Although the city of Cors isn't the most ideal place to perform this divinity absorption ritual, as the fallen god is sealed very close by, and if anything else gets out it could doom everyone at the sa ti, there's no better place than the Heavenly Palace.
This is Andrew's temple, and everything is under his control, so there's no better place than this. Now, it's true that they could do it in any other Heavenly Palace—there are several, after all—but they still decided to take the risk.
The reason is simple. If Andrew can't endure the process, no matter where he is, it will still be a catastrophe. Now, they decided to follow Fluffy's recomndation.
The ritual will be sexual, just as it was perford the previous ti. The only reason Andrew didn't want to do it was that it didn't seem right to him. Although they had done it once, it wasn't a good experience.
They must understand that they would ultimately be having sex in the presence of a deceased person, and that's not pleasant at all. Unfortunately, that was better than allowing the risk of failure to increase.
Performing a sexual ritual in front of the deceased god's body is uncomfortable and even strange, but it doesn't compare to the fact that if it fails, the world could fall into chaos, perhaps total destruction.
Andrew is a god candidate, so his resistance to the process of divinity is much stronger than that of the angels, but there is still a risk. In fact, even though Andrew has already perford this ritual once, that doesn't an it will be easier.
Many may think that since Andrew succeeded once, the second ti would be easier, as he is experienced and now stronger than before, but in reality, it only beca more difficult the more tis he did it.
It must be understood that this process has nothing to do with strength, as Samanuel and the angels are more powerful than Andrew. This ritual is actually based on Andrew's ability to resist corruption.
Although the body of the deceased god from which divinity is to be absorbed is pure, its concentration can cause deviations. In fact, this is what happened, giving birth to the fallen angels. A power as pure as divinity brings out all of a person's flaws and ambitions, and few can resist these temptations, and that is where the danger lies.
Andrew not only possesses his natural divinity as the candidate god Eros, but also the divinity of the god he absorbed earlier, so a third divinity can destroy the balance. The more divinities Andrew attempts to acquire, the greater the risk, no matter how powerful he is. It's a matter of endurance and control, not strength, which is why he is so dangerous.
Andrew and the others didn't want anything to go wrong, so they made the necessary preparations. Andrew activated the jewel with the formation that gathers divinity to expedite the process.
He also told his wives to prepare, and Chrhono, along with the other demigods, would monitor everything to prevent disaster from occurring before it beca irreversible. That doesn't an Crhono and the others will be present at the ritual, as Andrew would rather the world be destroyed than allow others to see his wives naked, or worse, see them having sex.
The ritual would be perford in one of the underground chambers of Cors Palace, and Crhono and the other demigods would be outside, watching for any extraordinary and dangerous changes.
Terra and her spirit sisters were also closely monitoring what was happening. While they could intervene only slightly, there were still so actions they could take to avoid problems, and that was another reason for holding the ritual in Cors.
Crhono may be the most powerful being in this world, but Terra and her spirit sisters have more experience dealing with the divine, as they are inhabitants of the divine world, so they could be essential in an eventuality.
This ti, only Andrew's wives would participate in the ritual. It's not that he couldn't bring his concubines as he did last ti; it's just that he didn't want to, and it wasn't necessary. Andrew's natural divinity was sufficient to ensure that he didn't need the support of these other won; his wives were more than enough. In fact, having more won in the ritual could be more problematic.
With everything settled, everyone focused on doing what they had to do. The city was quiet as usual, aning everyone was doing what they had to do, especially business, but no one knew the montous event that was about to happen.
Unfortunately, Andrew and the others weren't the only ones preparing for a big event. Purgatory and the fallen angels who had returned from their expedition to the sacred area were also preparing.
Neither group was aware of what the other wanted to do, but it was clear it would have consequences, and they wouldn't be simple ones. Purgatory and the fallen angels had obtained a great deal of loot.
The items they recovered would allow them to make great strides in their plans, and they were still hidden, lurking in the darkness, waiting for their mont. They too were preparing to perform a ritual, only unlike Andrew and his allies, it wasn't for the benefit of the world, but in pursuit of their own sick ambition.
Their plan was simple. Initially, they wanted to use the corrupted beasts the fallen angels had created to cause chaos and seize the bodies of deceased gods—this included the remnants of the fallen god.
Unfortunately, they were unable to capture many beasts due to the rapid movent of the continent's forces. So they went to the sacred area trying to find an alternative plan.
With the elents they extracted from that place, they could now create much more powerful beasts. They went from quantity to quality, and even had the twisted hope of creating a beast like the one born from the fragnts of the fallen god and the forr leaders of Purgatory.
While it was certainly difficult to replicate, as they didn't have the beast's body to study, they knew a bit about its capabilities and could focus on that aspect.
A single beast had caused so much fear and chaos, to the point that even Chrhono had trouble, so imagine a group of them. These guys were crazy and didn't hold back on achieving it.
The fallen angels were at the forefront of this experint. Sohow, despite being separate, all the fallen angels managed to create these corrupted beasts, so they had similar visions.
If these two fallen angels worked together, they could create sothing terrifying. However, their ambitions kept them apart. It's important to understand that this group was divided into three branches.
Each fallen angel wants to be the king and ruler of all, so they wouldn't join forces with each other, as they are enemies, even though they are currently allies. Purgatory, on the other hand, only wanted to revive the fallen god.
Because of this division, their abilities weren't being used properly, which in the long run was beneficial to Andrew and his allies, although they were unaware of these facts.
While the experints of this fragile alliance were being carried out, Andrew t with his wives in the underground hall of Cors Palace in the presence of the body of the deceased god, which Crhono had taken from the angels.
Crhono and the other demigods were also present, but only to bring the body, as they wouldn't be present during the ritual. They warned Andrew once more and left the room. Now it was just Andrew and his wives.
Everyone knew how the ritual worked, so they quickly began writing the runes and getting into position to begin. When everything was ready, they began. With the flash of runes written on the floor and walls, Andrew approached his wives and they began the ritual, which was no different than a night of sex.
Although from the outside that might have seed like what was happening, it was actually a rather complex ritual that required a lot of concentration and steps to follow, but to an ignorant person, it seed like just a one-man orgy.
Crhono and the others were outside the underground room, and so even outside Cors Palace, attentive to any event that might occur. It should be rembered that the previous ti Purgatory appeared and there was a monuntal battle.
Fortunately, this ti, Purgatory was too weak to carry out such an attack, and they were focused on strengthening themselves with what they obtained from the sacred area.
In fact, they weren't even aware that Andrew was performing this divinity-absorbing ritual, just as Andrew and the others were unaware that they had infiltrated the sacred area and were creating monstrosities.
Unexpectedly, the ritual proceeded without a hitch. Andrew, although he felt the threat of corruption, was actually able to resist it with relative ease, which surprised him, as it wasn't what he had expected.
Confused, he questioned Fluffy, who explained that it was due to the connection with his wives that everything had progressed so smoothly. Fluffy wasn't lying when she said that the sexual ritual was the safest option.
The participation of Andrew's won was not only to enhance the ritual's power, but to share its burden. While they could not absorb the divinity as he could, they could mitigate the corrupting influence, as the pleasure outweighed the temptation.
In short, having them there and performing the sexual ritual created a hierarchy among Andrew's divinities, placing his natural divinity as the priority; ultimately, it is the future god Eros.
