The night passed uneventfully after the whole ordeal. At this mont, Kranos’s expression was solemn; he could still recall the assassination attempt from the previous night. Without further delay, he rushed to the antique shop.

Since he already knew the location of the antique shop, he no longer needed Leroy. Back at ho, he had just left about a thousand mana stones and a note of his departure for Leroy. Upon reaching the familiar building decorated by treasures, Kranos didn’t waste any ti admiring its beauty and imdiately stepped inside.

However, just as he was about to enter, a figure bumped into him like the previous ti. Kranos was stunned and quickly turned to see that it was the lady from before. He glanced at her with a frown; from her previous behavior, he had already guessed that she was up to no good.

Now seeing her bump into him a second ti, he imdiately felt that sothing was wrong. He glanced at her coldly for a mont. However, this ti, since he was in a haste, he didn’t give her the chance to respond before rushing into the shop.

Although the lady looked stunned, she bit her lip and didn’t follow him. However, Kranos didn’t notice the cunning glint in her eyes as soon as he walked past her.

After walking a few feet, like before, the assistant t up with Kranos and invited him to Gravel’s office. Though he was slightly surprised that Kranos, who had purchased a few materials the previous day, was back again, he didn’t think too much about it.

Soon, they reached the familiar office. This ti, Gravel wasn’t studying a piece of jewelry, but was reading a book. Sensing soone step into his office, he put his book down and glanced at them. He imdiately noticed Kranos and his assistant.

"Young man, you are back again. How may I help you?" he asked with a polite smile.

Kranos didn’t beat about the bush and imdiately told him what he wanted to purchase.

"More array materials?" he asked with a raised brow.

"Preferably two tis what I bought yesterday," Kranos replied lightly.

Although Gravel was stunned, he didn’t ask any further questions. Soon, he brought out the amount of materials that Kranos required. After calculating the price, he told Kranos.

Kranos didn’t delay and imdiately paid the money. This ti, he had completely spent all the mana stones he got from his parents. However, Kranos didn’t mind; if this could ensure his safety, the cost didn’t matter at all.

After the transaction was over, Kranos thanked Gravel and was led out of the antique shop once more. Thankfully, upon coming out, he didn’t notice the lady from before there anymore. Not giving it much thought, he went deeper into the city.

The activities of guards were more frequent in the city, so it would be a slightly safer place to craft the arrays he needed before leaving the city.

Renting a small room, he imdiately began

crafting arrays. This ti, he mainly crafted supporting rank 2 arrays like illusion arrays and so on. In the blink of an eye, ti passed and the sun had almost gone down the horizon. Fortunately, Kranos had finished his preparations.

Not wanting the place to get fully dark, he silently slipped out of the city. This ti, he covered his hair with a bamboo hat, while applying so makeup to his face to change his appearance. After leaving the city, Kranos paused for a mont to sense if he was being followed.

After noticing that he didn’t feel any peculiar gaze lock onto him, he sighed in relief and quickly departed silently, blending subtly into the night.

...

On Rose’s end...

After noticing Kranos purchasing materials from the antique shop, she quickly guessed that he was most likely preparing for the assassinations to co. She smiled sweetly, how cautious! She was pleased with this prey; she truly couldn’t wait to skin him alive.

Imdiately, she spread her consciousness into the flowers she planted in Kranos’ newly rented apartnt. Seeing that he was no longer there, she frowned and quickly called for the tracker of her group.

"Summon your demon and track his aura!" she ordered the young man who imdiately ca. The young man didn’t hesitate and quickly summoned a beast similar to the humanoid dog from before. The monster growled slightly, but he didn’t care.

Giving the order to the demon, he waited patiently. Upon receiving the order, the demon began to sniff the air lightly. After sniffing for a bit, it growled and its gaze turned to the direction Kranos had departed in.

Seeing this, Rose smiled and said, "Quickly call out your flying demon; it seems my prey is getting away."

The man imdiately complied with her words and summoned a peculiar flying demon. The demon spread out its wings for them to climb, and they departed soon after.

Kranos ran for a few ters, constantly using his space elent to increase his speed. After running for hours, he finally sighed after noticing that he still wasn’t being chased. However, just as he relaxed slightly, he heard a whistling sound.

Turning to glance in the direction of the sound, he realized that it was a flying demon that was heading in his direction. Kranos was stunned for a mont, but upon closer inspection, he realized that on the demon’s back were three figures.

A blue-masked man was in the lead, while the others behind him had white masks. Kranos’ eyes widened in shock. He had already run far away from the city; how could they still track him? He finally realized that they definitely had a unique tracking ability.

His expression turned solemn as multiple thoughts surfaced in his mind. He had to find out how they constantly tracked him down; he couldn’t continue being passive.

In the blink of an eye, the demon had reached where Kranos was. It landed and imdiately three figures jumped out from its back. After that, the demon vanished into white traces of light, into one of the white-masked n.

Glancing at them, Kranos’ expression was unreadable. He said in a calm voice, "Why are you chasing ? And how do you keep tracking ? I thought I kept my escape quite hidden?"

Realizing that they already knew his identity, he removed his bamboo hat, letting silvery-white hair flow freely in the wind. At the sa ti, Eternal Hunger appeared in his hand.
