Their eyes t—and suddenly, a wave of screaming erupted behind them.

Sophia looked back just in ti to see Lucas stepping out of the Lincoln, cold-faced and devastatingly handso.

"He’s here to pick up," she said calmly. "Paul, I really thought I wanted to talk to you today, maybe even convince you to leave your position. But clearly that was unnecessary. If you ever figure things out, you can co find ."

She stood and glanced around at the neatly lined-up, excited crowd. The corner of her lips lifted.

At the bar counter, she quietly slid out her black card.

"Cover the whole café," she told the barista, her voice low enough that no one else could hear.

Outside, Lucas held the door for her like a gentleman. As soon as she stepped out, he swiftly slipped sothing warm into her hand.

Heat spread across her palm—it was a pink hand warr.

"I bought more things for you at the office," he said. "Let’s go back together."

"Okay."

Once they left, the street gradually returned to normal.

Only when custors went to pay did they realize Sophia had covered everyone’s bill—instant, collective admiration lit up the room.

Back at Hilton Group headquarters, the mont she walked in, she was hit by an overwhelming wave of attention.

"Good morning, Mrs. Hilton!"

The synchronized greeting startled her so hard she almost jumped.

Everywhere she looked—smiling faces.

A little... eerie.

"Lucas," she muttered, "did you pull sothing again?"

"I just want everyone to rember that the lady of Hilton Group is you."

Sophia stared at him wordlessly.

Alex sighed quietly. Ancient beauties could topple kingdoms; modern beauties like Sophia haunt the boss’s dreams.

When she reached the office upstairs, she froze.

Half the massive room was filled with... stuff.

"What is all this?"

She stepped forward—stunned.

It looked like Lucas had bought out an entire won’s-products store.

Brown sugar ginger tea, jujube candies, bird’s nest, heating patches...

"I didn’t know which ones help, so I bought everything related. Try them."

He fastened a warming belt around her waist and turned it on.

Sophia raised a brow—it actually felt nice.

She hadn’t even sat down yet when a knock ca from the door.

"Mr. Hilton, Vivian is here."

Vivian walked in, dressed in a style suspiciously similar to Sophia’s.

Still looking down at her phone, Sophia let Lucas speak instead.

"You’ve been visiting my office a lot lately," Lucas said coolly. "What’s going on?"

"Are you not happy to see ?" Vivian asked. "I saw all the hate comnts online about you and got worried."

"They can’t handle ."

Lucas personally made a cup of ginger tea.

Vivian assud it was for her. She reached out—but Lucas smoothly moved past her and handed the cup to Sophia.

"Sophia, drink this. It’ll help with the pain."

He had never shown this kind of thoughtful care in front of Vivian before.

"Lucas, Sophia... I also ca to apologize on behalf of my sister. I wanted to invite you both to hotpot, but since Sophia doesn’t seem well..."

Hotpot was notoriously spicy.

Sophia chuckled lightly. "I’m fine. You two go. I don’t mind being by myself."

Lucas rejected instantly.

"You can go alone. I’m staying with Sophia. She needs soone with her."

Vivian’s jaw tightened. He wasn’t giving her any face.

"Sophia, how could I forget about you?" Vivian forced a smile. "So I changed it to French cuisine instead. Co with us—consider it giving so face, okay?"

Such a random dinner invitation, claiming to apologize, but clearly just wanting to dine with Lucas.

Well—if she insisted it was an apology, a free al was still a free al.

Sophia put on a thoughtful, slightly troubled expression.

"Alright... but can I bring my kids?"

"Of course."

Vivian smiled brightly.

She had no idea what she just agreed to.

At noon, the kids were shocked—and thrilled—to see their mommy show up to pick them up.

"Mommy, why are you here? Huh? Who’s that lady?"

"You’ll find out soon. Be good."

Vivian stared at the children, her expression unreadable.

They were Lucas’s kids—the future heirs.

Even if Lucas and Sophia split, the children wouldn’t disappear.

She needed them to like her.

The restaurant was crowded downstairs, but the entire second floor was empty.

"You’re all public figures," Vivian said. "I didn’t want unnecessary trouble, so I booked the whole floor."

Sophia nodded slightly.

"Order whatever you like, don’t hold back."

Sophia nodded again.

She wasn’t stupid.

After glancing at the nu, she smiled.

"One of everything."

The waiter froze.

Vivian’s smile stiffened.

Had she heard that right?

Every dish. One each.

"Vivian, isn’t that too much?" Sophia asked in a polite, testing tone. "I’ve never been here—maybe I’m being reckless?"

Vivian’s expression faltered, but she still forced a smile.

"It’s fine. There are a lot of us."

The six kids exchanged looks.

Charles whispered, "Mommy never sses with people. Looks like this lady ca with... intentions."

Eric nodded. "Be careful. Mommy’s a grown-up—she has to stay elegant. That ans she’s leaving the real work to us."

Dustin stared at Vivian silently.

Within a minute, he counted: Her eyes drifted to Daddy six tis—Mommy only once.

So she’s here for Daddy.

When all the dishes arrived, the massive table was completely covered.

"Vivian, did I order too much?"

Sophia asked again, then imdiately picked up her fork and knife without hesitation.

"Sophia, you’re really easygoing. Your personality is... enviable. Even though we haven’t interacted much, I’ve heard so much about you."

"My reputation is mostly superficial. Everyone’s hard work eventually pays off. So there’s no need to envy anyone—you can earn just as much on your own."

Sophia took a few bites, answering casually.

But she wasn’t feeling great.

"Excuse —I need the restroom."

She stood and left.

Lucas frowned slightly—he was worried.

Suddenly, Vivian placed her hand on Lucas’s.

He imdiately pulled away.

"Lucas, Sophia’s health is just too fragile. But with a good husband like you, she’s lucky. If it were , I wouldn’t bother you—you already have so much to deal with."

Her passive-aggressive tone made Angela’s eyes go ice-cold.

This woman is trying to steal our mommy’s husband?

Lucas gave Vivian a brief glance.

"Well, keep searching. Maybe one day you’ll find soone who loves you too."

"That’s not what I ant. I just think Sophia needs to take better care of herself. But you’re so busy every day, yet you still stay by her side—I really envy her."

"You should."

Just two words—and Vivian was left speechless.
