Li Si replied indifferently, still recalling how Leng Ning had treated her that day. Moreover, this woman might have so connection to Leng Mochen. Now that Leng Mochen was almost outside, she didn’t want them to cross paths.
"Miss Li, has Xiao Ning told you about the situation between us?" The woman smiled, her gaze carrying deep implications.
Li Si calmly countered, "Is that important?" She wasn’t concerned about who this woman was. What mattered was that Leng Mochen was hers now, and no one could harbor any improper thoughts. Trying to sow discord or make her upset? Not a chance!
The woman awkwardly smiled, "Not really! Just thought it was a nice coincidence eting here and wanted to chat a little!"
At this mont, Li Si’s phone rang.
She picked up the call with a sweet tone, "Honey! You’re here? Alright, I know, mm-hmm! OK!" Then she waved goodbye to the woman, briskly heading out of the store.
The woman’s face stiffened as she overheard Li Si’s conversation on the phone, as though she had swallowed sothing unpleasant. Her mood turned sour instantly, and she hurried the cashier, "Please hurry up! I’m in a rush and have other things to do!"
"Alright!" The cashier gave her a puzzled look—this woman’s mood swings were way too dramatic.
Li Si quickly exited the store and got into Leng Mochen’s car. "Drive!"
Leng Mochen noticed her peculiar expression and, after steering the car onto the road, reached over to gently rub the top of her head. "What’s wrong? Sothing happen at the store?"
