However, when they noticed that there were 10 skeleton beasts coming from the inside apartnt not long after the trio, they were shocked but quickly cald down after thinking that this place should be the safest place with Kai’s presence.
While Kai sent the 10 skeleton beasts, he ordered one of them to track down the two clowns who knew his real identity while the others stayed looking for strong beasts in the surroundings and sotis helped other people.
This was the reason why Kai made their form in the skeleton form since Kai didn’t want the others to think that these beasts were normal monsters who would attack them after coming out of the dungeons.
After a minute or two, Kai sensed the skeleton beast that he had sent to track down the two clowns was t with trouble as he detected that it was dead before he could even look at the situation there.
Kai raised an eyebrow in surprise before calling back the 9 skeleton beasts and letting them wander around the apartnt instead. He also called Elias and the others, since he wanted to check the situation there with his own eyes.
"Nana, you can stay here with Dad and Mom first, okay?" Kai handed Nana to Liora as he petted her head softly, "I will go out for a bit."
"Is everything okay?" Liora asked with a worried expression, holding Kai’s hand tightly.
"It’s fine, I only want to look around, that’s all." Kai replied with a calm smile.
"Take care of yourself, son." Darius patted Kai’s shoulder while nodding his head with a bitter smile, feeling helpless because he couldn’t do anything to assist his son.
"Don’t worry, Dad. It’s really nothing serious." Kai chuckled and left the penthouse.
After Kai closed the huge door, he instantly took out three 1st Echelon Rank Undead Beasts and let them guard the door before walking toward the lift.
The mont Kai reached the ground floor, he instantly took out the remaining dozens of 1st Echelon Rank Undead Beasts and let them stay inside while ordering a few of them to stay in the ergency stair evacuation.
"Little Goblin, go upstairs and stay in front of the door, okay?" Kai patted the little goblin, ordering it to stay close to his family, as he only wanted to go outside with Elias and the fire lion.
Subsequently, Kai went outside with Elias and the fire lion in a calm manner as if nothing had happened since he didn’t want to make the others panic.
’Is this the reason why everyone in the apartnt died or just another one related to these two clowns?’ Kai thought to himself, as his wolf was fine, but its situation was being held by the two clowns since he sensed that the wolf was inside a small, dark room.
Kai guessed that these two n might have been planning sothing after the universe announcent a while ago. That’s why Kai was anxious to kill them now, as he had never expected that he would cause another huge disturbance right after he caused the world announcent.
As for the people that ca with them, Kai had already thought of a plan to shut their mouths completely. So, Kai didn’t think too much about it.
While on the way to the place where the undead beast got killed, Kai didn’t sense any strong monster or awakener until he was 1 kiloter away from it.
He sensed a thick life energy that should belong to a 2nd Echelon Rank Awakener and two other people who had reached 1st Echelon Ranks. But he was sure that these two people weren’t the sa people that he had t right after he killed the goblin commander.
A stagnant breeze rolled through the half-ruined business district, carrying dust and the coppery scent of old blood. Kai strode down a sun-baked avenue, Elias pacing at his side and the Fire Lion padding behind like a living furnace.
Up ahead, three figures stepped from behind an overturned bus: one broad-shouldered man in matte-black armor radiating 2nd-Echelon life force, flanked by two slimr fighters in matching half-plate.
The leader planted his greaves with a clang that echoed off shattered windows. Crystalline embers shimred along the edge of his twin great-axes—an obvious mana conductor set. A red wolf emblem glowed on his breastplate.
"Blood-Spur Guild," Kai muttered, recognizing that sigil from his previous life.
Mid-tier rcenaries, brutal reputation.
The armored man tilted his head. "Immortality Lord, huh? Hand yourself over. Our contractors pay very well for such classes."
Kai’s eyes narrowed. "Let guess—two clowns told you where to find ."
One of the 1st-Echelon attendants grinned. "Once we capture them, Guildmaster Argall gives us bonus points for initiative."
That was all Kai needed to hear.
Without preamble, he snapped a command through his link. "Elias—clean up the trash."
’These people are really idiots to not run after eting us like this.’ Kai shook his head with a mocking smile.
Elias vanished in a golden blur, leaving only drifting motes. The two 1st-Echelon rcenaries yelped, scrambling for stance, but Elias was already between them. His Solar Blade ignited in a radiant line.
Swissh!
Slashing the first before the man could lift his shield.
A heartbeat later, Elias twisted, delivering a knee to the other’s ribs. Bones snapped; the man doubled over. One backhand slash, and a crimson arc painted cracked pavent. Two heads thudded almost in unison.
Kai didn’t watch. His attention stayed glued to the 2nd Echelon Rank.
"Looks like it’s one-on-one," he said lightly, rolling his shoulders. Fla-washed aura flickered along his Emberstorm Sword.
The armored warrior huffed, steam venting from his collar. "Na’s Darrox, Sub-Captain of Blood-Spur. Bounty on you is huge, kid. Let’s see what makes you special."
’It seems that he’s really confident in his strength after advancing with 2.7x amplification rate twice.’ Kai smiled as he thought that this guy was really an idiot.
’If Elias used his full strength, he would’ve probably fled from here right away.’
