couldn’t say it now; she’d have to wait to talk privately with Leng Qiankai in their room later.
"Sis, don’t treat as an outsider; if sothing’s bothering you, just tell ! After all, we’re all won. Sotis, you have to look at things differently!"
Wang ishu, noticing Mrs. Leng’s red and swollen eyes, thought it must be sothing like that. Why else would they have left in such a hurry if not to catch a mistress?
She never expected Leng Qiankai was that kind of person! She had always envied her sister-in-law’s good fortune, but now it seed not necessarily so, her eyes betraying a hint of schadenfreude.
Mrs. Leng knew what was happening and was annoyed. Even if sothing did happen, she wouldn’t tell this sister-in-law.
"What are you saying? Do you hope sothing happens to us so you can enjoy the show?"
Her tone was not pleasant. Under ordinary circumstances, she wouldn’t have spoken like this, but she had been bottling up her anger all day and was now ready to explode at the slightest provocation!
"Sis! You misunderstand ! How could I think that way?" Wang ishu felt embarrassed, not expecting her little sche to be seen through, feeling dissatisfied, wondering why they were taking it out on her!
"Is that so?" Mrs. Leng replied coldly. Don’t think she couldn’t see through it; she just didn’t want to bother with her before.
"Mom, look, Aunt certainly didn’t an it that way. Let’s sit down and chat!" Leng Ning pulled Mrs. Leng to the couch and softly explained to Wang ishu, "Aunt! Don’t stir up trouble. There’s really nothing going on! By the way, are you done with your tasks outside since you’re back?"
Aunt Wang ishu had said she was going to inspect a building materials factory out of town. Her uncle and little brother had gone back abroad to handle so business, planning to transfer her little brother to study dostically!
Talking about it lifted Wang ishu’s spirits, wiping away her earlier dissatisfaction, "It’s done! I’ve even signed the contract with them! We’ll be the exclusive agent for that excellent brand here in Beijing!"
Mrs. Leng wasn’t in the mood to listen, "Then go ahead and chat, I’m tired and will head back to my room to rest!"
"Alright! Sis! Rest early!" Wang ishu eagerly stood up, watching Mrs. Leng go upstairs, then sat back with a face full of curiosity, grabbing Leng Ning’s hand.
"Xiao Ning, are you really not telling Aunt the truth? What’s up with your parents?"
Leng Ning was extrely irritated by her pretense of concern. It was as if she really cared, but who knew how gleeful she truly felt.
"What’s the matter with them! They just have different opinions because of ! Aunt, I’m tired too! Let’s talk tomorrow after I get so sleep!" Then she yawned and quickly went upstairs.
"Hey! Xiao Ning you..." Wang ishu snorted softly, seeing the empty living room, she also sulkily went back to her room.
Once in her room, she thought for a while and decided to call Ouyang Zhenglin, initially wanting him to find out what was going on. Instead, she got an earful and he ntioned he would soon return to the country.
Before hanging up, he gave a stern warning, "Let tell you! Don’t ddle in my sister’s family’s affairs!"
Wang ishu felt wronged, "I’m not! I just saw my sister so upset, I kindly consoled her a bit! Wasn’t it for you, as her brother, to be concerned at a ti like this?"
On the other end, Ouyang Zhenglin’s tone slightly softened but remained chilly, "Okay! I got it! Once I return, move to the newly renovated villa quickly!"
"Alright! I’ll do as you say, alright!" Hanging up the phone left Wang ishu fuming.
Who wanted to ddle in her family’s matters? Wasn’t it that she happened to catch it by coincidence? (To be continued. If you like this work, please co to qidian and cast a recomndation or monthly ticket. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m.qidian.)
