The first ti he got drunk was on the day Glades Horne and Julia Bluen got married. He was overco with sadness, so while he was helping to greet guests, he kept drinking and eventually got drunk.

This ti, he passed out because of those two people again—because Julia was pregnant. His heart was happy for his brother but also sad for himself, so once more, he got drunk for their sake.

The night grew deeper, and after midnight, the number of people in the pub gradually decreased. Halton Hillraise saw Jas Horne slumped over the table and hurriedly walked over.

"'Fourth Young Master, Fourth Young Master, it's very late. You should go ho. Why are you so drunk? I need to find soone to take you ho; you can't drive in this state,' Halton Hillraise muttered, already looking for his own n to send Jas ho.

"Julia... Julia... I... want her... want her..."

Jas suddenly clutched at Halton Hillraise's hand in a drunken haze, not even opening his eyes, just muttering intoxicatedly. He was mumbling along with the deepest emotions of his heart, clueless about what he was actually saying.

Julia? The woman you love but can't have? That na seems a bit familiar, Halton Hillraise mused, prompted by Jas's words. However, Jas offered nothing more, just kept muttering that one line.

Halton Hillraise propped him up and called over two of his bodyguards, directing them to take Jas ho. But Jas was going wild with drunken frenzy, refusing the assistance of the two bodyguards, and even roaring at him, "Julia... I only want Julia..." His roar was filled with imnse pain, making Halton Hillraise's heart ache.

"Okay, you want Julia, I'll call her for you, have her co to pick you up." Halton Hillraise stepped forward to prop up Jas again, found Jas's phone on him, and upon flipping through the contacts, saw Julia's number was the first listed, so he imdiately called it.

It was past midnight. At this ti, Julia Bluen was already sound asleep in Glades Horne's embrace. Glades's large hand, imbued with protectiveness, tightly guarded her belly. Even in his sleep, his protective hand never loosened.

"Pleasant Goat..." The ringtone from "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" suddenly disturbed the warmth-filled large room, waking Julia who was in deep sleep.

She gently moved Glades's hand away from her belly, intending to sit up and grab the phone that was on the bedside table, but a large hand was quicker than hers, picked up the phone, and passed it to her.

"Did I wake you?" Julia asked apologetically as she took the phone from Glades.

She didn't know who could be calling her at this hour. Anyone calling now must have sothing urgent, she thought.

Seeing it was an unfamiliar number, she didn't rember Jas's mobile number. Even if Jas had called her before, she hadn't paid attention, much less cared about it.

She pressed the answer button, and a male voice she didn't recognize ca through, "May I ask if this is Julia?"

Julia sat up, replying, "I am Julia. Who is this, and why are you calling at this late hour? Is there sothing wrong?"

"This is from the Blue Moon Pub. You know Jas Horne, right? He's gotten drunk here, keeps shouting your na and won't let my people take him ho. If it's not too much trouble for you, please co pick him up. Our pub will be closing soon."

"Jas got drunk? Okay, I understand." Hearing her brother-in-law was drunk at the Blue Moon Pub, Julia Bluen found it a bit strange. Why would he be calling my na? she wondered, but she couldn't ask more at that mont, fearing Glades Horne might misunderstand.

After she hung up the phone, she turned her head and was t with Glades Horne's inscrutable gaze.

Glades hadn't heard what Halton Hillraise said, but he had heard Julia's words.

It's Jas's business if he gets drunk, Glades thought. So why did the pub call my wife? Could it be that Jas, in his drunken state…

The more Glades thought about it, the darker his expression beca.

Was his brother going to break through that thin layer of pretense with Julia?

"Glades, you look terrible," Julia said carefully, already slipping out of bed to change clothes.

A strong hand reached out for the nth ti, dominantly pulling her back onto the bed. He turned, gathering her into his embrace. His handso face was gloomy, his eyes deep and cold as he stared at her with displeasure. "Are you very concerned about Jas?" he asked in a low, rough voice.

"Jas got drunk at the Blue Moon Pub, and they called us to pick him up. He's your brother, which makes him my brother too. There's nothing wrong with being concerned, is there?" Julia patted Glades Horne's handso face and smiled sheepishly. "Co on, stop being jealous over nothing. Let's get up and go get him together." It's too late for to go to the pub alone to pick up my brother-in-law, she thought. Especially since I'm his sister-in-law now.

"Why should my wife go pick him up when he's drunk?" Glades Horne murmured, a flash of anger quickly passing through the depths of his eyes, his grip on Julia tightening. If it weren't for fear that the astute Julia would pick up on the turmoil in his heart, he would have exploded in anger by now.

"Probably the people at the pub saw his phone and just happened to co across my number," she guessed.

"There are plenty of people at the pub. And isn't one of the managers at the Blue Moon Pub sowhat friendly with Jas? Why didn't they just send him ho?" Glades was very displeased that the pub staff had called Julia.

In vino veritas. Julia couldn't figure out why the pub had called her, but Glades could. It must be because Jas was drunkenly calling out Julia's na, he guessed.

For him, and for the entire Horne Family, this was sothing that could not be publicized. That's why he wouldn't arrange for bodyguards to pick up Jas, nor would he let Julia go.

"I don't know." Julia didn't tell him that Jas had been calling her na.

She was no fool. Jas is acting strangely towards , she felt.

Yet, her attitude towards Jas was entirely that of a sister-in-law to a brother-in-law.

Glades pressed his lips together and didn't say anything more, nor did he loosen his hold, refusing to let Julia get up.

Julia knew he was displeased and jealous. Indeed, she thought, any man would be unhappy if his wife got a call in the middle of the night to go to a pub and pick up another man, even if it was his own brother.
