Sharon’s POV—

What the fuck... where am I? I looked up and found myself lying on the ground. My hands were bloody and dirty. My body was wrapped in rags. I touched my face and found that my lips were busted. Even my ears were pointed. I was in my elf form. But why? Unless, I was using third ability... my ears should appear to be normal. I sat up and analysed my surroundings. Moonlight was showering my form, which erged from the arms of the moon, as its presence helped fasten my tense thoughts. I was surrounded by large trees with an adequate spacing. The occasional rustling of the leaves, made scared a bit. Forest... I am in the middle of the forest, but that’s not it. I am lost.

Why am I here? I don’t think it’s plausible... to suddenly find yourself to be in the middle of forest. It’s beyond my comprehension.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps. Is soone here? I rushed towards the source in the hopes of finding soone.

"Hey! Is soone here?" I yelled loudly.

"CAN YOU HEAR ?"

"I AM HERE!!"

The sound of footsteps even increased more. Even so incoherent voices entered my ears. I frantically looked around to find soone... anyone. I don’t whether it was a living being or the forest was whispering as if it wanted to tempt . I felt the trees were looking at , like they had eyes and were watching in anticipation. Suddenly, soone grabbed my arm, making shriek loudly. I felt that my soul had left my body.

I imdiately turned back to see who it was. If my soul didn’t leave before, this ti it definitely would. My face paled drastically. Goosebumps were all over my body. A terrified grasp escaped my mouth.

"Run," said the person, whom I knew very well. Silver hair, red eyes and those pointy ears... the ears which screams about the person’s identity. It was like I was looking at a mirror, except the ears. It was .

"H-how? W-w-who are y-you?" I asked.

’I’ was looking at with panicked eyes and her face had an unprecedented horror etched on it. She was in rags. Wounds were present all over body. Her lips were busted. A pit ford in my stomach. I pried her hands off mine and took a few steps back. Her condition... was similar to mine. No, her situation was sa as mine. It was completely sa as mine.

"I don’t have enough ti to say... just run." Her voice was on the verge of breaking.

"WHO ARE YOU?!" I yelled loudly. She looked at as if I was an idiot. Tilting her head, she replied in an obvious tone.

’I’ replied, "I am you." I staggered on my feet and almost lost my balance. What is she saying?!

"You are here! Have you stopped running?" asked a very-very familiar voice. My breath hitched. I didn’t even need to look at her to know who she was.

"W-why are y-you here? K-Kaerin..." This question escaped my mouth against my will.

Kaerin smiled and brandished her sword out of her sheath. "Why, you ask? I am here for you. Are you happy to see ," smirked Kaerin. She raised her sword and dashed towards .

These words triggered sothing in . I was breathing rapidly and my vision was getting blurry. I dropped to my knees on the ground.

’I’ said, "Don’t repeat the sa mistakes as before." These were the last words before I lost my consciousness.

"WHAT!!" I scread loudly as I fell down from my bed. I was panting heavily and was completely drenched in sweat. I looked at my hands and then observed body. There was not a single wound on my body and I was in my maid’s uniform. My lips were not busted as well. I touched my ears and found it to be in its base form. This made realise that it was a dream... nightmare to be specific. But it felt so real that... I tremble just by thinking about it. In the dream, I was in a forest. Lost and injured, with rags covering my body. And when I heard so incoherent noises... I ran after it and t a ’,’ who was in the sa state as . I pulled on my hair in frustration. Fear was radiating from her form. ’I’ told to run. But above that, when I asked ’her’ identity... she replied that she was .

I got up and walked towards the waterpot. My entire body was tensed. Washing my face with the water from the pot, I rethought the words again. ’I am you.’ These words were so confusing that it made to want to pull all my hair off my head. I once again shivered from those words. But what shocked was, Kaerin attacking . No, it was just a nightmare. Just forget it! It’s unreal!

As I said Kaerin will never attack but if she does... then she won’t be able to. The mark prohibits her from doing so. She loves and so does I. I refuse to believe that she would attack . Even if it was Maria, I wouldn’t have believed it. While I don’t love her as much as Kaerin, but I do love her as well. Argh, I am like a scumbag who loves both of them. Maybe, I am a scum but does it matter. None of them actually had resentnt towards her decision. I liked both of them and they didn’t have any problem with it. Wait! I am trying to justify myself? Hah, just... just let it be.

I sat on the bed and thought about the dream once again. The little distraction helped a bit to calm down. Taking a deep breath, I laid on the bed.

Third POV—

Kaerin was sitting on the bed with tension all over her face. Suddenly, the door of her room opened and Maria walked in.

"Any updates?" asked Kaerin.

Maria shook her head in denial. "We will find her," said Maria, with a serious tone.

Kaerin gritted her teeth in anger. What kind of personal knight she was? First the festival, and then this. That day she should have gone with her. If she had gone with her, nothing would have happened.

"Did that ’bastard’ take her? I am seriously doubting him," Kaerin sneered in anger.

Maria knew which ’bastard’ she was talking about but she didn’t take his na.

"He is not a fool. Fox, you know how crafty and manipulative he is. Each one of us knows about it."

Kaerin yelled, "So, what should we do? Where should we find her?" she glared at Maria, "I think you trying to save your forr master, don’t you?"

Maria’s face turned into an emotionless but her eyes were glaring daggers at Kaerin. "What did you say? Are you seriously alleging that I am trying to save him?" Her voice was completely cold.

"Yeah. If not, then why? Why are you saying it couldn’t be him? Do you even believe that yourself? Hundred percent sure?"

Maria yelled, "No. I am not." She closed her eyes, "I just want her to be safe. Don’t misinterpret my words. He is not an idiot who will do this... wait a minute," she opened her eyes and looked at Kaerin, "maybe there is sothing else."

"What do you an?" asked Kaerin.

"I an, what if Kelshin is not the one who kidnap her? Instead, he planned it and used soone else to do that."

Kaerin looked a bit shocked at her words. It was highly possible. "Then we should go there!" exclaid Kaerin.

"And what? If we go there, we will be walking right into his trap. This will endanger her life, even more. Apart from us two, there is no one who could save her. Don’t get wrong. Leon is great and all but he can’t rescue her with his limited knowledge on this. We need to be smart."

"Suroralia..."

Maria’s pupils were blown apart. She asked, "What?"

Kaerin nodded, "That bitch... she is still his master, right? Let’s get her help."

"Do you even know what are you saying? I don’t trust her. Why do you think she will help us?"

"She will help us. Didn’t she tell us that she liked Sharon? Why not use it to our advantage?"

Maria fell in contemplation. It was true. She liked Her Majesty even in her past life. But she wasn’t trustworthy. She was highly unstable.

"She is unstable. We shouldn’t trust her. It will backfire on us. What will happen if she throws us under the bus? It might endanger Her Majesty."

Kaerin said, "I know but this is the only thing we can do. Listen, this will not only prove that she is loyal or not but also, it will show us where her actual intention lies. It will show whether she is still that power-hungry bitch or not. And if we find her untrustworthy, then we would just kill her... before she even dares to hurt Sharon. Kill her and wipe her entire presence from this planet."
