"I don't know. Last night, we returned with Jimmy. As soon as Adele heard you ca, she was afraid you were here to take Jimmy away. So, she took him and hid overnight. We still don't know where she's gone. We're all looking for her and the child now." Julia managed to lie without any change in her facial expression.

"You're not deceiving ?" Noah Reyes clearly didn't believe her.

He had left the Horne family villa late last night when most of the Horne family mbers were beginning to go to sleep. How could Adele Horne possibly have fled with her child overnight?

Julia didn't answer him. Instead, she turned her head and instructed Uncle Ying, "Uncle Ying, let this Mr. Noah in. Let him search the villa thoroughly, inside and out, to see if he can find Adele."

"Yes, Young Mistress," Uncle Ying replied respectfully. His attitude was a world apart from how he treated Noah Reyes.

Julia Bluen then rolled up the car window. This ti, Noah Reyes had no reason to stop her.

Adele Horne had long since left the house in Glades Horne's car. Glades Horne didn't stop the car, so Noah Reyes couldn't see him. When Noah Reyes searched the villa, he naturally couldn't find Adele, and he didn't dare to search too thoroughly. He only went in to see the old matriarch, who wouldn't speak to him. She just stared at him with her old, cow-like eyes, without even blinking. The usually sharp-eyed and formidable Noah Reyes experienced for the first ti what it felt like to be stared down.

He tried to speak to the old matriarch, but all she did was purse her lips and glare at him.

Later, Mila Anderson and her husband appeared.

Upon learning his identity, Mila Anderson's expression darkened. She instructed a servant to show him out, clearly unwilling to even speak to him.

Gian Horne almost called the police to report him for trespassing.

Ugh, how miserable.

He hadn't forced his way in; Julia Bluen, the young Horne mistress, had let him in!

Guessing that Adele Horne had indeed left earlier in Glades Horne's car, he imdiately rushed to the Valence Group.

But Glades Horne refused to see him.

With no other choice, he went to find Julia Bluen again. Julia still insisted that Adele had taken her child and left ho.

He had soone inquire at the school and was surprised to learn that Jimmy Horne indeed hadn't attended. This made him sowhat inclined to believe Julia's words.

So, he once again arranged for his subordinates to search for Adele Horne's whereabouts. anwhile, he went to the Horne family villa daily, shalessly trying to et Glades Horne, who refused to see him even once. When he sought out Julia, she said she was powerless to help, claiming that since he had sown the seeds, he naturally had to reap the harvest and find Adele himself.

For the ti being, Jimmy Horne was staying at Hansen Ruiz's house, with all information about him concealed from the outside world. At Glades Horne's request, the school also helped hide all news regarding Jimmy. Given Hansen Ruiz's influence, Noah Reyes wouldn't be able to find Jimmy's whereabouts anyti soon. anwhile, false rumors were rampant, leaving Noah Reyes and his n completely disoriented.

Of course, Hansen Ruiz could only shield Jimmy for a limited ti. With Noah Reyes's capabilities, it wouldn't even take half a month for him to break through their defenses.

anwhile, Julia Bluen had arranged for Adele Horne to go on a business trip. She had genuinely flown to another city and was not in T City.

「A week passed in the blink of an eye.」

「Valence Group.」

Julia Bluen stood before the large floor-to-ceiling window in the CEO's Office, binoculars in hand. She was watching the luxury car parked at the Valence Group's entrance. Naturally, the person seated inside was Noah Reyes.

Glades Horne sat at his desk, processing docunts.

He didn't even want to acknowledge the rival who had been waiting outside the company for a week seeking an audience.

"This man certainly has so character," Julia murmured to herself with admiration.

Glades Horne pursed his lips and continued to work on his docunts, not responding to her comnt.

"A week has passed, and he's still not giving up. Glades, this man is quite patient. It's clear he wants his family of three to reunite, not what Adele was worried about," Julia said with a light laugh.

Her sister-in-law was worrying too much. Julia felt that Noah Reyes's main target was Adele, not Jimmy Horne. Of course, get the mother, and you get the child. As long as Noah Reyes pursued Adele and married her, wouldn't his son return to his side anyway?

Just one week, and that's considered patient?

Glades Horne scoffed inwardly.

If Noah Reyes could persist for eight or ten years, then he'd believe Noah Reyes was truly patient.

KNOCK, KNOCK.

A knock ca from the door.

Glades Horne said in a deep voice, "Co in."

Hansen Ruiz and Rachel Bailey pushed the door open and entered.

Jimmy Horne staying at the Ruiz family ho was giving Rachel Bailey quite a headache. The little boy and Camila Ruiz did not get along; they were either arguing or fighting all day long. Sotis, in a fit of rage, Camila would throw Jimmy's belongings out, telling him to "get lost and go back to the Horne family."

Rachel even felt she was letting down her good friend, as her own daughter was so ill-mannered.

But what troubled her most was still Jimmy Horne.

Whenever Camila Ruiz threw Jimmy's belongings out, he would run into her room, flop down on her small bed, and declare that he wasn't leaving. He insisted he wanted to live in the Ruiz residence and would even take over Camila's bed.

In short, the two little ones were like sworn enemies.

"Julia, what are you looking at?" Rachel asked, relaxing a bit when she saw Julia was also there as she entered.

If Julia weren't there, and Hansen Ruiz and Glades Horne were busy discussing their "n's affairs," she would feel quite bored.

"Checking out handso guys," Julia joked in response.

Glades Horne imdiately turned his head and shot her a dangerous glare.

Hansen Ruiz jokingly stepped forward and pulled Rachel to his side, saying teasingly, "Hey, don't lead my Rachel astray too."

"Oh, get lost," Rachel said, playfully pinching his arm.

Glades Horne closed the file, walked to the window, and pulled Julia back to sit on the sofa. "What's so interesting to look at?" he said indifferently.

Hansen Ruiz also pulled Rachel to sit on the sofa opposite them. The two couples now faced each other.

Little Yang soon brought a cup of coffee for each of them.

The four of them leisurely sipped their coffee, a stark contrast to Noah Reyes outside. He was keeping watch, hoping to et Glades Horne, but was unable to get an audience.

Noah Reyes had driven over himself. He was worried that his n wouldn't be able to bear seeing him endure Glades Horne's dismissive attitude and might act out against Glades, thereby ruining his plan to win Adele over and adding further obstacles to this pursuit.

At that mont, he sat in his car, his large hands tightening and re-tightening on the steering wheel. He repeatedly tried calling, but each attempt was blocked by the CEO's secretary.

If he got out of the car and went inside, he could only reach the first floor of the Office Building before being stopped at the reception desk.

Glades Horne!

You play hardball, don't you!

Inwardly, Noah Reyes was seething with rage at his future brother-in-law, grinding his teeth.

His n had spent a week searching but still hadn't found Adele Horne. He knew Glades Horne was behind it. If he couldn't break through Glades Horne's defenses, he would never be able to see Adele Horne, let alone his son.
