Then the main protagonist would have to run away or miraculously be saved.
He would swear he would get revenge one day…blah blah blah!
…A thousand chapters of training, and then in a few sentences, the main protagonist would kill the villain.
… And then repeat until the novel ends!
However, Lucian wanted to avoid that trouble.
He was not afraid of trouble. He rely wanted to avoid trouble. Having to deal with snobbish brats who thought the world revolved around them was too tireso. He just wanted to increase his strength in peace.
Obviously, he, Lucian, was the main protagonist of Celeste Universe.
How could he not be? He was the fusion of three Souls, had a Gourt Chef System bound to his Soul, and even transmigrated into a body.
If he was not the protagonist, then no one was qualified for that role.
The System was speechless, its Host was truly… unique.
Even though Lucian did not need the System's advice, he decided to ask:
[System, what do you think? How should I approach this?]
Despite, its Host speaking cryptically, The System understood his aning. After a few seconds of running various calculations, it responded:
[Host, despite you once possessing overwhelming power, building a friendly relationship with the mbers from Lion's Liver could prove to be useful.]
After a thought, the System added:
[Even before they advanced in their Mage Ranks they were a cut above the rest from Thunderfall City. I believe they all have so sort of background that could be beneficial to you. Having allies is better than enemies.]
Lucian was taken aback. Initially, he had only asked the System for advice rely to pass the ti. However, the System's advice made him realize sothing.
Lucian was not soone who preferred being lonely. What was the point of having an infinite lifespan if you spent that ti by yourself? Preferably, he would like to spend an eternity with his three beautiful Yanderes, but sadly the Universal Laws were obstructing their reunion.
As for benefiting from their backgrounds. He doubted that. What could they provide that would be beneficial to him?
Without wasting a second longer, Lucian stepped out of the kitchen and into the dining area.
He looked at the five of them and indifferently spoke:
"I have a proposition."
They were startled and looked up at the owner. They were just getting ready to leave when they heard the owner's voice.
"While I was busy in the kitchen, I overheard your conversation about going to Harmony City. I wonder if I can tag along?"
The mbers of Lion's Liver were surprised by the owner's offer.
Hervy was the first to beco suspicious. His eyes narrowed as he suspiciously asked:
"Why do you want to co with us?"
Lucian indifferently t Hervy's gaze.
"I want to buy so ingredients from Harmony City. If you allow to join, I will cook Siren's lody Poached Egg for you all."
"What!?" Hervy exclaid, shocked. He hungrily licked his lips and almost imdiately agreed, if not for the fact he found his mouth sealed.
After sealing Hervy's mouth, Garrett looked at the rest of his teammates.
"What do you guys think?"
Lane frowned and did not imdiately reply.
Cody and Coby nodded.
"We don't-
"Mind."
Hearing that the twins did not mind allowing the owner to join them on the escort mission, Lane's frown was replaced with a small smile. He slowly nodded, "It's an unusual offer, but having soone as strong as yourself accompanying us would be reassuring. Even if we all beca stronger there is no telling what could happen when escorting a caravan with rare and expensive rchandise."
Garrett also nodded, agreeing with Lane's words.
Ever since the creation of their Adventurer's Party, they lived with the motto of never underestimating anyone.
There was always soone stronger than you.
Only in a small city like Thunderfall City were Bone Tempering Mages revered, in a place like Harmony City, they would be at the bottom of the barrel.
If they ran into bandits who were strong enough they would easily get wiped out.
Therefore, having the owner who was both mysterious and powerful was good insurance just in case.
Lucian indifferently stood to the side as the mbers of Lion's Liver discussed his proposition while being glared at by Hervy. Though the slight drool hanging from his lips betrayed his true thoughts.
After a while, Garrett looked at the owner and finally broke the silence, "Okay, you can join us. But rember this, this mission is important to us. We can't afford to be distracted."
Lucian indifferently smiled.
"Don't worry, I won't distract you guys from your responsibility."
Garrett nodded and then removed his Earth Binding on Hervy.
As soon as Hervy felt his lips were able to move, he hurriedly shouted:
"As long as you cook for us, I don't care why you're coming."
Lucian shifted his eyes to Hervy and said in a matter-of-fact tone:
"I will cook Siren's lody Poached Egg only if you pay."
Hervy was taken aback and his eyes widened in surprise.
"Fuck, we still have to pay?"
It was not as if he cared about Low-Grade Mana Stones but he had thought the al would be free.
However, Lucian's gaze did not waver as he added:
"Of course." He then shrugged and looked at Garrett. He was their Captain and had the final say.
For a mont, Garrett furrowed his brows. By accepting the owner's deal, they would be gaining nothing. But when he thought about the Siren's lody Poached Egg and the owner's strength, he smiled widely at him.
"We will pay for your dishes."
He then extended his hand out to the owner. "Welco, the na's Garrett."
Lucian reached his hand out and shook Garrett's hand, sealing the deal. "You can call Lucian."
After taking his hand back, Garrett pointed at his friends and introduced them one by one to Lucian, "The perverted and rude one is Hervy."
