She let out a cold laugh. A business trip? Was it really a business trip, or was it an excuse to hook up with so other tramp?
She had never doubted him before. But now? Now, she couldn’t trust a single thing.
This kind of betrayal would be unbearable for any woman, let alone soone like Yin Qi, who loved and trusted him so deeply. For a mont, she felt utterly lost, heartbroken, standing up in a daze. She unconsciously bit her fingernails and paced nervously around the room.

She clutched her head in pain and scread, as if by expelling the heavy air trapped in her chest, she could alleviate even a fraction of the agony. Otherwise, she felt like she was going to explode!
Just then, the sharp sound of the doorbell echoed from downstairs, followed by the voice of the maid opening the door.
Yin Qi didn’t care who had co. With everything that had happened, how could she have the energy to deal with anyone?
But soon, the maid’s voice drifted up from below: "Madam, there are two people here from the police station to see you!"
Yin Qi’s face turned pale with shock. The police station? Why were they looking for her?
Fear surged through her inexplicably, but after that initial panic, she tried to reassure herself. She hadn’t done anything wrong—what was there to be afraid of? Could it be sothing to do with Han Mingzhe? All of a sudden, her nerves wound tight again. Had he gotten himself into trouble?
The maid’s voice ca again: "Madam, did you hear ?"
Helpless, Yin Qi called down toward the stairs: "I heard! You—you tell them to wait a mont! I’ll co down after I change my clothes!"
"Understood!" the maid replied politely.
Yin Qi glanced around the study, now a wreck from her rampage. She couldn’t stay there. Turning, she headed to the bedroom, splashed her face with water in the bathroom, and looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were swollen and red, her hair a ss.
Taking a deep breath, she fixed her hair but skipped putting on makeup. Without further hesitation, she went downstairs.
Seated on the living room sofa were a man and a woman. The man made an imdiate impression—dark-skinned, muscular, with sharp, stern features and piercing eyes. The mont Yin Qi ca down, his unrelenting gaze made her scalp tingle. This was, unmistakably, Heizi.
The woman, by comparison, was much less intimidating. Ordinary-looking, but with bright, kind eyes that gave off an air of warmth.
"And you are?" Yin Qi asked curiously as she sized them up. Seeing them stand, she quickly motioned, "Oh, no need! Please, sit!" Then, turning toward the kitchen, she called out for the maid to bring them tea.
