"M-Mother," Vyxen moved forward, her voice shaking slightly as she tried to process what had just happened, "Why did you..."

"We all know why," Undyne groaned as she advanced, her steps heavy and forceful, "That thing... you could sense its nature, right?"

Vyxen nodded gently, and so did the soldiers standing around her.

No matter how they tried to understand the situation, nothing about this encounter made sense.

Everything about the young man they encountered felt unnatural, confusing, and entirely out of place.

"A male in our realm," Undyne continued, gritting her teeth as she spoke, "And... one that acts in such a way, this is not normal."

"But mother," Vyxen shouted, her voice rising uncontrollably due to the confusion swirling inside her, "Aren’t they all gone?"

"Sure," Undyne sighed, although there was no relaxation in her expression, "They are supposed to be gone, but you can never be too careful. What if one of them survived?"

"..."

"No matter," Undyne finally turned around to face the direction of the kingdom, her voice stern again, "Let us go back."

Many of the soldiers, along with Vyxen herself, felt surprised by the way Undyne behaved.

She was the queen of the [Soul Kingdom], the strongest of all their people, the protector of their land, and the guide they all relied upon.

She was the one who stood fearless when even the most horrific monsters attacked, the one who kept her composure in every crisis, and the one whose calm presence reassured everyone in the realm.

And yet, in front of this one being, she lost all composure and imdiately attempted to kill him.

"It is fine!"

"Yes, the male must have been dangerous. We cannot allow any of them near the kingdom."

"Better to eliminate them than to take chances..."

Many of the soldiers stepped forward to reassure Undyne, insisting that her swift and ruthless decision to eliminate that strange young man was correct.

But...

"Mother," Vyxen spoke again, her brows knitting tightly, "I am wondering about sothing."

"What is it?" Undyne asked, softening her expression slightly as she heard her daughter’s voice, "It must have been frightening. Unexpected things happen in this realm."

"It is not that," Vyxen mumbled, looking down for a mont before lifting her gaze again, "I an... I fired my arrow toward this valley, and the explosion should have absolutely destroyed that thing, right?"

"Right?"

"But if that is true... then how was he still alive?"

The mont she finished her question, Undyne suddenly stopped walking.

She froze completely, and her eyes widened sharply.

"The [Primordials] have that thing... that ability called [Determination]," she suddenly said, her voice quiet and tense.

And the instant she spoke that na, every soldier in the area felt a shiver run through their bones.

Even Vyxen tilted her head, recognizing the term yet not fully understanding its implications.

They all knew how terrifying these beings were. They had fought so of them before.

They had experienced firsthand the destruction and rciless slaughter the [Primordials] brought with them.

Their people had been nearly annihilated by these beings, wiped out with no rcy or hesitation, stripped of entire cities in monts.

Which was why they all believed the [Primordials] to be irredeemably evil.

But despite this belief, the uncertainty in their hearts lingered.

Because they could not be entirely sure.

Because even if Sam seed strange and dangerous, the hesitation existed.

They did not know whether he was a [Primordial] or sothing else entirely.

And when they saw him grin, even though they had no confirmation, Undyne did not take chances.

She acted. She killed him instantly.

But there was one undeniable proof of a [Primordial]. Their [Determination].

"But sothing like this..." Undyne whispered, placing her hand slowly over her mouth, "Why... why would this be happening? There is no way..."

All of the soldiers grew uneasy.

"I-It is fine, queen. The [King] himself said that all of them were annihilated."

"T-True, their entire race was erased. The [King] could not have lied."

"Yes," Undyne nodded slowly, "There is no possible way they—"

BOOM!

A deafening explosion erupted behind them, echoing throughout the valley, and every one of them imdiately whipped around to look.

And there he was.

Sam’s body reford in an instant, appearing out of nothing, as if death had never claid him at all.

"—Are... alive..." Undyne finished, though she knew her sentence no longer mattered.

Because only one type of being she had ever encountered possessed that immortal trait.

Only one type of being she had ever seen co back to life after complete annihilation.

Only one type of being revived endlessly. Those filled with [Determination].

"That was not nice," Sam said, his expression cold and emotionless as he took a step forward, "Now... I don’t even know."

Sam reached down and picked up his [Primordial Sword] from where it had fallen earlier.

Then he lifted it, taking his stance carefully. He would not be caught off guard again.

Even if Undyne was much stronger than him, he refused to die without defending himself.

"Primordial!" Undyne shouted, pointing her spear straight at him, "I will not allow you to harm my people!"

"..." Sam stared back at her quietly.

It seed they actually understood what he was.

"I am not an enemy."

"Liar!" Undyne roared, and her aura burst forth with so much force that the sky itself seed to tremble, "The destruction your kind caused is unforgivable!"

"I do not even know any of them personally," Sam replied, shrugging slightly, "I was simply born that way."

Sam and Undyne faced each other, both weapons drawn, neither backing down.

"Just leave us alone," Undyne growled.

Spear of Doom!

In a single instant, she dashed forward and struck Sam before he could even move.

[You have died.]

Ding!

["Determination is Fuel" has activated.]

"You are stronger than ," Sam said calmly as his body reford once again, "But you cannot kill . Also... I can tell that your [Determination] is wavering."

Black Fla Synergy!

Undyne’s entire body ignited with black flas, and when she struck Sam again, the flas transferred to him, burning him to ash.

[You have died.]

Ding!

["Determination is Fuel" has activated.]

"There is no point in this," Sam said, irritation building in his tone, "Let us talk."

"I... I cannot take that risk. I am sorry," Undyne whispered, and she killed him again.

And again. And again.

Even though Sam revived endlessly, Undyne never stopped attacking.

Vyxen and the soldiers watched from afar, relieved that their queen was dominating the battle.

But at the sa ti... they knew domination ant nothing if the opponent simply would not stay dead.

The [Primordial] in front of them did not fight back.

He did not resist. He did not retaliate.

He simply died and revived repeatedly, each ti returning with the sa neutral expression.

Yet deep inside, Sam was growing steadily more irritated.

When the deaths reached dozens, then hundreds, all occurring one after another with no pause, he could no longer keep his emotions buried.

His patience began to fray. Even soone like him could grow angry.

Undyne could not tire. Which ant this could go on forever.

"You can leave," Undyne shouted to her daughter and the soldiers, "I will stay here until it is done. His [Determination] will weaken eventually. It must."

But at that mont...

Ding!

[You have summoned a "Star of Hatred".]

It seed Sam’s hatred had built up enough to create a star.

[Hatred Bar: 93%]

And his [Hatred Bar] was on the verge of completion. Which was good.

[Let us teach her a lesson =)]

Sam stared at the panel and nodded slowly.

’Cannot kill her, but... if I shock her enough, she will talk.’
