It was the third day of preparation before the war. Back at the secret base of the Desert Warriors, the technicians of the Nesis had been struggling with what they had to do.

The biggest problem about the ship had always been a pain for everyone. The repair had been going on so slowly that it gave everyone a headache. Even though this place was safe, it lacked the required items.

The rear of the ship was severely damaged. Manoch thought that it required as much as twenty tons of iron and another ten tons of mithril ore just to fix that part alone. They were all rare in this part of the map. And this stressful situation did not help, either. The whole town had been in turmoil in search of more food for the Nesis who were gathering here from around the world. There was no need to talk about what Manoch wanted for the ship upgrade since they could not even get it back to 100% just yet.

“If this goes on, even a month won’t do.”

The head technician complained while he was walking on the sand with another tall figure. He looked at the rear of the ship, where over ten people were helping each other to repair it.

“How’s it?”

A voice sounded behind him. The tall figure put his arm around his shoulders and leaned over him to look at the screen.

“Bad,” Manoch answered with a low voice. “We don’t have enough materials. I’ve been trying to craft raw items into irons and mithrils. We’re still good on irons, but the mithril is a bigger problem.”

The tall man let out a long sigh. k did not think this would go so well in the first place, especially during the war. There was no rchant anywhere to sell the items to them if they did not directly ask for them. And good rchants were even rarer than a pearl in the sea right now.

If it was not out of stock, so many rchants would already have been in contract with other armies.

The more they thought about it, the wearier they got.

“And have you tried asking for help from the people around here?” k asked.

“I have,” Manoch said. “They lack mithril more than us. They don’t even have enough to craft their weapons.”

He used the tip of the pen in his hand to scratch his neck.

“That’s why I can’t see how they’re ready for war.” k sighed. “It looks more like they’re relying on us.”

“Huhh... Sotis letting sothing go is better for you, k.” Manoch sighed. “It’s good enough that they have shelters and protections for us. Do you want a spa with girls massaging your feet, too?”

“It’d be better if a cute massager could co to every night.” k grinned.

“Get out of your fantasy.”

The navigator of the Nesis laughed out loud before he looked up at the ship again.

“I was actually thinking about crafting a new weapon for this baby, but I think it’s better to focus on the repair for now,” Manoch said while writing sothing on the screen.

“Right.” k agreed. “I’ve already designed a new weapon for it, too. The thing is, it requires a hell lot of crafting items. When I look at what we have, I think I should just let that go.”

Manoch sighed.

“I don’t want to say this, but the weapons we have aren’t enough. It’s been proven that this ship isn’t fit for a dragging war. If we don’t find a way to fix this problem, we’re dood.”

“Or we should just leave it here?” k asked. Manoch halted before turning to him.

“If we don’t have it, we’re sure to lose. Don’t forget that it’s not only the four gods we’re dealing with. Believe , they’re going to pack up their goods for us.”

“You’re right.”

What Manoch said was good enough to make k droop. It looked like the problem now was not only the skills of the players in the Nesis, but also how to get Alexander to work well again in the war. Before this, it was not anything but a ‘mobile house’ like Sven had said.

“It seems you’ve hit a thick wall.”

A sweet voice sounded from behind. The n halted.

The eyes behind the black glasses slowly glanced back at the source. A girl in a white gown like that of a scientist over a pink scoop neck shirt, pants, and sneakers. She had a proportioned face with pinkish lips. She also had goggles on her head.

That unfamiliar face got Manoch raising his eyebrow a little before he tilted his head.

“Eh? Mr. Viper hasn’t told you that I’m going to help with this ship?”

The girl looked at the ship. The two boys opened their mouths as if they just recalled sothing. They seed to rember that Viper had told them about the best item crafter here who was coming to help.

Manoch narrowed his eyes and glared at the girl.

He did not think that it would be a girl... And a cute one, too.

“Mr. Viper’s already inford us about you, miss. I’m k, single. And what about you...”

Bonk!

That habit of his got him a good bonk on his head. k could only sink down like a problematic child. The man with the fist closed his screen and looked at the girl.

“My na’s Sarunya. I’m the head of the item crafters here, a Creator level 140.”

“And I’m k...!”

“You told her that already.”

Bonk!

And again, k was about to charge at her when Manoch stopped him with a fist on the head. k dropped again.

“And I’m...”

“You’re Manoch, a Creator level 112, right? You’re the current head of the item crafters of the Nesis. You’re the one who built Vincent his light wings, which no one can replicate until now. You’re also the lead when building this ship. You’re considered a new generation of an item crafter, whose levels and abilities are through the roof that a lot of people are looking up to.”

The girl gave him a sweet smile. The boy could only blink.

“We’re the sa. What a coincidence.”

“...You’re right.”

Manoch only answered that so as not to be rude. k was still on the floor looking back and forth at the two of them. He, then, got up and whispered into his friend’s ear.

“She knows more than I do. If I were you, I’d definitely consider that a chance, Ae.”

Pow!

This ti it was not a fist, but an elbow that was directed at his xiphoid so hard that the man bent down like a shrimp. Manoch smiled at Sarunya as if nothing happened.

“Are you okay, umm...?”

“M...k. It’s nothing. These things happen all the ti. Please be my guest, Ms. Sarunya. I have to excuse myself and server sowhere else.”

Hearing that, the girl raised her eyebrows up high.

“What?”

“Suffer!”

Manoch raised his voice wearily, while Sarunya was laughing awkwardly at the la joke. ‘I told her my na twice and she doesn’t rember it. Ae doesn’t have to say anything, and she knows way too much about him already. How unfair!’

“Please don’t mind him. You’ll get used to it soon enough.” Manoch reached out his hand. “It’s a pleasure to et you, Ms. Sarunya. I think we’re the sa age, so please call Ae.”

“Okay.” The girl smiled and shook Manoch’s hand. “Then, you can call Taii.”

“Okay, Taii.”

He smiled back at her. However, when he tried to take back his hand, the girl did not let go. She was actually staring at him!

“Ahh... Taii?”

“Yes?” The girl asked.

“My hand.”

“Ah! Sorry!”

She quickly let his hand go. The boy could only smile at her. She was clearly flirting. Normally, he would definitely take the bait, but he did not have the ti to do that right now!

“You can talk about the work with k. He should have a lot in his hands for you.”
