Sharon’s POV—

There were a lot of people around . So of them were talking; so of them were drinking and others were... doing sothing else. I don’t know what they were doing but... they were doing sothing, I guess. I looked ahead and saw the receptionist talking with soone.

I walked towards and stood near the counter.

"... I think you should do that mission. It will give you a lot of rewards if I may say," said the receptionist. Judging from her tone, she is trying to persuade this guy into accepting this mission.

Most of you must wondering one thing. ’Why am I here?’ To answer this question, we have to go back to my novel once again. Demons are not allowed into human territories, especially into Charatshore empire. So, Aerila devised a plan. She built a guild and used it for monitoring the empire. Basically, from outside it appears like a normal guild which issues missions and does other guild-specific stuff. But from inside, it acted as a fortress for the demon queen on the empire’s soil.

Aerila acted as the guild leader. But she had used a fake na. Her na was quite infamous among the humans. On top of that, her na was not a very common na. People might beco suspicious of her identity. So, she used the na ’Cecilia.’ I have to say it wasn’t a very creative na, and was oddly similar to her real na.

"NO! I WILL NOT! GOING THERE WILL WARRANT A DEATH ORDER FOR !" yelled the man, with an angry tone. Then he turned and walked out of the building.

The receptionist sighed, "No one’s taking this mission," she turned towards , "I have never seen you before. Are you here to register as a rcenary?"

I shook my head in denial. "I am not. I am here for so other purpose," I said.

The receptionist raised her eyebrows at . She scrutinized from top to bottom and said, "You are wearing a hood. Shouldn’t you remove it? It’s very hot in here."

"No, thank you. I am feeling quite cold," I replied.

She laughed at my words. It was full of mockery. Ceasing her laughter, she sneered, "How unique! Everyone in here is feeling hot whereas, you are feeling cold. Tell , why are you here? If you are here to waste my ti, then I will have to ask you to leave."

"I am here to et the guild master."

"She is not soone who would et people like you just because ’you’ want to. I think you should go," said the receptionist, disdainfully.

I knew she would behave like this. But I have a trump card hidden up in arsenal. I said, "Blood is red, and roses are red as well. I offer my blood as roses are unwell." It was the password that only high demon officials used when they would want to et their queen.

The receptionist expression changed. Her body was now completely stiff. She was looking at with complete alertness. She asked, "Why are the roses unwell?" Her tone was serious.

I replied, "Because the roses don’t grow."

The receptionist nodded and said, "Follow ." Saying that, she started walking. I imdiately followed after her. She led to a hall which had a very gloomy and scary vibe. Going downstairs, we walked a few more steps and stopped in front of a door. She opened the door and motioned to enter after her.

After she entered, I went into the room as well. When I entered, I saw a woman over 6ft resting on a couch. Her face covered with her long arms. Black was the colour of her hair. Lilacs decorated the room with beauty and made the air around us sweet to sll.

The receptionist said, "Your Majesty, this person wants to et you. She even knows the password."

"I will handle it, Lola. You can go now," said the woman. Her voice held a bit of hoarseness in it.

The receptionist bowed and left the room. I stood and waited for the woman, whom I think as Aerila, to say sothing. But she didn’t say anything and kept her face buried in her arms. I swallowed my saliva audibly. The room was so quiet that my heartbeats were like the beats of a DJ. Just when I was about to open my mouth, vines shot out from the ground and wrapped around my body.

"What the fuck!" I scread in shock and attempted to break out of the vines’ hold. But the more I struggled, the more the vines tightened around my body. Finding it to be futile, I gave up. I could have used my ability but Aerila might take it as a sign of act of war. It’s the last thing I want.

The vines pushed towards and forcefully made kneel on the floor.

Aerila finally removed her arms from her face. She looked at with dark and brooding eyes. Her vines tore apart my hood, revealing my identity to her.

"How daring of you to co here without any security! I never thought that you would personally co to ," said Aerila, with a cold and emotionless tone. She grabbed my throat and pressed it slowly.

"Ack! I-I am h-here to t-talk with you," I tried to reason with her.

"Talk? Your grandfather also said this to my parents? ’I want to talk. I want peace.’ These were his words. But what did he do? He waged a war against us. Do you even know why he waged a war against us?" I shook my head in denial. Her grip tightened. "Your grandfather wanted to take control White River. He told that his empire... your empire lacked salt. That bastard. He used it as an excuse to wage war against us. Do you know that? I AM ASKING YOU! DO YOU KNOW THAT?"

"N-no," I wheezed out.

Aerila’s face twisted in her anger. Her silverish eyes held hatred and disgust for . She yelled, "HE KILLED MY PARENTS! HE FUCKING KILLED THEM! JUST BY LOOKING AT YOUR FACE, I FEEL UNCONTROLLABLE ANGER. I WANT TO KILL YOU. I WANT TO END YOUR LINEAGE!"

"I-I am s-sorry... but y-you can’t h-hold m- r-responsible f-for what m-my grandfather did." She tightened her hold even more, making almost breathless. She was crushing my windpipe.

"Is that so?"

"P-please..."

Just as I thought she was about to crush my windpipe, she released her hold on my neck. I started coughing heavily and greedily sucked in the air. So tears even leaked from my eyes. I heard her clicking her tongue in disgust.

"So squeamish! I don’t know why did I even expect sothing from you," comnted Aerila.

"*Cough* I-I am..."

"Why are you here?" Aerila crouched down and forced into looking her eyes. Her nails dug into my face.

"I-I am h-here to s-strike a-a deal," I stuttered.

"Deal? Tch! It seems nothing have changed. Are you here to deceive just like your grandfather? And attack after I fell in your trap," Aerila sneered in disgust.

"No! You are wrong!" I imdiately denied her accusations.

Aeria smirked, "Hmm... then let’s hear your proposition. I hope you at least have a better proposition then your grandfather. I believe your grandfather died around the ti when you were just one year old. Five years after war... five years... and the bastard died." She removed her hands from my face. Her nails were sared with my blood. She took out a tissue and wiped them in disgust. "Your filthy blood had tainted my hand! Tell your proposition before I get angry."

"I am here to have a peace talk with you." Fuck! It’s no different from what my grandfather had said.

"What?"

"I an, I want to sign a peace treaty with you. I believe you want p-peace and as t-the new g-generation... we shouldn’t allow the relationships between our ancestors to s-sour our new ties."

"What did you just say?" Aerila’s words were laced with anger. What did I do again? Why is she angrier than before?"

"I-I am r-ready for a-anything. We—"

"Are you saying that my parents were killed in vain?" she interrupted . Her words caused to shiver involuntarily.

"I ASKED YOU SOTHING! ANSWER DAMMIT!!" Aerila yelled in anger.

"N-n-no, I-I..."

"It seems that I have underestimated you. Your face is so innocent yet, your mind is so vicious. I like beautiful things. So, you had one thing in your favour, which you destroyed it with your words," Aerila smirked wickedly, "I have you now in my hands, right? I have a proposition... a better deal than yours."

"What d-deal?"

"Why don’t you co to my realm? Pay your grandfather debts and maybe I will have a ’peace talk’ with you. Don’t worry... I will not kill you," she pinched my chin, "I have sothing even better in mind."
