Marcus nodded, his voice low and steady. "Just be careful."

He glanced at Sophia. "And you—take it easy. No heavy movent for now."

"I’m fine, Uncle Gordon. Don’t worry," Sophia said with a soft smile.

Then she turned toward the people still lingering nearby, her lips curling higher. "So... how much longer are you planning to stand here?"

Aiden’s face tightened with embarrassnt before he stord off.

Lucas had played them like fools, and they had no one to bla but themselves for not realizing it sooner.

Now that they wanted to backtrack? Impossible.

"Mommy!"

The six kids ran toward her—but stopped short instead of throwing themselves into her arms.

Sophia reached out and gently ruffled their hair.

...

Sophia wasn’t dead. She was back.

The news had dominated the entire day, holding the number-one trending spot without budging.

Harper let out a long sigh. "Sophia... what now? They’re not going to let this go."

"Olivia has a stain on her record now. Getting out is easy. Getting back into showbiz? Almost impossible. Unless soone decides to drag her out, she’s done. And Andrew? He’s definitely out."

"Sophia, thank God you’re alive. If sothing had really happened to you, I swear—I would’ve dragged them all into hell with !"

Sophia arched a brow. "Don’t think I don’t know what you did. Running to the crash site with yellow ribbons, hanging them all over the trees, looking for signs I was still alive."

Uncle Gordon had even recorded the whole scene and shown it to her afterward.

"If Uncle Gordon hadn’t made it there in ti, you wouldn’t be sitting here."

Even now, the mory sent shivers up her spine.

Sophia shifted on the couch, trying to change position, but a sharp ache shot through her waist.

She still had days to go before the stitches could co out.

Suddenly—

"Don’t move!"

The loud voice behind her made her freeze mid-air.

Lucas walked over quickly, scooped her up with careful arms, and adjusted her position.

"Don’t just fling your hands around. Your waist is still injured. I made you so apple juice."

He went straight to the kitchen, brought it out, and gently fed her.

"Harper’s still here," Sophia muttered, cheeks warming.

Her skin was thick—but not that thick.

Lucas shot Harper a look.

Harper’s heart twisted.

She had only co to hang out... and sohow ended up being the third wheel.

"Well—since that’s the case, I’ll head out first. I won’t get in your way."

She left in a hurry.

Sophia sighed. "You’re not afraid she’ll run away one day and no one will treat nicely anymore?"

"I’ll treat you nicely. Here, drink—it’s sweet."

She took a sip.

"Seriously," she continued, "shouldn’t you go to the company? You’ve been absent two days straight. It’s not even a holiday. People will say you’re slacking."

"Let them talk. Whoever dares, I’ll fire them. I’m spoiling my wife—why do they need to know anything?"

Lucas smiled, the corner of his lips lifting. "Your wound needs careful protection, or it’ll scar."

"If it really scars, that’ll look ugly."

"It’s fine. If you get one... I’ll go get one too."

Sophia let out a helpless laugh. He had been glued to her side ever since she ca back.

"Alright, stop joking. We’re going to see them later. I’m curious what they look like after spending ti locked up."

...

Police station.

Andrew walked out in handcuffs, looking like he’d aged years overnight.

When he saw Sophia, his expression barely flickered.

"Seeing —doesn’t that shock you?" she asked lightly.

"Sophia, I lost to you. I’ve got nothing to say."

He looked at her again, eyes flat as still water.

"Oh? Really? If you hadn’t tried to kill , none of this would’ve happened. You’re in there because you put yourself there. Acting like a victim—did you think anyone would pity you?"

"You surviving was the biggest mistake I ever made. I never thought you’d crawl back from sothing that dangerous!"

Andrew’s face twisted with fury.

Sophia let out a cold laugh. "Makes sense. You’ve been on your way down for a long ti, Andrew—your collapse was only a matter of ti. But wait... isn’t Olivia supposed to be the one you cherish the most? Tell ..."

"What are you going to do? I’m warning you—if you dare lay a finger on Olivia, I will never forgive you!"

"Oh? Nervous now? You always act like nothing can shake you."

Sophia’s smile sharpened. "Let make sothing very clear. No matter who plotted to kill —whether it was you or soone else—I won’t let any of you walk away. Including Olivia. I know exactly what kind of trash she is. Because of you two, I lost my family. Now it’s your turn to pay."

Her eyes turned icy.

Her mother—full of warmth and love—ended up with nothing. Worse, she lost her life because of them.

"Sophia! Don’t you want to know how your mother really died?!"

Andrew shot to his feet, terrified she’d go after Olivia. His voice cracked with agitation.

He was shoved back into his seat imdiately by the officers beside him.

Sophia glanced over her shoulder, lips lifting in a faint, cruel smile.

"Did you ever consider this? Even if I never learn the truth, your ending won’t change. The truth doesn’t matter to anymore. As long as I get to watch you suffer the sa pain I went through, that’s enough."

"I’m your father! You think you can cut off our bloodline just like that? You hate that the blood in your veins is mine—don’t you?"

"So what?"

Sophia raised a brow, looking at him as if he were nothing.

"Relax, Andrew. I’m not sending Olivia to jail that easily. You wanted dead? I’ll return the favor the exact sa way. I’ll let her gain everything... only to lose it piece by piece. I want her to feel adored, then ruined. I want her to feel the spit of thousands on her na."

Andrew choked on his rage, face turning red. "You—Sophia, don’t go too far! Or else—!"

"Or else what? You gonna co out here and hit ? Go on, I’ll wait.

Too bad... I doubt you’ll ever get the chance."

Sophia pulled out her phone and opened a ssage right in front of him.

"See that? Those two disgusting lovebirds suddenly look so affectionate now. Here’s sothing even more exciting— The Morgan family business will eventually fall into my hands. I’ll be doing you a favor by clearing out every last piece of trash. As for Susan? Don’t worry—I’ll make sure she gets the ending she deserves."

Sophia smirked at herself, then turned and walked out.

Behind her, Andrew erupted into a violent roar.

"You won’t end well, Sophia! You’ll pay for this! I swear it!"

Sophia didn’t even acknowledge him.

Outside, Lucas was casually playing with a cigar. The mont he saw her, he hid it behind his back.

She arched a brow. "Hand it over."

He hadn’t lit it, but still tucked it away obediently.

"Done talking?"

"Yeah. There’s sowhere else I want to go. I need to tell her...that I’ve finished this ga."

Mom...

I’ll make them suffer.

I’ll make sure they lose everything.
