Within the Quantum Realm

Not long ago

Crystal was just going about her business trying to perfect her energy manipulation in order to reach Ascendant Tier when the news reached her. Telling her that her daughter was in trouble.

Major trouble.

She even found it difficult to believe at first. When she heard that Lexi was being chased by dozens of users while unable to protect herself.

After all, Lexi is the Quantum Reaper.

Until she was made aware that Lexi was being attacked by dozens of Ascendant Tier users and not Tier 5 users.

Her first response was to cuss out the Quantum Architect who brought her the news. To ask him why he wasn’t doing anything to help her. Despite knowing that the Quantum Architect has little to no combat prowess without using his True Form.

And if he tried using his True Form, he wouldn’t be much help. He would only be able to take care of a couple of them before being punished by the System and taken away for hundreds if not thousands of years.

So she quickly moves onto her second response.

Pushing her training as quickly as possible. Which only becos possible because the Quantum Architect and even the Quantum Ruler rush to help guide her through her energy manipulation as much as they can.

All the way until she finally reaches the required Tier in it to Ascend.

And when she does that, she doesn’t hesitate. The mont she Ascends to Ascendant Tier, she rushes straight over to help save her daughter. Deactivating her True Form the mont she arrives.

Only to feel pure rage flood her at the sight that greets her.

The sight of Lexi being trapped in a seal and nearly running out of energy to avoid the enemies’ attacks.

So without any hesitation, she attacks. Not even giving the enemies ti to say a thing in the process.

Alexia

I feel a faint smile spreading across my face in relief.

Then I imdiately teleport into the Quantum Realm, feeling my energy tank skyrocketing in seconds.

That was close…

After arriving in the Quantum Realm again, I look back into the mortal universe where Mom and the attackers currently are. Quickly finding them to be locked in combat with her.

What’s kind of satisfying to see though is the sight of three of the Ascendant Tiers already dead. No doubt because they weren’t expecting her sudden intervention.

So the Ascendant Tiers are now scrambling. But after a brief hesitation, they join forces to attack her.

Then, to my surprise, over a dozen new Ascendant Tiers begin rushing to join the battle. As if they saw these Ascendant Tiers very nearly kill and realized that it was possible to actually win this battle against .

I grit my teeth at the sight. Both of the reinforcents and how they actually begin to push Mom back.

She’s not in her True Form, so she can’t draw energy from the Quantum Realm. aning she has a very limited tank of energy to work with.

And since she’s facing nearly three dozen – about two and a half dozen – Ascendant Tiers on her own as a newly ascended one, she quickly begins to run out of energy.

But before she can completely run out, letting them go back to chasing , another burst of energy rushes through the universe. Following which I find another unexpected aide arriving.

Lucas.

I feel both surprised and unexpectedly warm inside at the sight of my Dad showing up and blocking attacks that were about to hit Mom. Following which he slaughters the two Ascendant Tiers who tried to take advantage of Mom’s brief weakness to hit her.

And unlike my Mom, who isn’t very fit to battle against these enemies beyond her power as a devourer, my Dad is very fit to fight them.

Because he is their exact counter.

They built their forces around fighting , after all.

Soone who is immune to physical damage untouched by magic.

So now they’re fighting soone who is my polar opposite. Soone who is immune to magic.

Although a lot of those reinforcents seem to be physical damage specialists. Probably people who were staying back because they wouldn’t be of use against .

Which complicates things.

Except…

My eyes narrow before I deactivate my True Form and rush in to attack the new arrivals.

I may not be able to help much against the magic users, but when I’m fighting a bunch of muscle-heads who can’t use magic… I can help.

The mont one of the physical attackers’ hits is about to land on Dad’s back, I slam my quantum lightning-infused fist straight into the side of their head. Sending them flying to slam into a couple other Ascendant Tiers.

And while this doesn’t actually do much damage overall, it stops their attack. Giving Dad an opening to attack them.

A grin spreads across my face when one of the physical attackers manages to sneak around before trying to put into a choke hold. No doubt to keep in place for others to attack.

Only for his arms to pass right through my neck as he stumbles backwards with his eyes wide in shock.

I kick backwards with a quantum lightning-infused kick, sending him flying back with the strike of thunder echoing through the area.

Then I begin teleporting around while grinning at my parents, who are both surprised and seemingly overjoyed at the idea of fighting alongside .

And while I can’t actually do much of any damage to them thanks to being an entire Tier behind – nothing more than light scrapes that mostly heal very quickly even with my strongest attacks – I do manage to push them back and create openings. With Dad helping whenever one of the magic users rushes into attack . Blocking their attacks and counterattacking them in the process.

So just like this, the three of us work together to fend off their attacks for days as I continue teleporting over and over again.

Still pushing Quantum Displacent towards Ascendant Tier as quickly as I can.

Until, at last, it finally happens.
