Past 11:30, going downtown and past the Hart Plaza, we spent so extra minutes on the road and then ca to a stop at a pier.

Descending from our ride, we boarded a speedboat, the proximity between our bodies very close.

It took a while, but soon we stepped off the boat and got on Belle Isle, her slim, soft arm entwined in mine, and our gazes swept over the sights on the island.

"The air slls clean."

"That's what happens when the likes of you are present to pollute it."

Amber, with her blue eyes, was far from offended by my words—a smile rather climbed her face.

"So, you watched my videos."

"It's not every day you see a woman speeding around like she has nine lives."

"n do it all the ti. Why can't a woman?"

"'Cause won don't have balls."

"Hmm, I heard the heavier the better."

"Yes."

"How heavy are yours?"

"Light actually. I have a strong relationship with life."

"So, a coward?"

"As long as I get to drink the sweetest wines and bang the consorts of those with weighty balls, call whatever you want."

"Hmm, I don't believe you. I'll save my nas for later."

Enjoying the light distributed over the hills on Belle Isle, Amber and I soon stood before our target destination, our eyes going over it.

"Wow, it's huge."

"Is this your first ti seeing a yacht?"

"Yes."

"Well, its na is Scowling Whale. It's over 80 ters in length and is a small town all on its own."

"How much does it cost?"

"Sothing between 100 and 160 million," Amber said with a bit of haughtiness.

"Don't be arrogant. It's not like you have a yacht."

"Says who?"

"Do you?"

"I believe you'll get one."

"Careful, Amber. You're too young to be having delusions."

From our position, we could see the several lights lit up around the ship. Its top was particularly bright and occupied by a lot of bodies.

There was a wide, long ramp extending from the yacht to the island, and seeing the two bouncers in suits that stood on its sides, we moved forward.

"How did you know?"

"Know what?"

"That the ship wouldn't sail out until 12 a.m.?"

"I didn't," I honestly said. "Just picked a ti I felt would be convenient for ."

"You an you could've very well chosen a ti that would see us arrive late, the ship already departed?"

"Yes. Your words over the phone swayed , they didn't exactly excite to co here."

Amber looked at with disbelief for so seconds and shook her head.

"Mr. Jacobs, you're late," the fat guard on the left said, taking an invitation card from Amber.

"We t up with so unfortunate delays on the road."

"You should have requested a chopper. Mr. Warthag will have to be inford of this."

Amber's body stiffened, but it was only for a second, and she smiled.

"No worries."

With his bald head, the guard swept his eyes over , registering my black shiny shoes, black trousers, and white shirt—and then he nodded.

"You can go in."

"Seems you have a personal relationship with the revered Sky."

"Sothing like that."

Considering the situation with the guards, it was clear Amber was in so sort of trouble, and hearing her answer, I comfortably nodded and faced ahead, my heart not the least bit stirred by the worried look on her face.

Before we got to the ship, just a step away, the sky blared out with the sound of blades whipping through it.

Our gazes lifted up, and there we saw a white helicopter moving toward the yacht.

"Is that the big man?"

"Yes."

"You think he'll let ride his helicopter?"

"No."

"Hmm, guess I'll just have to steal it."

Stepping onto the ship, Amber led forward, my eyes straying to her butt, which announced itself and let out a small bounce beneath her long red gown.

The back of Amber's dress had a long cut that revealed all the way down to her waist, and for her blonde hair, other than adding in so red beads, she had properly bundled it up.

Clack! Clack!

To complent her red dress, Amber had on red heels. She pointed her toes, which surprisingly poked out black—the sa color as her nails.

Amber's shoes clacked as she moved, and with each step, the sound seed to beco louder, and her chest lifted just the slightest bit.

Looking at the woman, I saw that even her head had risen, and I shook mine at how much she looked like her mother at the mont.

"Except that she had no aura."

.......

The party was hosted on the main deck of the ship, servants carrying drinks and people dressed in clothes and accessories too expensive moved around.

"Can't count myself out."

I didn't care to ask, but looking at what I wore, especially the watch on my hand, I was sure these clothes Catherine had given were not economically friendly.

Of course, the usual happened. Amber took with her like so lost kid, her presence drawing attention, but nothing special. She seed to be known by just a few people.

These few acquaintances engaged Amber in a light conversation, and when the last left, I questioned her:

"You don't seem that popular. All the people you just talked to are bums that would crawl to my POA if they knew who I was."

"Do you really think remaining anonymous about your status is a good thing?"

"Are you trying to convince that fa is good?"

"Yes. Take, for instance, that woman—the one with the silver dress and white heels. What do you think of her?"

"Well, other than her nice dress and beautiful face, the white hair reminding of a certain movie, her back proportions are incredible, way better than even yours."

My blunt words had Amber's lips tighten as she processed what I said, and I swear, were we not in public, she would've turned to look at her own butt.

"Focus. Is there anything else?"

"Well, yes. She and the people around her are standing on an elevated floor.

I'm guessing you and I are with the paupers, and she's with the elites."

"Yes. But don't worry. Things won't remain like this for much longer. Her ass will be at your rcy."
