He couldn't understand where those chains ca from, but he was sure it couldn't be a curse. Still, if it wasn't, how would he explain that situation? An ability wasn't supposed to be either, and if soone nearby activated those chains, wouldn't they have felt him?
Although if it was as powerful as what Alessa showed, it could naturally escape the perception of everyone there, but if that was the case, why did it act in the end?
He tried to think of a motive but couldn't. Those chains were strange, to say the least. They ca out of the ground and disappeared into the earth as if they had never existed. Also, they didn't seem to have any aura, and even Alessa's power couldn't affect them.
Whatever happened, Matthew was sure that the power shown by Alessa at that ti was far greater than the power shown by Gray before, which made sense. The spirit race did not have a decline as the vampire race did. The power level of the inhabitants of the Spirit World is likely many steps above the power level in the Vampire World.
And that is where the problem cos in. A power that was or is in the Vampire World could seal the full power of Alessa, acclaid Progenitor of a Race, and send her back to her world without the possibility of anyone being able to object.
If the power turned out to belong to a person, Matthew would have to worry because that would an he had been walking in soone's hand, which he finds annoying and hard to believe.
If it wasn't a person... Explore more at empire
Matthew frowned, and a thought occurred to him.
He looked at Alessa, who was smiling and squeezing him a little. He smiled and patted her head. "It's fine, as long as you can use your power. You are necessary to this world, so try not to do dangerous things like you did a mont ago."
Then he looked up at i. "I'll go back to my body. I'll leave you in charge of Alessa. I have so things to investigate."
After saying a quick goodbye, he returned to his world without giving them much ti to do.
He stood up and looked at Alice. She was standing, looking at Isla, who was touching the ground at the spot where Alessa had disappeared. When they both saw him return, they perked up.
"Matt, is Alessa okay? I can sense she's disturbed but not responding to ." Alice rushed over to ask; she looked worried.
"She's fine. She was in shock because her power had been sealed for a mont, but she's all right now." He spoke. As he spoke, he didn't take his gaze away from Isla.
Although she smiled at him as a greeting, she pensively looked at the ground.
"Is sothing wrong? Were you able to find out, or did mories of sothing co back to you?" he asked.
Isla shook her head. "Honestly, no mories of anything ca back to , but... It's a little strange. Those red chains give a sense of familiarity that I don't understand. Could those chains be from the sa world?"
Matthew frowned at that possibility.
"You an because they feel familiar to vampires, right? Do you an the world has a defense chanism to protect itself from powerful people? Is it a seal?"
Isla looked up to see him. She was amazed by his theory, and her eyes widened like saucers. "I hadn't thought of it that way. I just thought that because this world has always been friendly to vampires, it might have a chanism to prevent any other race from being able to kill them. But if I think about it, your theory makes more sense."
If they both thought about it correctly, various races in this world freely killed vampires left and right, but they had never seen or heard of anything like this. This was a special occasion, sothing different.
It only appeared at a ti when a power as trendous as Alessa's touched this world. Leaving aside how powerful she is, the fact that she was sealed and sent back to her world showed that sothing was interfering.
The greatest likelihood is that it was an outsider, but they cannot deny that it could be the world itself.
Matthew sighed after thinking for several minutes and shook his head. "Forget it. We don't have enough information for now, but it shouldn't be problematic if it doesn't do anything to us. I will look into it from now on, but I can tell you that we should get as strong as we can. We cannot deny the possibility that it was done by a powerful person who is watching us right now.
So, we must strive together, using all the cards we have to strengthen ourselves."
Isla and Alice looked at him for a mont, smiling soon after, though both blushed as they did so, as they rembered a particular way of coming on strong they had. 'Hehe...' They smiled inwardly, but Matt was too preoccupied with other things to notice.
He pulled out a vampire ball and asked them both to test themselves. He needed to know their power so he could devise a better way to increase it.
The first to test was Alice.
-Vampiric Power: 53,520.
"Wow, that's amazing, Alice. How many did you kill?" asked Isla, approaching the vampiric ball to see the amount. She almost thought she had seen it wrong.
She rembered Alice killing a lot of people, but she hadn't expected her power to have climbed over 10,000 in so few days.
However, Alice sohow felt disappointed to see this. "I thought it was more... Sigh, maybe it's too much to ask to strengthen more than that." She smiled a little as she said this.
She never thought she would be disappointed to advance so much power in less than 15 days, but now, that mont had co to her.
"Sigh, if I could say the sa..." Isla sighed.
Matthew smiled rather proudly at the sight of it. First, his two beautiful girls were getting along. Second, they strengthened imnsely, though Isla seed to underestimate herself.
Even Alice noticed.
For God's sake, she just discovered she was immortal; what's better than that? Even if Alice reached 100,000 power in 1 day, she would still feel that it's not shocking enough as Isla's immortality.
Isla didn't notice their looks, so she grabbed the vampire ball and imdiately tested her power.
Suddenly, a shocking number appeared in front of the three of them.
