SLASH!!

Blood sprayed forward, a curve edge that sank deep into the head like blob of the giant monster before her. It’s giant hand twitch, outwards as burst of Mundus Energy flow throw wound, blowing up like a balloon, and making the damn creature explode into chunks bathing the battlefield with blood. "Gahhh... So fucking gross." Beatrice said with a disgusted face behind her natural body armor.

Strength, speed, and reflexes alone was enough to deal with these weird monsters if you play your card right in how attack it, one Mundus Burst alone should do the trick, which was the na given to her newly self develop technique that makes Mundus Energy burst outwards into the body, from her blade to the wounds of her enemies.

"I just don’t get it." She said both confused, pissed even... "Why don’t these damn things give you experience to level up after killing them, it doesn’t even allow to absorb the Blight Residue they have even after death to take their traits, D, a little explaining here would be nice you know!?" Beatrice asked, utterly confused, she has killed more than a thirty of these so call reclairs already, after passing many mournful flas.

"Oh another one hahaha, this place seems to be full of them, what shitty luck you have woman." Dante blantly said, as she look to her side. "Fuckkkk!!"

Beatrice curse outwardly, frustration and anger building up.

She exhaled sharply and turned her gaze toward the end of the corridor. Another Reclair dropped completely from the ceiling above. Its body was stretched thin, bones protruding through its semi-tallic skin, the jaw trembling with a chanical hiss. Alas though, she ran towards it with great speed.

Clank!....

And swung before it could finish standing. The creature’s head was torn clean off. It spasd once, then dissolved into black smoke the fade into nothingness. And as usual she gained no experience from killing it.

Beatrice stared at the empty air where her interface usually flashed to life. "This is getting annoying, like real annoying, all that hard work and reward for the return, what a shitty system." She muttered under her breath.

She then looked at her hand, still trembling, still aching. She had been fighting for nearly three hours now, it goes without saying her stamina or health, muchless her Mundus Pool wasn’t a infinite resource. And yet, with how frequent she has been running into these things, they seem almost endless. Crawling through vents, dropping from ceilings, bursting from piles of debris, and flesh like maggots. Crawling out from the sewers, building, they where everywhere.

And yet, not matter how much she killed, she received nothing.

No increase in experience.

No level-up indicator.

And only fatigue gnawing at her shoulders, creeping like a parasite down her spine. "I can’t keep this up forever, I need to find more Munduses to kill to level up, and reset my HP, MP, and stamina." Beatrice said, as she began to walk out from the building, deciding being in the open would be better than a confine space.

But then another sound, caught her attention. And when she looked behind her. Three of them this ti, skittering along the walls like oversized insects. She turned, dragging her weapon through the blood-streaked floor, eyes narrowing.

One lunged at her before she can even say anything else. She dodged right, parrying the second. The third leaped, jaws wide open. She drove her knee into its skull, twisting Mother Fang upward in a single clean thrust.

The creature gurgled and died, twitching violently.

Her breath ca faster now, shallow, and angry, she was starting to get tired, and then she shouted "D what the hell dude, ahhh, look I am no expert, but sothing isn’t right here, why are there more Reclairs, than they are Munduses in this area, sothing isn’t right here." She muttered aloud as she gritted teeth. "Damnit, I need to rest a bit, my Mundus pool is basically 85% finished."

Then Dante finally spoke, as he said. "Because, Beako." Dante said, his tone almost amused. "Who knows, if I explained that would be a spoiler, still I will tell you this much, Reclairs are naturally seen as Pest of the World."

She blinked, wiping black blood her cheek. "Pests? Yeah their Pest alright, but why so!?"

"Pests of Sunderland is a better way to say it." He continued. "They infest a variety of places, scavenging both Munduses and living residents alike. They’re drawn to life, corruption and the Mournful fla especially. But the reason they don’t give you level is because, the material they are mad out of, I won’t spoil it further than this, but their flesh isn’t sothing you benefit from."

Said Dante, and Beatrice began to get frustrated saying. "That doesn’t explain a jack shit, I need more than that dude." Beatrice shouted aloud, pleading even, but as he spoke, another one ca... on the wall outside, and coming into large hole, crawling across the inner wall’s like a feral dog. Beatrice didn’t wait for it to move closer; she sliced through it without hesitation.

The mont its corpse hit the ground, Dante’s voice resud, unbothered.

"Hehehe you will find out eventually, as matter of fact, here it cos." He said, excited for the story second phase, then Beatrice eyes open wildly in shocked as she said. "What, here what cos, dude what do you ...

But her last words didn’t ca, in that mont, the air whistle, as sothing crashed through the walls above, she didn’t know why did this, but it was too later, from the roof above, a large bone spear broke the walls and hit her at hypersonic speeds.

Her body was torn in half as the spear was bigger than her own torso, pain hit her, and given how fast and big this thing was, it acted like an explosion hitting from the sky above as the shocked wave blow apart the building she was in, and building next to this one, as she was buried under the rubble.

Darkness hit her and the last ssage she saw after that was...
