“The King’s Ring? Y... You...” Nero opened his eyes widely. “That’s why you improved so much. Viola took you to Nasen and took care of Anubis. It seems like we’ve underestimated you.”

Nero said the last sentence very softly. He smiled slightly.

Nero knew right away how Shin broke away from his trap. The King’s ring was a special item that could store five items, skills, or magic inside. The owner could bring them out at any ti. So skills and magic could be imprinted in the ring permanently and only needed money or MP to call them.

This man must have stored a high-level magic breaking potion of the alchemists and used it on the trap.

“I don’t think I have to explain anymore?” Shin said.

“...You guys are real monsters.” Nero smiled awkwardly. He could not even move an inch. He did not expect that the last blow would get him this much.

“Any last words?” Shin asked.

“T... Then, tell why didn’t you do it sooner?”

That question got the crusader smiling.

“That’s because there’re so skills that the ring can’t keep for a long ti. I only recorded it in the ring when I was sure you thought that you’d gotten . Just in case I have to use it later after I take care of you.”

Hearing that, Nero did not say anything. He only laughed out loud. Shin stood still.

“Clever.” Nero smiled. “You must be very confident that you’ll be able to take us down. Interesting.”

Even though he was laughing, his eyes were glowing terrifyingly.

“You’ve prepared yourselves well. However, you’ve failed. You can have , but you’re not my leader’s opponent at all. You won’t be able to make a scratch on him!”

“That we’ll decide ourselves, Nero.”

The King’s ring shone brightly. The blue fla changed into a light yellow one. It was a sign that the ring had brought out a skill.

A heap of wind gushed out of the crusader. The Longinus glowed.

“You’ll decide it yourself? Good!” Nero laughed like a madman. “Then, I’ll keep a watch on you. Don’t forget what you just said, good hunter. It’s not over yet. I’ll make sure to pay you back ten folds next ti we et.”

“Are you done talking?”

Shindanai was blunt. He tightened his grip on the spear. Nero still smiled happily, even though the Longinus was pointed at his chest.

The final blow from the crusader was impactful. Nero’s body disintegrated right away. Even though it was the skill that was being stored in the ring, it was still very powerful!

The bright light that destroyed everything before it even got Allen disintegrated, too. There was only a big rift on the ground left. The crusader put his Longinus on his shoulders. There was no wound on his body, and he was not even cursed even after using such a powerful move.

Waree, who had been watching them from afar, smiled and sighed softly.

“Paying back ten folds?” He smirked. “Co at if you can, whoever you are.”

“Lucius!”

A panicky voice sounded. The girl’s blue eyes shone with anxiety. The man was still sitting there with a screen with the word ‘Signal lost’ in front of him.

“I know. Allen and Nero, I see.”

The red-haired man said nonchalantly.

“They’ve fallen. Should we really let this go? They should be our source of power when fighting Viola. Letting them go like this...”

“This is good.” Lucius cut her off. “Those two did everything according to plan. Let them rest. Look at the other two. I told them to not unseal, and they don’t even listen.”

Lucius glanced in another direction, where the Earth Goddess was and where there were continuous explosions, which was the most heated battlefield!

“Letting their personal feelings take control again, Aaron and Emilia.” The man rested his chin on his hand wearily. “Well, I guess Emilia got Valentine showing up from her den. I’ll forgive her.”

The girl behind him frowned.

Even though they had been close, she could never read him. Viola, too. They were unpredictable. They were even mysterious to their people!

“Don’t be so stressed, Scarlet,” Lucius said softly.

“How can I not be? Two of our people have fallen.” The woman muttered.

That made Lucius smile for the first ti. The strange text was still running on the screen.

“Soon, Scarlet.” Lucius sighed. “Soon it’ll all be over. The puzzle is forming, and it’ll be over even before you know it.

“Well, what an ugly Goddess up close.”

The sweet voice rang while the owner of it still holding the big gun. Her lavender eyes stared at the giant in front of her. She was smiling.

anwhile, Gaia sat down in pain. Her right arm was cut off so easily. She did not even know when or how. It was like this before she knew it.

“Oh wow, it’s impressive how you can fix your arm.”

Valentine, the number one gunner in Pride, said cutely. She tilted her head a little and narrowed her eyes, watching Gaia, who was absorbing dirt from the ground to form a new arm.

“Ms. Valentine, please be careful. It’s an earth monster, so fixing itself with dirt is normal. It can also absorb magic, so don’t use any!”

Maysa warned her. The woman smiled slightly.

“Ms. Maysa.” She paused and turned to Maysa. “I told you that I’ll take care of the rest.”

She smiled sweetly. Maysa blinked.

“Vis.”

Valentine said a na. Imdiately, a man jumped down next to her. Maysa was startled. He had poofy black hair and an eye fold like that of a pirate.

“..Vis the Eagle Eye?” She murmured.

“I’ll be out for a warm-up,” Valentine said. “I’ll leave this to you.”

“Mhmm.”

The man nodded and put his hand on Maysa’s shoulder, bringing Maysa back to reality. Vis nodded the other way as if to tell her to follow him there. Maysa obeyed him, even though she was still keeping an eye on Valentine’s back.

“Are you sure you don’t want to help her? That’s Gaia we’re talking about.”

Maysa asked Vis. The man seed nonchalant.

“What about it?” He asked.

“She could die. You’re her sub, right? Go help her. No need to worry about !”

Even with that, the man still kept his straight face. He glanced at Valentine and smirked.

“The only way to support her is to not get in her way.” Maysa halted. “You’ve been with Vincent for a long ti. I hope you know what that ans.”

“....”

The chief of staff was speechless. Vis pushed her back forward.

AGHHHHHH~~~!!

At that mont, the Earth Goddess screeched so loudly. The giant burst out all of her power in anger. Her shiny eyes stared at the girl who dared to cut her arm off.

Even so, the number one gunner, ‘The Flaming Rose’, was still smiling.

“It seems you’re getting heated up, Ms. Goddess.”

BOOM!!!

Suddenly, there were so many thorns plunging out of the ground where she was standing. However, she dodged it with ease.

“Well, well, so furious.”

Valentine, then, raised the gun up and pointed it at Gaia. The red ball of light glowed at the end of the barrel. It went straight at Gaia’s chest!

AHHHHHHHHH~~~!!

The damage number was bad, yet the hole in the middle of the Goddess was even worse. She screeched again in pain. The Goddess swayed backwards. Valentine was still smiling without fear.

“How’s it possible? How can she penetrate Gaia so easily?”
