"From what I heard, they own their own immortal world," Desmond said solemnly.

One had to understand that an immortal world consisted of three thousand smaller worlds, each brimming with unique resources, landscapes, and dangers.

After all, Kranos hadn’t even explored one percent of his own immortal world, despite everything he had experienced so far.

"Anything else?" Kranos asked solemnly.

For the Black Rain Pavilion to possess their own immortal world, it ant they were far more terrifying than he had originally imagined.

Desmond simply shook his head.

Internally, he began formulating questions to ask Kranos, curiosity gnawing at his mind.

"You seem quite mysterious..." Desmond said in a aningful tone, his voice layered with suspicion and intrigue.

Kranos understood the direction Desmond was heading toward. Without hesitation, he vanished, utilizing the Heaven and Earth Movent Technique to its fullest extent.

Since their conversation was over, Kranos had no further reason to remain with Desmond.

Watching Kranos disappear, Desmond was montarily stunned. He stared in the direction Kranos had just stood, his expression twisted with confusion.

Weren’t they supposed to exchange more information?

His eyes flickered with a complex light as nurous thoughts rushed through his mind.

Seeing there was nothing he could do, and unable to track Kranos’s movent, Desmond made up his mind to return to the Scarlet Moon Organization and report his findings.

It was extrely valuable information.

Although the authenticity hadn’t been verified, sending a few experts to observe Kathryn would certainly help confirm the truth.

Desmond was confident he would be rewarded handsoly for his report, which eased his sense of unease.

...

Kranos reappeared in familiar streets, his figure strolling calmly among the scattered passersby.

He observed the townsfolk engaging in simple, mundane tasks—sweeping storefronts, trading goods, hauling carts. The clamor of life filled the air with a subtle warmth.

Choosing to wander the streets was his way of settling his thoughts and steadying his heart.

Burdening his mind excessively wouldn’t allow him to think clearly.

It was a habit ford from his past life. As an old man, leisure walks like these helped him clear his head and organize his thoughts.

...

After walking for a while, Kranos finally returned to Kathryn’s residence.

They were originally supposed to stay for two months, but the Scarlet Moon Organization had disrupted their plans only one month in. Then there was Aurora, who had arrived an entire month later.

Kranos sank into deep thought as he contemplated how to deal with Aurora’s situation.

He knew he had to confront her eventually.

However, given her twisted ideals of devouring ti cultivators to advance, he couldn’t feel at ease.

There was also the disconcerting fact that she was unaffected by his ti abilities, which made him extrely cautious.

That made her a wild variable he couldn’t afford to underestimate.

Kranos exhaled softly. In the end, he would still need Kathryn’s help to deal with Aurora.

In just a month, when Aurora arrived, they would all head to the trial ground.

Kranos recalled the events of the trial in his previous life.

It had been captivating, to say the least.

Closing his eyes, he cast away his current thoughts and allowed ti to flow naturally. He would deal with everything when the mont ca.

...

Ti slipped by silently, and in the blink of an eye, a month had passed.

During that period, Kranos kept in regular contact with the Scarlet Moon Organization.

Of course, the one he communicated with was Desmond, but Kranos could easily guess that the organization’s elders were lurking behind the scenes, whispering instructions and pulling strings.

When he inford them of the secret inheritance ground that would soon appear, they initially doubted him.

Surprisingly, Kranos made no effort to convince them further. That act alone shifted their mindset.

It was a classic psychological trick—by refusing to elaborate, he conveyed that he had his own reasons and that their disbelief didn’t concern him.

Besides that, he had also ntioned the Divine Illusion Eyes.

They were skeptical since they had never heard of such an eye before. Still, they had no choice but to believe him and eventually began their own research.

Just as Kranos remained imrsed in cultivation, attuning to the passage of ti around him, a mysterious aura suddenly spread through the area.

Aurora had arrived.

Her presence swept across the skies like a ripple, instantly awakening Kathryn, who had been ditating in her room. She opened her eyes and lifted her head, staring at the heavens with curiosity.

Due to her past life, Kathryn had crossed paths with the Black Rain Pavilion and recognized their aura imdiately.

She let out a quiet sigh and slowly stood.

Had a ti cultivator been exposed?

If so, she needed to locate them quickly. Perhaps she could enslave them, turn them into her pawn.

Kevin, who had been in a separate room, sensed the aura as well. He exited his room just as his sister stepped out of hers.

Kranos opened his eyes and stepped outside shortly afterward.

After all, if everyone reacted to the disturbance and he didn’t, it would arouse suspicion.

He wanted everything to remain normal until the mont he eliminated Kathryn once and for all.

The mont he stepped outside, his gaze imdiately t the anomaly in the sky.

As their eyes locked, ti itself seed to co to a halt.

Kathryn’s brows furrowed faintly.

"He is different. I can’t tell what exactly changed, but I can sense it. Is it a good change or a bad one?"

Her mind swirled with uncertainty.

The instant she saw Kranos, she noticed that he was masking his emotions, trying to suppress them behind a blank facade.

Although she hadn’t activated her Divine Illusion Eyes—since doing so required divine energy—her innate intuition allowed her to see through surface illusions at a glance.

Still, she didn’t think too deeply about it. Not even for a mont did she consider that Kranos might have discovered the flaw in her plan.

In fact, she could have never imagined that Kranos had already escaped the fate she once crafted for him—had lived through her manipulation, died by her hands, and now returned with a second chance to rewrite that destiny.

Kranos stared at Kathryn, and a violent surge of killing intent surged within his chest.

Yet, he said nothing.

He wasn’t ready to kill her yet. Only when his plans were fully in place would he completely erase her from existence.

He gave her a polite nod and turned his gaze elsewhere.

Kathryn returned his nod with a smile, her face warm and gentle.

Internally, Kranos sneered.

Such tricks might have worked on him before, but not anymore.

"How has cultivation been?" Kathryn asked, her voice carrying an air of concern.

Kranos answered vaguely, "It’s been normal, to say the least. I haven’t broken through in a while. Still trying my best."

He completely concealed the truth, refusing to expose any detail of his progress to the scheming witch.

In truth, he had advanced rapidly.

His strength had skyrocketed. From the initial Dao Palace Realm, he had reached the fourth stage.

He could even feel himself approaching the fifth stage.

As for his ti path cultivation, he remained at the second stage of the Ti Palace Realm, though progress was steady and promising.

He had also deepened his comprehension of ti-related abilities and elental techniques.

Despite these breakthroughs, he kept everything hidden. To Kathryn, he showed only the surface, pretending to be stagnant at the first stage of the Dao Palace Realm.

He had no idea what other cards Kathryn might still have, but he intended to be prepared.

Glancing at Kevin, he noticed his strength was consistent with the previous tiline. Kevin was at the third stage of the Dao Palace Realm.

Although Kevin hadn’t been directly involved in Kranos’s third death, Kranos had already marked his na in his ntal death list.

Kevin would die—without question.

But Kathryn remained the top priority.

Suddenly, a thunderous crash echoed.

The house collapsed on top of Kranos and Kathryn.

Reacting instantly, Kathryn released a wave of flas that incinerated the debris.

As the dust settled, a lone figure beca visible.

A woman stood before them, her hair cascading like liquid crystal, her presence ethereal and radiant. A faint shimr enveloped her form, illuminating the surroundings with a celestial light.

Kranos recognized her at once.

Aurora.

She had died in his previous life, but due to his regression, she now stood alive before him.

Kranos inhaled deeply.

Her death in the previous tiline had been far too sudden. He hadn’t expected it.

Now, her gaze swept across the trio.

She looked first at Kevin, then at Kathryn. A faint, nearly imperceptible glint passed through her eyes.

It was cold. Bone-chillingly cold.

Yet, even Kathryn, with her powerful illusion eyes, failed to detect anything.

Finally, Aurora turned to Kranos.

A soft glow blood in her eyes as she stared at him.

"Thank you, Kranos, for bringing back in ti."

Her voice echoed not just aloud, but directly in his mind.

Kranos’s heart trembled violently.
