Glades Horne took her phone, glanced at the ssage, and his face turned even darker than Julia Bluen's, his eyes becoming icy in an instant, emitting a cold, murderous aura. It had been a long ti since Julia had seen that look in his eyes.

Looking up, he turned his gaze to Julia, and she looked back at him.

The couple's eyes t, Julia's clear and pure, while Glades's were unfathomable, leaving even Julia, who was usually so in sync with him, unable to guess what he was thinking at that mont.

"Do you have any suspects?" Glades finally asked in a deep voice after a long pause.

"I suspect Nicholas Coldwell."

Julia voiced her suspicions.

Nicholas Coldwell?

Glades frowned slightly.

"You don't think it's him?"

As he furrowed his brow, Julia pressed for an answer.

"Do you believe the authenticity of this ssage? Could you suspect that I'm having an affair?" Julia asked the question nervously.

Even the best of couples, once confronted with such overtly flirtatious ssages, might begin to suspect one another. Once suspicion is sown between spouses, their mutual trust is shaken. If it's not redirected onto the right path, if misunderstandings are not cleared up, even the strongest of marriages can end in separation.

Her marriage to Glades had been very happy. She knew she was the envy and the object of jealousy of every woman in T City. Many won, even knowing Glades was married to her, still tried to get close to him, hoping to form an emotional connection or even to break them apart and take her place as the lady of the Horne Family.

That position was like the queen's seat in an ancient palace; once seated, one could enjoy endless riches and honor.

At Jas Horne's wine party, Lily Garcia shalessly demanded that she not keep Glades all to herself but share him with them.

Hearing this, Glades pulled her into his arms, his tone softening as he said reassuringly, "Silly girl, I'm not an idiot. I won't doubt my beloved wife over so ambiguous, groundless ssages. In this world, the woman I trust the most is you." Besides, he had always had people protecting her in the shadows. Whatever people she t, whatever she did, he could find out with just a check. If she really were to have an affair, he believed the bodyguards, who were still operating covertly back then, would also actively inform him.

So, he wouldn't question the truth of the ssage, nor would he doubt her faithfulness. He considered himself a good husband, giving her the best of both emotional and material support. If a woman were to betray such a husband, she would be the most foolish woman in the world. His Julia was always smart and would not commit such an act of folly, especially since her love for him had grown as deep as his for her.

How could two people so deeply in love betray one another?

He absolutely, completely trusted her!

After reheating the al, Glades first released her and went back into the kitchen to bring out the dishes one by one, then thoughtfully served her a bowl of fish head and tofu soup; it was said that if pregnant won drank this soup, their babies would be smart and have fair skin.

"Julia, co, eat first, don't starve yourself," he said gently as he placed the soup before Julia, then took a seat next to her. anwhile, her phone was still with him.

Julia looked at him. Seeing the familiar look of tenderness and trust returning to his eyes, her mood improved, and she nodded before picking up the spoon and starting to drink the soup.

Glades also served himself a bowl of soup, sipping it quietly.

DING—

A new ssage arrived.

Julia reflexively looked up at Glades.

Glades didn't imdiately check the ssage, instead continuing to speak gently, "Don't worry about it, eat first."

Once they had finished eating, he would have soone investigate the number to determine who it belonged to and its region of origin. He was certain that the person behind this was deliberately harassing Julia, trying to destroy the trust and affection between them. If it was Nicholas, he would ensure he was prosecuted, using every ans possible to put Nicholas in jail. Of course, he fantasized about drawing Nicholas's blood, skinning him alive, and pulling out his tendons, ensuring Nicholas could never bother Julia again. But he also hadn't forgotten what Julia had said: she didn't want him doing anything involving murder, arson, or harming others. He had her and the baby. If he committed a cri, regardless of his status, his connections, or his wealth, he would still face legal consequences.

However, Glades didn't believe the person sending these ssages was Nicholas. When Nicholas had left, he'd co to see Julia. Glades had noticed then that Nicholas had let go of his lingering feelings for Julia and had genuinely wished her well upon his departure. Besides, Nicholas had already experienced Glades's thods; how could he dare to provoke him again now?

If it wasn't Nicholas, he was very eager to find out who it was.

Julia was a low-key person. Even after marrying into the Horne family and taking over the company that was now hers, and although she no longer maintained as low a profile in her dealings as she once had, not many people knew her phone number, especially n.

This person knew Julia's phone number; they must be soone familiar with her.

As for the ssage's tone, feigning an old acquaintance, he didn't believe it for a second.

Julia said nothing, quietly continuing her soup.

She, too, was wracking her brain, trying to recall if she had ever been alone anywhere with any man other than Glades, but she truly couldn't think of a single instance.

Since there was no such incident, she could only conclude this was deliberate sabotage. But who could be behind it? Who was audacious enough not to fear Glades unmasking them and grinding them to dust?

The couple silently finished their al, then together cleaned up the dishes.

After washing up, the two of them returned to the living room.

In the living room were big bags of snacks, fruit, and flowers that Glades had brought back.

Sitting on the couch, Julia had no interest in those things for the ti being, just stared intently at Glades.

Glades then returned the phone to her, and she imdiately looked at the newly received ssage, which read differently: "Julia, I love you. Divorce that demon, Glades Horne, and marry !"
