Xu Xiuwen kept chatting with Cheng Lu until almost 11 o’clock before saying goodnight.

He originally planned to go straight to bed but then saw a text ssage from Xiao Youran.

Actually, he had noticed it earlier but was so imrsed in the pleasant conversation with Cheng Lu that he hadn’t replied.

Xiao Youran’s ssage read: “Xiao Xu, the holiday is coming soon. I see our classmates are buying tickets. How are we getting ho? Do we need to buy tickets in advance?”

Xu Xiuwen definitely wouldn’t be going ho with Xiao Youran for the holiday.

The reason was simple.

Tang Weiwei’s train was leaving from Jinling Station on the 21st.

Xu Xiuwen had already agreed with Cheng Lu that he would take her to the station.

Since he was taking Cheng Lu, he couldn’t leave out Tang Weiwei.

Xu Xiuwen believed in treating everyone fairly.

Moreover, he couldn’t let Tang Weiwei go with Yang Baishan to catch the train by herself; he definitely had to take her.

Adding it all up, he wouldn’t be able to go ho until at least the 22nd.

Xu Xiuwen could ask Xiao Youran to wait for him until the 22nd, but with what identity or reason could he ask her to wait for two days?

So, Xu Xiuwen had already decided to let Xiao Youran go ho by herself, at most, taking her to the station.

Having made his decision, and since Xiao Youran had asked, he lowered his head and started typing.

“I have sothing to do, so I’ll be going ho a few days late. You go ho on the 20th as soon as the holiday starts.”

Xiao Youran was very disappointed when she saw the ssage.

She silently typed, “Xiao Xu, what do you have to do? How about I wait for you?”

“No need, you haven’t seen your parents in a while. Go ho early. Let know when you’re leaving, and I’ll take you to the station.”

Seeing Xu Xiuwen’s resolute refusal, Xiao Youran instinctively bit her lip in disappointnt.

But in the end, she could only accept it: “Okay.”

“Mm, it’s late, you should get so sleep. Goodnight.”

After sending the ssage, Xu Xiuwen sent another goodnight ssage to Tang Weiwei and then went to sleep.

The next morning, Xu Xiuwen went to the library as usual to study and review with the four girls from dorm 601.

The five of them had lunch together in the cafeteria.

Xu Xiuwen told Tang Weiwei about eting people from the provincial TV station with Hang Fei in the afternoon.

Tang Weiwei was different from Cheng Lu.

In her heart, Xu Xiuwen was the most outstanding guy, so she had 100% confidence in him, believing he could do anything well.

Seeing that Tang Weiwei didn’t ntion wanting to go with him, Xu Xiuwen breathed a sigh of relief.

Although if Tang Weiwei had ntioned it, he could find a reason to convince her not to go.

It was just less troubleso that she didn’t bring it up.

While eating, Bai Yue’er couldn’t help but ask, “Xu Xiuwen, your scarf looks familiar. Where have I seen it before?”

Tang Weiwei’s face turned red at the ntion of the scarf.

Shen Minyao and Su Yanyan looked amused.

They both recognized it as the scarf Tang Weiwei had been knitting recently.

Xu Xiuwen smiled and said, “You guessed right, Weiwei knitted this scarf for . It’s warm and nice. Are you jealous? Even if you are, it’s not for you.”

Bai Yue’er was left speechless by his comnt.

Xu Xiuwen and Bai Yue’er often bantered, but Bai Yue’er usually ended up on the losing side.

Tang Weiwei had been used to seeing this since their ti on the set and found it amusing rather than surprising.

Shen Minyao frowned upon hearing Xu Xiuwen and Bai Yue’er’s tone, but having witnessed it a few tis recently and seeing no private interactions between them, she kept quiet.

Bai Yue’er, though unable to outtalk Xu Xiuwen, glanced at Tang Weiwei.

The latter was smiling.

Bai Yue’er rolled her eyes and suddenly said to Tang Weiwei, “Weiwei, you’re so biased. Xu Xiuwen is your good friend, so you knitted him a scarf. I’m your roommate, and I didn’t get one.”

Tang Weiwei blushed, not knowing how to respond.

Xu Xiuwen wouldn’t let Bai Yue’er “bully” Tang Weiwei.

He imdiately said, “You can’t knit a scarf yourself and want Weiwei to do it for you? If you want a scarf, go buy one. Weiwei stayed up late knitting mine, and I felt bad enough. Don’t expect her to knit you one too.”

Bai Yue’er retorted, “Who says I can’t knit? How do you know I can’t?”

Xu Xiuwen glanced at her, “Oh, so you can?”

Of course, Bai Yue’er couldn’t.

But she didn’t like admitting defeat to Xu Xiuwen, so she stubbornly said, “I can, why not?”

Xu Xiuwen chuckled, “I don’t believe you.”

Bai Yue’er looked at Xu Xiuwen, who had a smug smile on his face.

She really wanted to pinch Xu Xiuwen’s face and vent her frustration.

But she only dared to think about it, not actually do it.

She knew she wasn’t Tang Weiwei; Xu Xiuwen never indulged her.

After lunch with Tang Weiwei, Xu Xiuwen prepared to go to Jiaotong University to find Cheng Lu.

On the way, he specifically took off the scarf and changed to the neck warr Cheng Lu had knitted.

Cheng Lu was currently studying on the sixth floor of Jiaotong University Library.

When Xu Xiuwen found her, he noticed that every guy around was sneaking glances at Cheng Lu.

Xu Xiuwen couldn’t help but smile.

In the past life, he had also done the sa in the library when he saw a pretty girl; it was quite normal.

But they could only look and do nothing more.

However, at that mont, a guy at a neighboring table suddenly stood up and walked towards Cheng Lu.

Xu Xiuwen was about to walk over but stopped involuntarily at this sight.

He looked at the guy, who was quite decent-looking—not as handso as himself, but still good among guys.

Xu Xiuwen was curious about how this guy would approach Cheng Lu.

Under Xu Xiuwen’s watchful eye, the guy walked to Cheng Lu’s side.

He stood there for a while, but Cheng Lu didn’t even lift her head, her eyes fixed on her notebook.

The guy couldn’t wait any longer and said, “Hi, classmate, I’m—”

Before he could finish, Cheng Lu glanced up at him with a cold look that instantly froze him.

He stamred for a while but couldn’t continue.

Feeling uneasy under Cheng Lu’s gaze, he left without waiting for her to speak.

Xu Xiuwen couldn’t help but laugh.

This guy’s attempt to strike up a conversation ended abruptly!

Xu Xiuwen had wanted to see how Cheng Lu would reject him, but the guy couldn’t even finish his sentence and fled under her cold gaze.

The other guys around had expressions of inevitability.

Since Cheng Lu sat down, five or six guys had tried to talk to her in less than half an hour.

All of them left, unable to withstand her cold deanor.

Running away was already a good outco; the previous guy had cried under her gaze.

They had laughed so hard at that.

Xu Xiuwen noted the expressions of the surrounding guys.

An idea suddenly ca to his mind.
