Turning to the location of the arrow, Desmond noticed Kathryn’s brother, his expression gloomy. Since the start of their battle, the young man had been interfering; whenever Desmond almost gained an advantage over Kathryn, the young man would send an attack to disrupt him.
He was extrely furious by this. He had wanted to kill him a few tis, but with Kathryn here, that wasn’t possible. Calming his mind, he turned to look at Kathryn. At this mont, his expression beca calm. It seems I’ll have to use that forbidden ability! Desmond thought with a frown.
After coming to this decision, he imdiately muttered in his heart, "Soul Devouring Secret Technique!" Imdiately, the skies turned pitch black, the chirping of birds stopped, and everything seed to return to silence. Kranos couldn’t hear anything anymore, and for a mont, he thought he had lost his sense of hearing.
Bang!
The next instant, a terrifying bang resounded, and slowly, glowing runes began to surface midair. Noticing this, Kathryn’s expression changed drastically in horror. How does he have that ability? She didn’t expect Desmond to be able to use this technique; if she had, she would have been extra careful. She knew better than anyone the terrifying nature of the Soul Devouring Technique!
Without wasting ti, her verdant immortal vein revolved slightly. Just as the pitch-black sky was slowly devouring her, she emitted a white light... her figure beca blinding in an instant, causing Kranos to squint his eyes slightly. Then she slamd her palm forward, her expression quickly turned pale, and she coughed out a mouthful of blood.
anwhile, as soon as she thrust her palm forward, space collapsed. A small void rift erged from the collapsed space and ti. The next instant, the attack was devoured. With his soul elent, as though he had seen sothing heavenly horrifying and impossible, Desmond scread at the top of his lungs, his eyes bulging as wide as possible.
"You... you are an anomaly!!!" Desmond sounded terrified as he looked at Kathryn. An anomaly? He had only read the records of such beings in the book of the heavenly dao the master of the library had given him, and he knew how horrifying such people were. If he had known her identity, he wouldn’t have even dared to battle her.
At this, Desmond imdiately knew that he was dead. His expression turned solemn as he decided to fight for a chance of survival.
Seeing that her identity as an anomaly had been discovered by Desmond, Kathryn sighed, It seems I can no longer hide it... Giving Desmond no chance to react, she waved her hand. Imdiately, the void collapsed once again. This ti, an even greater suction force erged from the void.
Desmond’s expression turned pale. He quickly tried to use his shadow and soul elent to escape the ordeal; however, it was to no avail as his soul and body were rapidly enveloped by the chaotic void and destroyed!
A few ters away, Kranos was horrified by the sight of the battle. Fortunately, he was far away. It seed Kathryn didn’t realize that Kranos had overheard their words. She glanced around and noticed that there was no one in sight. At this, she sighed in relief, then the mysteriously profound aura retreated back into her body.
After calming her thoughts, she spoke loudly, "Brother, you can co out now, the battle is over. It seems he wasn’t as strong as we thought."
At her words, a few ters away from her, a young man leaped off from a tree. The young man was similarly an elf with golden eyes. A large bow hung behind him, and a quiver of arrows was on his back as well. The young man had similarly pale skin like Kathryn, but he was extrely handso, and his dark hair flowed freely in the wind.
"You won again, sister," the young man responded with a smile.
Kathryn smiled in return, "Were you underestimating your sister?" After the slight tease, she then changed her tone and asked, "How’s the young man? Have you seen him?"
"No, but he should probably be completing his battle if he hasn’t already done so."
Kathryn nodded at her words, "Let’s head in that direction. We should see him on the way."
Listening in on their conversation, Kranos’s thoughts moved rapidly. He wanted to run away to another city; however, he still recalled what Rose had said about being tracked. He still didn’t know what ans they used to track him. Seeing the elf princess, Kranos felt that she must be of so help.
However, he was slightly hesitant when he recalled Desmond calling her an anomaly! He didn’t know what an anomaly ant, but from Desmond’s tone and expression back then, he could tell that it was sothing extrely horrifying.
After analyzing things thoroughly, Kranos ultimately decided to go with Kathryn. If she couldn’t help in the end, he would just silently slip away while they were unaware, as long as she doesn’t know that I know of her identity as an anomaly. At this, Kranos’s thoughts flashed rapidly as he approached them at breakneck speed.
In the blink of an eye, he had reached where Kathryn and the young prince were. Upon reaching them, he cupped his fist and stared at them calmly, "Thank you for helping ." He knew that if it wasn’t for the Royal siblings, then escaping from the whole ordeal would undoubtedly be very difficult.
"There’s no need to worry about it. We were just passing by and happened to co across you," Kathryn replied with a smile. As she stared at Kranos, she could see his face was slightly pale; however, he still exuded the calm and refined aura she knew.
After studying him for a while, she spoke up, "Young man, actually, the reason we helped you is because we require your help."
Here it cos! Kranos muttered inwardly; however, his expression remained unchanged. "Feel free to speak."
"We want to head to an ancient ruin, and we need soone with the space elent to retrieve a treasure there." Kathryn noticed Kranos’s expression as she spoke.
An ancient ruin? Kranos was stunned. He knew what ruins were. They were places where ancient cultivators had left their legacy. At these words, one could imagine how terrifying the place must have been. Kranos imdiately shook his head. As soone that valued his life, he couldn’t take such a risk.
However, Kathryn’s smile widened as she said sothing irresistible. "I can sense that your soul is injured. I can give you a treasure that will heal it."
