She felt happy every ti she teased Edwin, making her feelings for him grow even more.

Leonor stood up and walked toward the glass table in front of the sofa, smiling faintly while continuing to stare at Edwin.

"I hope you succeed in registering as an instructor. We’ll be seeing each other often later," Leonor said.

Edwin fell silent for a mont before nodding in agreent. Not long after, Leonor left Edwin’s room.

The man was still shocked and never expected Leonor to say sothing like that. Still, he felt relieved because Leonor knew nothing about him.

He decided to finish his breakfast quickly and get ready imdiately. That morning, before nine o’clock, Edwin was fully prepared.

He was already wearing the luxurious shirt Sera had given him, and it fit his body perfectly.

Seeing himself like that, Edwin felt as though he had beco a noble once again.

When he stepped out of his room and walked toward the front door, Sera was already in the living room enjoying wine from her glass.

She imdiately lowered the glass when she realized Edwin had co to see her.

He looked truly charming, and his face matched the shirt he was wearing perfectly.

"You look perfect," Sera praised.

"Thank you. I’m happy with this," Edwin replied.

Sera put down her wine bottle and stood as she walked toward Edwin. "Are you ready?"

"Yes."

The woman nodded in understanding. The two of them walked together from the living room and left Sera’s residence, eventually leaving the residential district entirely.

They were imdiately greeted by the bustling crowd along the city’s main street.

So people pushed carts carrying rchandise, while others moved through the streets shopping.

The cries of newspaper boys echoed throughout every corner of the city, half shouting the morning’s headline news.

"Hot news! Viscount Edmund has relinquished his noble title. The Aschwin Family is on the brink of collapse!"

Edwin stopped walking when a newspaper boy approached him. Edwin handed him several copper coins in exchange for the newspaper.

Edwin and Sera read the headline, which explained that the Aschwin Family was on the verge of collapse after losing its most promising heir.

Not only that, but the newspaper also connected Viscount Edmund’s loss of noble status to the political map of the Archie territory.

Many sons of count families had begun flocking to court Clara.

They did so to win the girl’s heart, considering Clara was easier to manipulate compared to Edmund, who was mature and had high standards.

Edwin clenched the newspaper in irritation. The paper described Edmund’s concerns in detail.

However, Edmund also realized this was the consequence of his own actions.

"Edwin?" Sera asked.

"The political landscape has beco unstable. Many nobles are trying to win Clara over, especially after realizing she’s the only heir of the Aschwin Family."

"Besides obtaining Clara, they’re also aiming for the position of Marquess."

"They’re all sly, like a bunch of damned foxes!" Edwin snapped.

"Calm down," Sera replied. "I’m sure... your father will carefully choose Clara’s future partner."

"Besides, Clara is now a student at Livden Academy. It’s taboo for students to discuss marriage during their studies," Sera continued.

Edwin was fortunate to have Sera beside him the entire ti.

The woman kept reminding him that she understood what he was doing and what the best choice was. Edwin now understood more clearly what he needed to do.

"I should focus on Livden Academy," Edwin replied.

"Right. Focus on protecting Clara while making sure she can protect herself," Sera answered.

"I’ll do it."

They continued walking toward Livden Academy while throwing the newspaper into a trash bin.

The distance from Sera’s residence to Livden Academy was not that far. From where they stood now, they could already see the academy’s magnificence.

Edwin could see the lines of new student applicants still stretching from the entrance, though the number was smaller compared to the first day.

Now, Edwin was not arriving as a Viscount, but as an ordinary man.

He walked between the separate lines for lowborn and highborn students.

Edwin and Sera moved together toward the academy, intending to et Headmaster Nolan.

Several new students noticed Edwin and Sera’s arrival. Many of them grew curious and began whispering among themselves.

The two entered the academy grounds and t one of the female instructors.

The woman approached Sera and questioned the purpose of her visit.

Sera explained that she had co to speak with Headmaster Nolan.

"This is Edwin. He plans to join as a Highborn Instructor," Sera replied.

Edwin smiled and lowered his head politely toward the female instructor.

She glanced at him and responded coldly. His clothes were luxurious, but there was no noble insignia attached to his shirt.

Her attitude clearly showed that she still discriminated against anyone who was not a noble.

"A Highborn Instructor? Honestly, it’s quite difficult for a commoner to beco a Highborn Instructor."

Sera briefly glanced back before nodding in agreent. She understood that well. However, ability was what mattered most.

In this case, Edwin would demonstrate abilities that might surpass any noble.

"As for that, I can assure you his abilities are exceptional. He’s soone I trust," Sera replied.

"If I may ask, what is your na, Miss?" the female instructor asked.

"Sera... Sera Aimard."

"Sera Aimard? Did you just say Sera Aimard? Aren’t you the greatest mage in the Archie territory?"

"So he is—"

"He’s my friend. I trust his abilities. I think he should be tested first. Perhaps you’ll be pleased once you see what he’s capable of."

While they were talking, the three of them were startled by the appearance of a middle-aged man wearing the academy’s signature blue and white uniform.

The female instructor turned and imdiately lowered her head. She smiled and greeted the man politely.

"Head Instructor Elvan."

The man nad Elvan approached them, greeting Sera Aimard warmly before casting a sharp look toward Edwin.

Edwin’s build looked fit and suitable, his face handso, and he was still young.

From the black sword hanging at his waist, Elvan could already guess that Edwin’s class was Knight.

"A knight wants to register as a highborn instructor? Now I’m curious," Elvan remarked.

"Do you know the test for becoming a highborn instructor?"

"I do," Edwin answered.

"Then it seems we don’t need to waste ti talking anymore," Elvan replied.

"Draw your sword and fight ."

"If you can survive against for ten minutes, I’ll imdiately appoint you as a Highborn Instructor."

"What do you think?" Elvan asked.

Edwin nodded and extended his hand for a handshake with Elvan. "I agree!"
