Matthew was more surprised by sothing else, though. "Didn't you tell you had nothing to do with the underworld? You know a lot more than I expected and even have a history there." He said, looking at Ava.
She sighed. "My family moved away from those ways after my grandfather died. The underworld is the best place for us, but we don't care. Charanne's last wish is very famous in the underworld. That last wish was addressed to us: ascend through the royal gates and reach the great nobles; only then will your life be peaceful."
Matthew nodded. "It is a good last wish with a double aning. So may think it refers to ascending from the underworld and reaching the domain of the great nobles or assassinating them, but what it really ans is to get away from the life below and cross the real gates of the world to live peacefully. I suppose his life was full of dangers and misfortunes; he had to have seen many people die for that to be his last wish."
"Yes, he saw many of our family mbers die because of his own decisions. The fact that the family has fallen is due to that as well. I didn't expect to et a person who is almost family in this place." Ava looked at Ead Richson.
Rachel and Charanne's relationship back then was strange, but according to her father, they were a real couple. Even though they couldn't have children, where does Ead Richson co from, then?
'It's possible he's half human, or she just had it before eting my grandfather. I don't think it was treason.' She thought.
Ead Richson didn't seem too convinced with the situation, but he couldn't do anything this ti either. One of his most powerful weapons had been disabled, and he didn't even know why.
Still, he took advantage of the mont when Matthew and Ava were talking to co up with a plan. In the end, he had no choice but to think of activating his most powerful weapon.
So he suddenly jumped back and raised his frozen hand. "SHOOT MY HAND, NOW!" the shout echoed in places, and although the subordinates did not understand the motives, they knew where to shoot.
They imdiately took aim at other locations, taking advantage of Matthew's gone ice to fire their weapons.
The compressed magic that acted as bullets flew rapidly toward Ead's hand, causing Matthew to frown.
'He's cunning.' He thought and lunged forward at high speed.
His onslaught created a huge smokescreen, as all the attacks exploded into nothingness. An explosion then occurred on the other side of the room.
Ead's head was pinned firmly to the wall before Matthew's hand. At the sa ti, Matthew jumped to the side with Ead in his hand and swung his free hand sharply, creating a flare of powerful fire, which lashed out fiercely at the continuing shooters.
At the sa ti, he pushed the magic he had just cast with his own vampiric power, causing the magic to have great montum and power and crushing everyone in an instant.
Then, with a snap of his fingers, Matthew vanished the dust that had been kicked up and returned to the ground.
In every corner of this place, flas burned over wasted bodies in bloody puddles. Still, the weapons were unaffected. They were made of an all-resistant mineral, and Matthew did not attack them directly, as he was interested in them.
Falling to the ground, he tossed Ead Richson's body and stared at it.
"Sotis thinking you are superior will help you in making negotiations better for yourself, but there are tis when you must understand that you cannot be arrogant. You are not superior to everyone. I am interested in the way you operate, and that is why I ca here, not because you are worthy of confronting ; you are simply worthy of hiding and running away from , do you understand?" Matthew smiled and sat back down.
"You are worthy as a rat; you can run away and hide from my hand, but if I find you, you are nothing but a small fry with so interesting tricks. The sa goes for many of these organizations, but to confront them without causing chaos, I can't do this. You I've vetted well because you're in my territory, but the rest I'll have a bit of a hard ti with. Even more so because they are with the race traitors and you are not. I guess it's your good deeds of not betraying the race that has made it so we can see each other now; don't you find that curious?"
Ead looked up, not getting up from where he was. He felt sore all over his body and knew he had nothing left to do. "What do you want? If you're going to take as a slave, why do you have to talk such nonsense?"
"Hahaha..." Matthew started laughing. "No, I don't plan on taking you as a slave. I don't like puppets; they're annoying. But I won't set you free either." He stood up and walked over to him again to touch his head.

After saying this, Matthew moved one of the small orbs of blood inside him, allowing it to co out. He subsequently shoved it through Ead's head, causing the new blood to soak into the entire body. At the sa ti, he activated his 'The Vampire', trying to create an existence differently.
