Holding little Anan, Alia Linton noticed Ryan Taylor’s intent, but she didn’t plan to let him hold the baby; she wasn’t comfortable letting a man with no experience hold her grandson.
"Anan! Let’s thank Uncle for the gift." Alia Linton held little Anan’s hand and made a thank-you gesture toward Ryan Taylor.
Ryan Taylor bent down towards little Anan, gently touching the baby’s cheek with his hand. "No need to thank ."
Such a tiny baby, he looked truly adorable.
"Ryan! Don’t you have any thoughts seeing little Anan?" Harriet White, sitting next to Alia Linton, seized the opportunity to subtly suggest as she saw Ryan Taylor curiously watching little Anan.
Upon hearing his mom ask the question, the smile on Ryan Taylor’s face froze montarily, but he quickly returned to normal. He tilted his head toward his mom, "Of course I have thoughts; I want to take little Anan ho with us."
He knew that wasn’t his mom’s intention, but he intentionally twisted her words.
"You want to take our Anan ho? I’m not okay with that. If you want a baby, go find a wife and have one yourself." Before Harriet White had a chance to speak, Alia Linton had already chid in.
As a mother, how could she not understand the intent behind Harriet White’s words? Since the other couldn’t speak directly, she spoke up on their behalf.
Ryan Taylor and Easton Hols were only a few months apart in age, but Easton Hols was already married with a child, while Ryan Taylor didn’t even have a girlfriend. Harriet White observed this with growing concern, especially after seeing little Anan’s birth; she beca even more anxious.
She had urged Ryan Taylor to find a girlfriend several tis, but each ti he managed to evade the topic, leaving her unsure of what to do.
"Exactly, hurry up and find a daughter-in-law so I can hold a grandchild." Building on Alia Linton’s words, Harriet White again pushed Ryan Taylor toward marriage.
Lately, Ryan Taylor had grown increasingly annoyed with Harriet White’s marriage pressure, considering moving out, but the timing was never right. He felt today was ideal.
"I’ll do my best!"
Though Ryan Taylor wore a smile, Harriet White could see he wasn’t happy; she clearly understood why he was unhappy.
Worried about upsetting her son, Harriet White didn’t press further, still hoping for him to bring ho a daughter-in-law and eventually a grandchild.
Wishing to avoid the topic of marriage pressure, Ryan Taylor played with little Anan briefly then returned to his seat.
Ryan Taylor led the gift-giving for little Anan, and others soon followed suit, showering him with gifts. In no ti, the area beside Alia Linton was piled with various toys and baby items.
Once the gifts were given, so guests took the opportunity to say their goodbyes and left. In the end, only Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood were left from the Turner Family, Ryan Taylor from the Taylor Family, and Callix Linton and Alia Linton, along with Michael Linton and Serena Zimrman, from the Linton Family.
As Easton Hols’s best friends, Thomas Fisher and Benjamin Shaw stayed behind, choosing to sit and quietly drink with Ryan Taylor.
Noticing the three might continue drinking for a while, Callix Linton suggested others leave and give them space as buddies.
"Drink a little less."
Lily Turner quietly cautioned Easton Hols before leaving the hotel with her family.
