"Did big brother confess his love to my senior?"
Lena, who was eating fruit after dinner, froze when she heard her big brother tell her this. She stopped picking fruit and looked wide-eyed at Ivan.
Ivan saw her reaction and playfully flicked her forehead, saying, "What, are you unhappy? Isn't this what you wanted?"
Despite being flicked, Lena wasn't angry. She grabbed her brother's arm and said seriously, "Big brother, are you serious? You can't just toy with my senior, she's pitiful enough already."
"I hoped you and my senior would get together, but this is too fast, so fast that I can't believe it." Lena noticed that only the two siblings were in the room, as their aunt and uncle had already gone for a walk, and their parents weren't there because she had co over to have lunch with Ivan.
As soon as she finished speaking, her forehead got flicked again.
Ivan deliberately put on a stern face, "Do you think your brother is joking?"
"But... Grace has had a crush on you for so many years, and you've always treated her differently, but I've never seen you interested." Lena felt that her matchmaking was mostly successful, yet she was still surprised when she heard her big brother had confessed.
Hmm, after all, it was too fast.
"Which eye did you see that I treated Grace differently? You better not tell your senior that, she might doubt my sincerity." Ivan seed a little nervous, afraid his sister might tell Lia about Grace.
He had absolutely no romantic feelings for Grace but was worried that Lia might misunderstand.
"Hehe." A bell-like laugh sounded in the hall.
Lena laughed proudly, "Big brother, you've finally fallen for soone."
She had been worried that her big brother might play with Sister Lia, but now she wasn't worried because he truly seed to care about Sister Lia.
Ivan affectionately pinched her cute nose and said indulgently, "Now you're satisfied, aren't you? Your big brother fell for your matchmaking."
"Satisfied. When big brother marries my Sister Lia, I'll be even more satisfied."
After speaking, Lena imdiately reined in her smile, tilted her head, and cautiously asked Ivan, "Big brother, what do you want to do?" She was still a teenage girl, and her big brother was telling her about his love affairs; even though she had played matchmaker, Lena thought her big brother wanted her to do sothing.
Ivan looked at her with a half-smile and said, "I confessed quite straightforwardly, but your Sister Lia hasn't agreed yet. Haven't you, the matchmaker, completed your mission?"
"Big brother, I only matchmade. I don't help you chase your love." Lena said in a low voice, "Besides, wouldn't big brother fail to win Sister Lia over? With your advantages, big brother, I estimate in less than a month, I can call Sister Lia my sister-in-law."
Ivan eyed his sister without speaking, maintaining that half-smiling expression.
"Big brother, why don't you just tell what I should do? Should I help you create a hero-saving-beauty opportunity? Brother Jimmy would definitely be willing to lend a hand."
Ivan gave her a light knock on the head. Lena rubbed the knocked area, pouting, "Big brother's bullying because I don't have an elder sister-in-law to back up yet. Once I do, I'll have her help get justice."
"When's your sumr break?"
"Aren't I ho already?"
"Hmm, plenty of ti then. In the next few days, just spend ti with your Sister Lia and help her get familiar with T City. That's all."
Lena was incredulous, "Big brother, it's that simple? You really don't need to do anything?" She thought he was too busy to court, so he needed her help.
Ivan's eyes twinkled with amusent, "Your big brother hasn't sunk to the point where he needs his sister to help him chase a wife."
She pouted, muttering, "With my enthusiastic nature and since Sister Lia is soone I like, I'll definitely help create more opportunities for big brother and Sister Lia to be alone."
She understood now that her big brother claid he didn't need her help, but she was keen on promoting her brother, so how could she do nothing? Her brother understood her too well, which was why he said that.

"Young master, soone delivered a package for you."
While the siblings were enjoying their conversation, a servant ca in with a package and handed it to Ivan.
Ivan accepted the large envelope, tore open the seal, reached inside, and took out another envelope. He then opened this envelope, finding a slightly yellowed paper and a small stack of photos.
Instinctively, he first looked at the photos.
The more he looked, the darker his expression beca.
"Big brother, whose photos are those?" Lena asked with concern, seeing her brother's grim expression.
She leaned in to look, but Ivan wouldn't let her, "These photos are really inappropriate, Lena, you shouldn't see them."
Inappropriate photos?
Lena frowned, boldly guessing, "Big brother, the person in the photos isn't my Sister Lia, right?"
Ivan pursed his lips and shook his head.
The woman in the photos resembled Lia but wasn't her; the temperant was different. Lia had an artist's vibe, while the woman in the photos was alluring. Even though they looked similar, Ivan could easily distinguish them.
Besides, the photos were obviously old. If his guess was correct, the woman in the pictures was likely Lia's mother.
He put the photos back in the envelope, thinking they were too inappropriate for his sister to see.
The yellowed paper turned out to be a DNA parentage test.
It involved Tom Aiken and Lia Aiken, and the result stated that Lia was not Tom Aiken's biological daughter but had a blood relation. Tom Aiken was either Lia's uncle or great-uncle.
Ivan furrowed his brow.
He turned over the envelope. It was sent from a certain province and city, but there was no detailed address, and the sender only left a surna, with no contact number.
It was aid at Lia.
But sending it to him, what did that an?
Ivan furrowed his brows tightly. Did the sender know about his feelings for Lia and wanted him to learn of her distressing background so he would disdain her?
This implied the person didn't want Lia and him to be together.
Putting everything back in the envelope, Ivan stood up and told his sister, "Lena, don't tell your Sister Lia about this incident."
"Okay." Although Lena had no idea what the issue was, she would keep it a secret since her brother asked.
"Big brother is off to work."
Ivan patted his sister's head. Lena disapproved of being petted like a puppy and pushed his hand away. He chuckled, then walked out with the envelope.
In the car, Ivan instructed the driver in a deep tone, "Go to Black Emperor Group."
He was going to find out who's behind this!
The driver respectfully agreed and quickly started the engine, driving off.
