Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Letting You Die Would Be Too Easy for You Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Letting You Die Would Be Too Easy for You “Letting you die would be too easy for you,” Ye Sihan’s dark eyes shimred with a rciless sheen, “Since you want to atone for your sins, I’ll give you that chance.”

“As long as you let live, I’ll do anything you say.”

“Just like the bitch who bore you,” Ye Sihan’s voice was filled with coldness and contempt.

Tang Yu understood the aning behind his words, she and her mother were alike, both weak and disgusting people.

But she still had four children, how could she die?

For her children, she was willing to do anything.

At night, a maid ca to bring her food, and actually, as soon as Tang Yu ate, she would regain her strength.

She also realized that her clothes had been changed. Then, had her cesarean scar also been seen?

When the maid ca to collect the dishes, she asked her, “Who changed my clothes?”

“I did,” the maid said.

“By yourself?”

“Yes.”

Tang Yu thought that asking ‘Did you see anything’ would sowhat imply guilt. What would it an if the maid had seen sothing? She had no reason to go out of her way to tell Ye Sihan.

“It’s nothing, thank you,” she said.

The maid didn’t speak and bent down to continue her task.

Despite this, Tang Yu was still quite anxious.

The scar on her abdon was always a threat.

To prevent any further issues, the only way was to leave.

But her passport had already been taken by Ye Sihan, and without it, she couldn’t leave the country. Maybe hiding in another city would be possible, right?

However, she couldn’t act rashly for the mont, she needed to let Ye Sihan lower his guard first.

Tang Yu got off the bed and went to find her bag, taking out her cell phone from it.

Going to the bathroom to call Li Xue.

Eager to know how her children were doing, whether they were making a fuss or not…

After closing the bathroom door, Tang Yu dialed Li Xue’s number, “Sister Xue…”

“How are you now? I called you, but you didn’t answer. Is everything okay?” Li Xue asked with concern.

“I’m fine, it’s just that I can’t leave this place.”

“Did you call the police? If you can contact , you can report to the police, right?”

“I did, but it was no use,” Tang Yu said heavily.

She hadn’t even seen a shadow of a police officer.

“Ye Sihan’s influence is indeed frightening. The fact that he’s the king of power in Kyoto is no re rumor,” Li Xue exclaid.

“Right now…” Tang Yu glanced warily at the bathroom door and lowered her voice even more, “How are the children?”

“Although they’re well-behaved, they’ve beco much quieter. They ask every day when mommy is coming back,” Li Xue sighed.

“I… I will co back as soon as possible,” Tang Yu’s eyes welled up with tears.

“Don’t worry too much, take care of yourself.”

“Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Tang Yu wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and steadied her emotions before reaching for the bathroom door.

As soon as the door opened, she found herself under a dark shadow, causing her body to shake violently, freezing on the spot.

When she looked up to et Ye Sihan’s dark, dangerous eyes, her heart constricted and she couldn’t help but take a step back.

“Who were you on the phone with?”

“… Li Xue. She called , but I missed it, so I was just returning the call, telling her… about my situation, and she’s really worried about …” Tang Yu, fearful Ye Sihan may not believe her, imdiately showed him the call log. “See, I’m not lying to you.”

Ye Sihan didn’t say whether he believed her or not, his black eyes deeply cold, “After tonight, you can leave.”

“Ah?” Tang Yu was surprised.

“Do you want to stay here forever? Are you even worthy?”

“Not worthy,” Tang Yu looked down submissively.

As the dark figure left and she heard the door close, Tang Yu finally raised her head, her pupils filled with hopeful light.

Ye Sihan had actually agreed to let her leave! There was nothing more joyful for her than this!

So she slept very peacefully that night, and even had a dream.

I dreamt that my body was covered in children, and upon looking, I realized they were four little ones.

Holding their soft little bodies, I smiled in sheer happiness.

Just as I was imrsed in this bliss created by the dream, a silent shadow approached my bed, stood for a mont, and then took the cellphone from the bedside table.

The next day, Tang Yu woke up early, eager to leave this place, not even wanting to have breakfast.

She put her cellphone in her bag and carried it downstairs.

Uncle Wen approached, “Miss Tang, will you have breakfast now?”

“No, thanks. I have to go back, Mr. Ye has allowed to return,” Tang Yu said, her expression slightly hesitant before she could speak further when she heard Uncle Wen ask.

“Shall I call a car for you?”

“Yes, thank you,” Tang Yu replied.

As the car drove away from the gate of the Ye Mansion, Tang Yu’s heart finally began to settle back down into her stomach.

Wearing black leather slippers, her long legs were straight, and then there was the black, wrinkle-free shirt.

Dressed entirely in black, Ye Sihan stood on the balcony, his abyss-like eyes dangerously fixed on the car driving away, with the piercing focus of a beast stalking its prey.

When Tang Yu got ho, the children were not there; Li Xue had just returned from dropping them off.

Seeing her, surprise and delight crossed Li Xue’s face, “You’re back? Is everything all right?”

“Yeah, it’s fine, don’t worry. Thanks for all your hard work these past days. I’ll pick up the kids this afternoon.”

By a little after four, Tang Yu took a cab to the school.

Even though she was picking up the children as usual, she still felt uneasy inside.

Would Ye Sihan send soone to watch her?

Didn’t he find out imdiately when she went to the airport last ti?

This made Tang Yu glance around from ti to ti while on the subway.

She saw no one suspicious.

Thinking of taking a taxi directly on the way back! The road wasn’t far, after all.

The four little ones were initially surprised to see her, but then their eyes lit up, and they scrambled towards her, waving their little legs—

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

When Tang Yu held their soft little bodies, she almost cried.

Especially seeing their aggrieved expressions, her heart ached unbearably.

They were only three years old, so young; what could they understand?

Why did she have to be separated from them? How helpless they must have felt!

Not daring to linger at the school gates, she hailed a taxi and hurried away.

In the car, the four little ones clung to her without letting go, just like in her dream, her body covered with adorable little children.

“Did Mommy go on a business trip?” Junjun asked.

“For so long!” Zhengzheng added.

“You can’t do that again!” Haohao protested.

“Um…” Xibao hung her little head low, showing her unhappiness.

Tang Yu hugged them tightly in her arms, “I’m sorry, my dears. Mommy had so very important things to take care of, but once they were dealt with, Mommy ca back.”

As for the future, she really couldn’t guarantee.

Ye Sihan seed like the fiercely unpredictable sort; demanding atonent. Even though she had been allowed to return, it didn’t an he would let her go.

Even if she were alone, her heart would tremble, let alone with four children…

She always felt as though so danger was waiting for her…

That night, Yu Zhaohui called her, “Xiaoyu, next week is Mommy and Uncle Ye’s wedding anniversary. You must co and attend, okay?”

“I won’t go,” Tang Yu imdiately responded with rejection. She had been abused by Ye Sihan because of the marriage between Yu Zhaohui and Ye Xianghua.

Attending would only bring her unhappiness, wouldn’t it?

“Why won’t you co? It’s Mommy’s wedding anniversary, she’ll be sad if you don’t show up. Plus, your Uncle Ye hopes you’ll co too, he’s even prepared a present for you!”
