Chapter 476: The End is just the Beginning

After Shane had made the wish using the chance given by the Creator, he approached the elevation that was right in front of the Neptua ladra region’s beach.

John Stella had already made his announcent, ntioning everything necessary, which caused a huge commotion.

Umbra was slithering right next to Shane, releasing his wild aura that was strong enough to intimidate the already frightened humans all around him.

They retreated in fear, desperation while looking at Shane as if he had betrayed them.

Without the system, everyone felt powerless, and most humans had hoped to retain it for as long as possible.

However, instead of letting them cling to the system as if it was their life support, the echelons of the Astral Starlight faction were forcing them to abandon it imdiately, only to announce that they would leave Igra four hours later.

Everyone who wanted to accompany them had to obey the rules that had been made by Shane and stated by his father.

On top of the elevation, Umbra, who was slowly digesting the fruits and other food items Shane had given him to increase his quality, roared out, attracting everyone’s attention.

Right now, every single human was in the Neptua Ladra region, with over a hundred million that looked up to Shane and the others with high hopes.

If they were to work together, they could overwhelm everyone, but what would that bring?

Their will to fight was destroyed long ago, and most of them were not even combatants who were willing to die to protect others.

Looking over the huge crowd of humans that filled the entire Neptua Ladra region, Shane, who hadn’t been present at his father’s speech, ignored the microphone Talia wanted to hand him as he circulated a trendous amount of mana through his neck, throat, and entire head.

Amplifying his voice, Shane was extrely calm as he said,

“I can understand everyone’s fear, but we will leave in less than four hours. Nobody will force you to choose whether you want to enter the Hidden Paradise or not. The final decision of whether you want to colonize a new planet or stay on Igra is in your hands.

So may have noticed that we faced an unexpected betrayal only a few days ago and that the planet is slowly losing its vigor.

To prevent a repetition of the unfortunate incident, everyone who enters the Hidden Paradise, and leaves with in four hours, while retaining a connection with the System…will die.

You may or may not want to believe but I leave that up to you because only I have to know that it’s true.

I also know that so of you will certainly betray mankind, leaving the weak on their own the mont we enter a new planet, but that’s a given.

This is perfectly normal, and for those who are afraid to die in the wild, I have one question.

Would you rather die with Igra’s destruction that is bound to happen soon, or will you fight to survive on the new planet?

We cannot help everyone every single ti. As such, we need all the help we can get!

Every single helping hand is important and required to build a well-functioning society.

With that being said, I hope that everyone will believe it one more ti when I say that it is important to abandon the System and to leave it for good!”

After Shane finished his short speech, the entire surrounding went eerily silent.

Millions of humans were around him, but the only sound one could hear were the ocean’s waves that crashed noisily against the shore.

There was pin-drop silence save that of the ocean as everybody took a minute to process what they had heard.

Only a mont later, Shane snapped his finger, as more than a hundred Space doors were placed down on the ground spanning the entire Neptua Ladra region, while three gigantic portals manifested around the elevation he and the others were standing on.

The portals led to the Hidden Paradise while the Space doors were also connected to his soul world.

Levi, Lili, the Treants, and Shane’s soulbonds were already present because Shane had already explained to them what was about to happen.

They also knew that their death was certain if they wouldn’t abandon the System, which was sothing he stated clearly.

After the portals and Space doors had been placed and activated, Shane fell silent.

He simply caressed Umbra, whose quality was slowly increasing.

There were many things that had changed after the System disappeared in addition to the Upgrade function that worked differently now.

Absorbing one rare ingredient after another, Umbra was growing mightier by the minute and was no longer inefficient in combat owing to his quality enhancent that progressed slowly.

This was a great advantage Shane could use in the future.

Upon activating his mysterious ability, he was able to see the faint image of a ginormous being that looked like a snake, yet Shane knew better as he was overly familiar with the four claws protruding out of its lengthy body.

“A Flood dragon? Interesting!”

There were still two hues veiled by a dark shroud, preventing Shane from seeing everything properly, but he knew that Umbra’s third evolution path was a black scaled Flood dragon, which was one of the first good news he had heard in a long ti.

Busying himself with caressing Umbra, Shane gave everyone the opportunity to choose their own fate, while waiting for the next few hours to pass.

Only when he realised that more than three hours had passed did he stand up, telling Umbra and the others to enter the Hidden Paradise.

Once everybody important to him had done what he asked for, he was the only one left behind amongst a sea of confused humans. Shane smiled lightly as he laid on the ground, looking up to the sky, unbothered by the discussions of humans who were unsure whether they should leave with him or not.

However, pondering about their final decision was exactly what caused their last chance to elapse!

Suddenly Shane heard the voice of the Creator in his mind, sounding much gentler than it had been before.

[I hope you are ready for the next chapter in your life…Let it be a long and fulfilling one without too much pain and hardships! I believe in you. Let us et in the future, when you are ready to face the true enemies.]

Only a few seconds later, the portals to the Hidden Paradise dispersed, and Shane’s vision blurred as he was veiled in a white mbrane.

Ti passed at its usual speed as he closed his eyes, believing the words of the Creator as he awaited his arrival on the new planet he, his family, friends, and mankind were about to explore and colonize!

Unsure of how much ti had passed, Shane seed to float before his feet touched solid ground below him. Instinctively, he opened his eyes that felt extrely heavy.

Having arrived on the new planet, Shane’s first reaction was that he couldn’t move owing to the exceptionally high gravitational force.

However, seeing that he was alone, this was not important, and his mind was at peace despite the possible dangers.

His surroundings were filled with the chirping of birds and the roars of mighty beasts as a gust of wind brushed past his face.

He had appeared on top of a large rock that stuck out of the ground looking like the pride rock,

allowing Shane to observe the entire surrounding area.

A bright smile erged on his face as he witnessed the beauty of the planet that was brimming with energy and wildlife. An exclamation of surprise mixed with hope escaped his lips,

“So beautiful!”

No sooner had he marveled at the landscape, a thunderous roar rocked the entire surroundings, making Shane’s heart palpitate, as fear and excitent crawled up on his skin. Awestruck, he watched with wide eyes as a ginormous, more than a thousand-ter long silver-colored dragon flew over him, its wide wings flapping in the air, releasing its majestic aura.

With that sight the new era of mankind began, filled with struggle, pain, agony, but also joy, happiness, and wondrous landscapes; it was the new starting line the human race had to walk past to rewrite their destiny.

It was the beginning of sothing grand, sothing that would be written in the pages of history for eternity!
