"How are you feeling now, Deku?"

At the hospital entrance, Midoriya Izuku, covered in bandages, slowly left with the help of his mother. He was finally allowed to go ho for recovery.

During his stay, Recovery Girl had used her Quirk to accelerate his healing, which is why he could recover so quickly. However, even her Quirk couldn't fully restore his body in one go. His body couldn't handle the strain of rapid healing, so he had to recover gradually.

Before leaving, a doctor called Midoriya and his mother into the dical office and gave a serious warning:

"The human brain limits muscle output to prevent the body from overloading and breaking down. Did you use power beyond your limits during your fight?"

"Because of that reckless behavior, your body nearly collapsed. If it weren't for how strong and well-trained you are, you wouldn't have survived."

"Most importantly, if you push yourself to that extre again, you might die instantly."

The doctor's words left Midoriya silent. His mother, Midoriya Inko, couldn't stop her tears from flowing. She was more worried about his health than anyone else. Why did her Deku have to go through this...?

After completing the discharge process, Midoriya and his mom returned ho. His condition made even walking a challenge, so he needed to rest and recover for the ti being.

"Deku... I want to talk to you about sothing..."

Back ho, sitting face-to-face with her son, Midoriya Inko's eyes showed anxiety, hesitation, and above all, the determination of a mother. Finally, she spoke:

"Can you... stop being a hero...?"

"..."

Midoriya Izuku remained silent, looking down at his right hand, which bore scars from his fight with Muscular—marks of the power that had defeated his enemy.

"Mom... Let think about it for a while."

"Alright..."

Inko knew that asking him to give up on his dream was a cruel request. But she couldn't bear to see him like this again. She also couldn't forget the doctor's words: if he pushed his body beyond its limits again... Deku might die.

Leaving him to think on his own, Inko went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. As a mother, she had so much to do.

"A hero, huh..."

Midoriya Izuku was lost in thought. For a long ti, he'd been asking himself: could he still beco a hero?

According to Japan's laws for heroes, heroes were not allowed to kill their enemies. Having broken this law, it seed impossible for him to continue as a hero. But at the ti, he had resolved to let go of his dream and rcilessly struck down his enemy.

He couldn't stand the thought of a villain who had killed heroes walking free. Worse, this villain had tried to kill Kouta to save his own skin. Such a cri couldn't go unpunished.

Even if that villain were spared, he would likely end up being transford into a Nomu by All For One. Letting him die was, in the end, the best outco.

At first, Midoriya thought he might simply lose his qualification to be a hero. He was even ready to settle for a normal life, maybe becoming a police officer soday. But...

All Might didn't give up on him. He even helped hide the fact that Midoriya Izuku killed a villain. This deeply moved Midoriya but also filled him with even more guilt.

He thought, *You could've just given up on ... Why go so far to help ?* Midoriya couldn't refuse All Might's kindness. His most admired hero had done so much for him, more than he felt he deserved.

Now, two paths lay before Midoriya Izuku:

- Beco a hero, accept All Might's help in covering up his mistake, and continue chasing his dream.

- Give up his dream, listen to his mother's advice, and abandon everything he had worked so hard for since childhood.

It was a difficult decision. Midoriya felt utterly lost and didn't know what to do.

---

As evening approached, there was a knock at the door of the Midoriya household. Midoriya Inko set aside what she was doing and opened the door, finding a group of people standing outside.

"Excuse ... Is this Midoriya's ho?"

"Of course it is! Do you think I'd bring you to the wrong place?!"

A nervous and polite Uraraka Ochako asked softly, but Bakugo Katsuki rudely snapped in response, annoyed they doubted his directions.

"Katsuki? And you must be Izuku's classmates?"

Midoriya Inko quickly opened the door wider and invited them in. She wouldn't dream of being impolite to her son's friends.

"Hello, ma'am!"

The group greeted her with polite bows, except for Bakugo, who didn't bother with formalities.

"Co in and have a seat. Katsuki, your mom has been praising you a lot lately."

"Yeah, right. That old hag's always going on about how great Izuku is. She'd probably trade for him if she could."

"Uh..."

Midoriya Inko smiled awkwardly. She had been childhood friends with Bakugo's mother, but their kids had inherited very different traits from them: Izuku's sensitivity and Bakugo's temper.

"That's so rude, Bakugo!"

Iida Tenya scolded as he forced Bakugo into a bowing position with a firm hand. Even among familiar faces, politeness was a must, especially for aspiring heroes.

"Sorry to intrude, Midoriya-san! Is Midoriya-chan here?"

A cheerful voice chid in. It was Hatsu i, who had tagged along with the group. Joining them were Takeyama Urei and Todoroki Shoto.

Earlier that day, they had visited the hospital to check on Midoriya, only to find out he had already been discharged. After so thought, they got Bakugo to lead them to his house. Though grumbling and annoyed, Bakugo begrudgingly brought them there.

After inviting everyone in, Midoriya Inko quickly began preparing tea and snacks. It was the first ti Izuku's classmates had visited their ho, and she wanted to make a good impression.

Hearing his mother's call, Midoriya Izuku slowly descended the stairs. He was t with the sight of his classmates and friends, gathered in the living room.

"Everyone..."

"Midoriya-kun, are you feeling better?"

Takeyama Urei rushed forward. During her earlier hospital visits, Midoriya had mostly been unconscious, so she left quickly back then to avoid disturbing him.

"Midoriya, sorry to bother you."

Todoroki Shoto, quiet and reserved as always, greeted him politely.

"Looks like you're back to full strength, huh, Deku?"

"Bakugo, watch your words!"

Bakugo's unkind comnt made Iida Tenya so agitated that he looked like he might shatter his glasses.

"Midoriya, these are gifts for you."

Uraraka Ochako entered, carrying a big pile of fruits and cakes. The gifts were prepared by the others, but Ochako, embarrassed by how little she had brought herself, decided to carry everyone else's gifts together. Thanks to her Zero Gravity quirk, it felt weightless to her.

"Midoriya-chan~~ Look what I brought!"

Hatsu i, as lively as ever, pulled out so items from behind her. It was the "Reaper Gloves" and the "King of Storms" that Midoriya Izuku had left behind.
