Sharon’s POV—

The knife inserted into the wall. perfectly. It was like I was cutting butter. I lifted the other knife and lunged it in the wall. Repeating it, I started to climb with the help of knives. First, right and then left. It was a mantra for which I repeatedly chanted.

A drop of sweat trickled down my forehead into my eye, causing to almost lose my balance. But knife did slip from my hand. Fuck! I imdiately conjured another knife and lunged in on the wall. Taking a sigh of relief, I look down. A shiver crawled down my spine. If I fell from this height, there was no chance for my survival.

Taking another quick breath, I resud my climbing. After a certain distance, I spotted a few soldiers with bows in their hand. Bows are the best weapon when fired from a long range. But what about close range? I slowly went towards the edge of the wall’s end point. A soldier was dozing off with his head on the tallic railing.

The tallic railing had no gap. It was made uniformly, to act as a shield for the soldiers. I supported all my weight on the right hand, and slowly lifted the knife to check it. As I tapped on it, a small, almost inaudible noise was heard by my ears. No, I can’t pierce it. This tal will create a loud noise, the mont I pierce it. Not a very loud noise, but it will be audible to the soldier.

Suddenly, a thought appeared in mind. Guns. Aren’t they the most convenient for silent killings? I conjured a gun with a silencer on it and aid at the soldier’s head.

I pulled the trigger and killed him with a headshot. My aim is really perfect. Blood drops slowly dripped one-by-one down the railing.

With him out of the way, I pierced the railing with my knife. As I predicted... the sound was not loud enough to attract the other soldiers.

As I reached the terrace, I quickly hid behind a big box. Observing their movents and terrace’s division, I devised a plan. There was one compartnt, just near the box. Each enough to hide 10 people... or, dead bodies. The whole terrace was divided into five parts, separated by walls and joined by doors. Either unequal or, equal number of soldiers are there in each part.

Suddenly, I hear footsteps coming towards this box. My heartbeat raced. He won’t be able to see that dead body, will he? Although, from his perspective it’s very hard to see its ’pierced.’

Third POV—

The man walked while rubbing its belly. After eating like a pig, his only desire was to sleep which he was clearly prohibited from. The man silently shed so tears of grief, while cursing his commander. Just as he was about to go to the toilet, he saw Carlo sleeping on the edge of the railing. He sneered ntally. Lucky bastard found a loophole and made it look like he was guarding the palace, while in reality that bastard was sleeping.

"Oi! Carlo!"

He was about to give him a piece of his mind, when suddenly he heard sothing from his left side. Turning towards his left, he found nothing but their weapon crate. Probably, because of a mouse. There were plenty of mice lurking on there. He should complain to their commander for making this area a mice infested place. Why did none of the mice never dare to go down? Only tornting him and his colleagues were the only thing those wretched creatures knew.

*Tick* He once again heard that sound. Gritting his teeth, he walked towards the box with heavy steps. Did the mouse think it could scare him? The answer was, no. It couldn’t. Just as he reached the weapon crate, he felt his vision blurred.

Sharon pulled out the knife from his head and put him inside the compartnt. Huh? Whose idea was to make a toilet compartnt here?

Shaking her head, she ’cleaned’ the soldiers one after one.

Sharon’s POV—

Who the fuck created this palace? Five toilet compartnts? Isn’t one enough? Ah, forget it. I wiped my bloody hands on my clothes and decided to go down. I believe it must have started already.

I started to go down the stairs as if no one existed. Where are the guards? Aren’t you all wondering about this? Why am I able to walk freely without triggering any security asure?

It was quite easy. Being a maid, is quite advantageous. Cleaning the palace was a delight, coupled with the maids who liked to gossip, was a cherry on top. And , being their target was even more exciting. I got to learn so much. Like how many soldiers work in the palace, the number of floors, what to eat, when to eat, where soldiers’ foods were prepared, etc. The maids were kind enough to discuss everything in front of .

I should thank them personally but I don’t have enough ti now. Throughout the way, I saw countless maids and soldiers’ unconscious figures on the sideways and halls. The dead soldiers upstairs had to cook their food by themselves. It’s due to their constant need to guard the palace. Although, they don’t need to guard anything now.

All of a sudden, a wave if dizziness hit . With the help of a table, I balanced myself. It seems the poisonous air is acting again. While it didn’t affect to a large extent, so effects are quite evident like crankiness and dizziness. So, it’s better for to leave this place as soon as possible.

I checked rooms one after one but I found absolutely no sign of the teleportation array. Just as I reached outside the last room, I saw two soldiers collapsed on the ground in an orderly fashion. Hmmm... except this room, not a single room had unconscious soldiers/guards near it. On top of that, this particular room was locked with a chain. Stepping on the unconscious figures, I slashed down the chain with a sword.

The chain didn’t make any sound as it directly landed on the first soldier’s body.

*Click* I opened the room and entered it. On the ground, lots of lines were running, along with so strange figures and lots of calculations. Well, I reached my target. Now, all I need is to use it get out from here.

But... how to use it? While I know this array is mostly used to teleport soldiers from their kingdom to this region. Obviously, it can be used to teleport from this point as well. Yet, the higher probability is... that I will be teleported into the demon realm instead.

Ah, forget it! If I alter this array randomly, then I will definitely not teleport to their realm. All I need to is, alter these lines... yes, it’s simple, very-very simple.

I started altering the lines by making them criss-cross each other. All the lines were parallel before; intersecting them would definitely change my location. I rubbed the strange figures with the hem of my cloth and created my own doodles with the help of mana.

After finishing my ’art,’ I stand beside it and revered in its brilliance. Maybe I should have a webtoon artist instead. It was clear that my art needs be recognized.

Wait. I have finished altering it. How should I activate this? Does it need anyone’s permission? At that mont, a brilliant idea flashed my mind.

"You!" A familiar voice interrupted .

"Celle, why are you awake?" I asked in an annoyed voice.

Celle, who staggered clearly with exhaustion, glared at with utmost hatred.

"H-how did... y-you find out this room?" hissed Celle.

I shook my head in pity. "You know, you should keep an eye on your maids. I an, who the fuck gossips so much. They literally discussed everything. Then again, it’s not their mistake. They probably have never thought that I would listen to their gossips. Heck, they even told how to prepare sleeping potion to knock out demons. A slow and steady potion, if I may say."

Celle face distorted hearing my words. She raised her sleeve and took out a dium length custod sword.

I raised my hands in surrender. "Look, we don’t need to fight. You can go in your way and I go, mine... okay?"

"You scum! I will kill you!" Celle yelled in anger.

"Can’t we talk about peace? Just for you, I will create a ’UN’ here in this world, just for you. We will preach peace. No more fighting! Demons and humans will be brother-in-arms and sister-in-sisterhood! Wait, the last one ca out quite weird. L-let’s bury the h-hatchet, t-that’s w-what I am saying," I tried to reason with her.

Celle let out a battle cry and ran towards .

"W-w-wait! Ah! Fuck it!" I sliced my palm open with a knife, letting my blood drop on the ground. The array glowed with an ominous red and black colour. Then, it vanished.

Celle’s face turned pale. With a trembling voice, she asked, "W-what h-h-have... you... done?"

Before I could answer, a translucent sphere ford around and lifting in the air. It started spinning along with it. The speed increased gradually and my consciousness had started to slip from my grasp. The last thing I saw was getting crushed by the it.
