Su ng fell into deep thought.
At this mont, the car arrived under Bai Shasha’s building. But as the car moved closer, the headlights illuminated Bai Shasha struggling with soone.
Li Si instantly recognized the person—it was actually Cao Yufan.
Everyone quickly got out of the car. Xu Er was the fastest, dashing to Bai Shasha in two or three steps, pulling her behind him, and delivering a punch directly to Cao Yufan’s eye. The latter collapsed onto the ground imdiately.
Bai Shasha, standing behind Xu Er, was fuming with anger. Seeing that Li Si and the others had arrived, she let out a sigh of relief.
Li Si hurried over and whispered to her, "What’s going on?"
Why is Cao Yufan here?
Bai Shasha pursed her lips. "How would I know! The mont I stepped outside, Cao Yufan rushed over, demanding I forgive him. He said he wouldn’t leave if I didn’t agree and insisted we get back together. Who does he think he is? How delusional!"
"What a joke! He’s stooping to shalessness now!" Li Si curled her lip in disgust. Did he really think that just by softening his tone and apologizing, Shasha would take him back?
Who does he take others for?
Xu Er’s eyes flashed with cold nace. So it’s the ex-boyfriend! He looked Cao Yufan up and down and discreetly cast a look of disdain. Hmph, not much to write ho about.
Long Wu pulled Su ng aside and said, "ng ng, if there’s a place where I haven’t done well, can you let know?"
"I... Wensong, can we talk about this another ti?" Now wasn’t exactly the right mont to discuss this, was it?
Long Wu nodded and stood with Su ng, both of them watching the ongoing scene. They both thought this was a great chance for Xu Er to prove himself.
Leng Mochen stayed close to Li Si, watching attentively to ensure she didn’t get hurt.
Cao Yufan caught his breath, clutching his eye as he got up and yelled, "Who the hell are you? Why did you hit ?"
Seeing the group of n and won crowding protectively around Shasha made him feel apprehensive.
Especially when he noticed Li Si among them, his face grew more uneasy.
Thinking about the awful things he had done, he felt ashad.
Yet, when he finally tracked down Bai Shasha’s new residence, all he could think about was begging for her forgiveness and trying to reconcile with her.
After so ti reflecting, he had co to realize that his fascination with ng Xi was nothing more than fleeting curiosity—it had never been genuine.
But he truly loved Bai Shasha. Even if she no longer wanted that love, he still wanted to fight for it and win her back.
Xu Er sized him up from head to toe and coldly said, "I’m Shasha’s boyfriend!"
The disdain and ridicule in his eyes were unmistakable.
Cao Yufan clenched his fists and asked through gritted teeth, "Bai Shasha, tell this isn’t true, right? We just broke up a few days ago, and now you already have a boyfriend?"
He didn’t say what ca next, but everyone present wasn’t stupid—they could guess he was implying there might’ve been sothing going on before.
Bai Shasha wasn’t about to indulge his nonsense: "Yes, this is my boyfriend. You got a problem with that? Too bad for you, though! You’re the past, gone and done."
"Let give you so advice, considering our families know each other—don’t create any more nonsense. Otherwise, my boyfriend could cripple you. Believe it or not!"
"And let’s not forget, you’re the one who cheated first. So what are you doing here, trying to make yourself feel relevant? Learn so dignity, why don’t you?"
If she still harbored the slightest bit of lingering affection or sentint toward Cao Yufan, it all vanished with his actions just now.
Xu Er imdiately felt invigorated, especially with Bai Shasha holding onto his arm. That sense of satisfaction flooded through him—it was indescribable!
Unable to resist, he waved his fist nacingly at Cao Yufan, as if to say, "Fight if you dare."
Cao Yufan looked at Bai Shasha with despair, his eyes turning red. He knew he had made mistakes, and he had co genuinely to apologize today. But what greeted him was this kind of humiliation.
Did all the years of affection between them an nothing? Couldn’t she forgive him for that one mistake?
Maybe ng Xi was right; Bai Shasha didn’t love him as much as he had imagined.
Then, taking another glance at the man who claid to be Bai Shasha’s boyfriend—handso, undeniably confident, dressed head to toe in wealth and luxury, not to ntion that car in the back, clearly a luxury vehicle—
He couldn’t help blurting out, "Are you rich?"
The mont he asked, Cao Yufan regretted it.
It wasn’t just the way everyone was now looking at him, but Bai Shasha in particular—her eyes widened instantly before landing a heavy slap across his face. After the slap, her fiery gaze burned into him as she said, "Cao Yufan, this is it! From now on, we’re done—we owe each other nothing. And rember: we’ll never cross paths again in this lifeti. Got it?"
Xu Er wanted to rush up and puml Cao Yufan severely, but Bai Shasha held him back with all her strength. "Soone like him isn’t worth dirtying your hands for!"
Those words, lightly spoken, miraculously cald Xu Er’s simring anger while shattering the last strand of hope in Cao Yufan’s heart. If he had still clung to the slimst fantasy before, now it was utterly gone.
He finally realized that he had lost Bai Shasha for good!
Without sparing Cao Yufan—standing there motionless with his head hung low—a single glance, the group got back into their cars and drove off.
It wasn’t until the cars disappeared in the distance that Cao Yufan dared to lift his head. His eyes brimd with tears, but it was too late—he had ruined everything.
Once, Bai Shasha had loved him so deeply, trusted him so completely. But from this mont on, her presence would never again grace his life.
He had personally pushed her into soone else’s arms. He couldn’t bla anyone except his own greed, his own pettiness, and his own despicable nature...
From the shadows behind him erged a woman. If Li Si and Bai Shasha had been there, they would’ve imdiately recognized her—it was ng Xi. (To be continued.
