While the whole world reacted to recent events and others made plans against him, Matthew grabbed a dark cloak, hung a sword from his waist, put on large leather boots and ordinary clothes, and set out on a long journey on foot.

Since arriving in this world, he had rarely been able to enjoy adventure, so this ti he wanted to enjoy it thoroughly. Besides, he couldn’t fly or travel in carriages or anything like that right now, because he would be discovered, so he took advantage of this as the perfect excuse to venture out.

He had several plans for the journey, with one ultimate goal. The ultimate goal was no mystery; he wanted to strengthen his body, and although there were many ways to do so while in his own territory, he knew they weren’t the best options.

He needed to learn the Path of the Destroyer, and there were no better practitioners of that way than dragons.

So his final destination was the Dragon Territory, located near the great frozen mountains that form its Frozen Infinity.

Although he took a short route, the distance between the Dark Kingdom and the Dragon Territory is too great, and there are independent territories along the way.

’Now that I think about it, the territory of the last of the Independent Clans is on the way,’ he thought, as he looked out from the top of a hill with so items he had purchased for the adventure.

He had prepared well and carried several realistic masks to wear if necessary to conceal his identity.

After confirming the route on a map, he continued on to one of the independent cities, far from the Dark Kingdom and the Kingdom of Richter.

The White Edge City.

Peculiarly known for its warm climate, despite being close to the coldest mountain ranges in the world.

Although the dragons’ territory was located in an extrely cold climate, he couldn’t leave the mountain range that ford his Frozen Infinity because he would surely freeze to death. The cold emanating from his Frozen Infinity was no joke, although his weakened body managed to withstand it when he arrived here, perhaps due to the effects of having been frozen there for so long.

That’s why he needed to skirt a large part of those mountains, and there’s nothing better than looking for the White Edge City Route, a route that is widely used and respected for its importance in connecting various territories.

His journey took only two days, and when he arrived, he was greeted by a fairly large dieval city, with red decorations illuminating every corner of the pavilions and beautiful houses.

’New Year’s decorations?’ he thought, puzzled.

Suddenly, he rembered what ti of year it was. Indeed, it was the last days of December.

Since arriving in this world, the seasons had beco very distant to him, even though, technically, everyone else rembered them. Even Alice had ntioned it to him on occasion, though he couldn’t rember when, but they still felt unreal to him.

His life on Earth had really affected him in this regard. The days of joy and tranquility on Earth, even in the face of situations such as the arrival of the portals and the first Elental Emperor, had not overshadowed the happiness of a civilian population that sought to be just that.

Although for him, Decembers on Earth were never good. His parents died in December, and in the last December of his life on Earth, his wife was murdered in his arms, and his enemies impaled him, forrly people he called friends.

’I haven’t forgotten you yet,’ he thought, as mories of the faces of his old friends, now enemies, flashed through his mind.

He once swore to kill them; even if he had to wait for them in hell, one day he would, even if it took him a long ti.

At least now he had a clue.

That galaxy of emperors was the best clue. He just needed to go and ask them for the location of that Earth. Now... he had his doubts about where that system ca from.

But now was not the ti to think about such things; he would leave it for later.

The White Edge City welcod him with joy, even though no one knew him. With cheers, even though no one knew he was here.

As he entered, they were celebrating, and it made his skin tingle. They looked pretty happy.

The long road that opened up the city stretched to the city center, where the governnt buildings were located. The city’s model of governnt was one in which there was a Round Table, where 12 rchants, 12 Clans, and 13 people elected by the population sat to vote on the upcoming policies of the city and its affiliated towns (of which there are 12, each with a leader who sits at the Round Table).

The Clans function as protectors of the city and manage the local mines and almost everything related to raw materials. At the sa ti, the rchants have a variety of companies and businesses associated with the city, the Clans, and the 12 affiliated towns.

It is a model of governnt that they have maintained for over 1 million years, making them one of the longest-lived populations among the independent territories.

They are considered a great ally of the nearby Independent Clan and often do business with the Dark Kingdom and the Richter Kingdom, which is why they are quite wealthy.

After walking around the city and admiring its attractions, Matthew entered the hotel zone and stayed at a nearby hotel.

"Are you here for tourism, sir?" The man at the reception desk noticed he was talking to a traveler and wondered whether he was here for tourism or sothing else.

"I’m traveling the world in search of opportunities to fight strong people, sir. My elders told that the best way to strengthen the body is to try the different fighting styles of those forgotten by the world," Matthew replied, in a voice that was clearly not his own.

"Wow, I didn’t expect you to be so young." The man was surprised, but smiled. "That being the case, you’ve made the best decision. The way those young and old people from the kingdoms fight, while effective, doesn’t usually work very well for strengthening the body."

"Really?" Matthew smiled, agreeing with him. "What do you think about it, since you know more about the world than I do?"

"Haha, I think it’s because they’ve forgotten that techniques are also important. That’s why most of them rely solely on power to fight; they forget about the body. And the best way to strengthen your body is to understand it. So there’s nothing better than martial arts to do that."
