Xu Xiuwen laughed, “Happy? I’m more than happy. Did you see those guys’ faces? They were priceless. They don’t know you’re already mine.”
Cheng Lu retorted, “Don’t say nonsense, who’s yours?”
Xu Xiuwen leaned in, “Of course, you are, my iceberg beauty.”
Hearing her nickna, Cheng Lu didn’t argue further but gave him a look, “You were so childish just now.”
Xu Xiuwen nodded, “I was just ssing with them. They shouldn’t have been staring at my girlfriend.”
Cheng Lu linked her arm through Xu Xiuwen’s, smiling, “They didn’t do anything. Is even looking forbidden?”
Xu Xiuwen replied possessively, “That’s right, even looking is not allowed. You’re mine, only for to see.”
Cheng Lu was pleased by this, resting her head on his shoulder without saying anything more.
After leaving the library, they headed straight to the nearby Arts Institute.
On the way, Cheng Lu asked, “You weren’t lying last night, right? You really made that much money writing?”
“I wouldn’t lie to you. It’s true. If you don’t believe , we can go to an internet cafe, and I’ll show you my author dashboard.”

“Don’t be so impulsive in the future. Investing so much money, what if you don’t have enough and the TV show can’t be finished? Your money would go down the drain. Think things through and discuss with first, okay?”
Xu Xiuwen replied seriously, “I’m not impulsive. I consider things carefully before acting, so you don’t need to worry. But you’re right, I’ll discuss major expenditures with you in the future.”
Cheng Lu was satisfied, continuing to lean on his arm.
The afternoon streets were quiet, with few pedestrians and only the occasional passing car breaking the silence.
