They soon got to work. They started designing the conduits. With Leonel’s help, that was easy. While designing the conduits, they discovered that the nervous system was a better base than the blood circulatory system for the Soul and Mana Conduits.

While doing that, the boys also practised fusing their affinities via Divine Synthesis. At first, it was very difficult for them to create a stable fusion. Although the skill helped them, the result was too volatile for their needs. They continued practising, trying out different ratios of affinities to create sothing stable.

Finally, they succeeded. Next, they had to morise the conduits. That took so ti because they not only needed to rember the pathways but also their circumference and the thickness of the walls of the conduits. It was easier for Zeke due to his mories but Cass had a hard ti.

Still, they persevered and finally succeeded. Leonel tested them by asking them to 3d print a life-sized model of both conduits. Once they had done this, they could move on to the next step. Leonel told Katherine and Alexi that he was taking the boys on a hunting trip so that they could let off so steam.

They agreed because they knew that the boys were frustrated that they were unable to cultivate until now. Leonel then took the boys to a mountain range where he had built one of his many labs. It was very well hidden and was warded with runic formations against any intruders.

They decided that they would first create the Soul and Mana Conduits. They needed to create those in the Spirit Dinsion. Cass looked at them and asked, "What is the Spirit Dinsion? You guys didn’t tell the last ti."

"The dinsion that we’re currently in is Dinsion Zero. It is speculated that it is the first dinsion and all of the other dinsions stemd from it. You can consider these dinsions as mirror realities. Although they have their own unique rules, they tend to mirror this dinsion.

Spirit Dinsion is a dinsion with spirit based rules. It is impossible to enter it with one’s physical body and only the soul can enter and interact with it."

"But how will we enter the Spirit Dinsion?"

"There are two ways to do so. First, the SPIRIT stat is strong enough. Once it is, you will be able to sense a gate that leads to the Spirit Dinsion. Second, skills. If you have a skill related to the Spirit Dinsion, you can use that as a guiding light to sense the gate and enter it. We will use this thod. Soulbound Dominion will lead us straight to the Spirit Dinsion."

Just as they were about to begin, Cass said, "How are you sure that we will end up at the sa place in the Spirit Dinsion?"

"Right, I forgot about that. We need to forge a pact of alliance through Soulbound Dominion. It will act as a beacon for our souls and we’ll naturally appear next to each other."

The boys then created a pact of alliance with each other and with Leonel, who was also entering to protect them. After making sure that all the formations of the facility were working at full capacity, they activated the skill. The boys felt as if they had entered space, with many glowing stars in front of them.

They were srised by the scene but soon Zeke ca to his senses and said, "We need to hurry up and leave the Void. There are many...things here whose re presence can annihilate us."

"Do all of these stars represent a different dinsion?"

"Yes, but a majority of them are dead dinsions. Let us just find the Spirit Dinsion and leave."

Zeke had spent much ti in the Spirit Dinsion and was familiar with its aura. he soon located the gate to the Spirit Dinsion and entered it with Cass. The Spirit Dinsion was mystical. Although it looked the sa as their dinsion, sothing about it felt different. The biggest one being Zeke. His body was glowing.

"Zeke."

"What?"

"You’re glowing."

"No, I’m not."

"Yes, you are."

"I’m not glowing. What you’re seeing is one of the rules of the Spirit Dinsion. I look like I’m glowing to you because your WILL stat is lower than mine. Along with the SPIRIT stat, the WILL stat also plays an important role here. If your WILL stat was equal to mine, I would look normal to you. I’ll tell you all about it in detail later. Let us find Grandpa and get this over with first."

They used the pact they had forged with him and sensed that he was close. They decided that it would be better to wait for him to find them instead of them going to him. Leonel arrived about 10 minutes later. He first used his spirit sense, an ability usually unlocked by A Grade Players, to survey the surroundings. Once he made sure that there wasn’t any danger around, he set a concealing and barrier formation. Although he was there to protect the boys, extra caution never hurt anybody.

"Everything is ready. You guys can begin whenever you want."

Zeke said, "Whatever happens, do not interfere. Even if we look like we’re dying, do not try to heal us. It will upset the delicate balance of the different affinities and will kill us."

Leonel looked uncomfortable but still nodded. Zeke looked at Cass and hugged him. Cass hugged him back and said, "See you on the other side lil bro."

"You too you doofus."

They both sat down and started ditating. They needed to be at their peak if they wanted to successfully pull this off. They ditated for an hour or so before they felt that they were ready.

They had to first create the Negative Connectors. They fused the necessary affinities and Faith. Then ca the tough part. They pierced their Mana Centres with the fused mana and started creating the Negative Connectors. This was sowhat straightforward because they didn’t have any organs in their souls. But all that didn’t matter because of the soul-piercing pain that they were experiencing. Literally. Their souls were being torn apart due to the conduits.

At this mont, in Dinsion Zero, their bodies were bleeding quite severely. The only reason that they were still alive was due to their strong innate healing.
