In a large hall that was dark and icy cold,

The stone walls and the high ceiling made it look like a church in the dieval age of Europe. There was a statue of Jesus on the cross at the end of the aisle that led into the room and a large piano setting near it. However, the benches that were supposed to be there on both sides of the aisle were replaced by 7 caskets instead.

Each of those black wooden caskets was decorated in a different color cross from the others. About 5 of them were closed, while the rest were open wide.

Among the silence and the darkness appeared a man sitting on the edge of an opened casket, crossing his legs carefreely. There was a pocketbook in one of his hands and the other was holding a small coffee cup with a saucer floating nearby like there was magic.

“That’s too bad. There’s no good writer in the outside world anymore? I’ve been sleeping for this long, but there still isn’t sothing good to read to kill this boredom at all.”

After speaking, he threw the book away and it disappeared into the air. Then he drank all his coffee in one gulp, before smashing the coffee cup and the saucer into pieces on the ground.

“They are all about cliché love dramas. Don’t they want to write sothing at all? Reading too many of them makes want to throw up now.”

“That’s because humans can’t live without love.”

A sweet, lodious voice spoke up a while after that and got the man’s attention right away. Then, a smile ca across the face behind those glasses when he saw a wooden chair with red padding replacing one of the black caskets, followed by a small guest table with a full set of tea and dessert.

“Good morning, Miss Scarlet. It’s such a good morning that the first thing I see is your beauty.”

“You’re as sweet as the sa, Nero.”

The woman curled up a smile at him. She was in a fluff-up dress like so old fashion dress in Europe. With many laces and layers that covered her slim figure made her look cherished like a daughter of so noble family in the imperialism period.

She reached her hand to the side of the chair, and suddenly there was a tiny cart with a teapot and a pretty set of cups appearing out from the air.

“Tea?”

“Yes, please. I’d like to appreciate so warm Earl Grey tea, Miss.”

The lady who had her hair tied up in a tight bun smiled, before whipping her hand and the indigo-painted teapot flew into the wall with a loud smash sound. After that, the woman who had deep ocean-blue eyes snapped her fingers, and a new teapot in another color appeared and replaced the last one.

“Good choice. You always choose the best one. Anyway, I like this tea as well.” Scarlet said while she was moving her finger to control the pot pouring the tea into those pretty cups.

“Would you like so milk or sugar, too?”

“Milk would be nice, thanks.”

A small cup of milk floated up to fill the white liquid in the teacup before a little spoon ca to stir the ingredients together, then the teacup placed itself in front of the owner of those lavender-colored eyes who just sat down on a chair on the opposite side of the table from the woman.

“I can’t wait for the day that we all awaken.” The beautiful lady spoke up. “Then I’ll manage this room again. When we fall asleep, this room turns into a graveyard like this every ti.”

“But I think it’s Miguel’s taste in decorating that makes the room look like this.”

Nero spoke jokingly, before sipping on the soft taste in the cup in his hand.

“How long have you been awake, Nero?”

She asked in a soft voice after she finished making her tea. Her slender finger was demanding the teapot to add more water slowly, while those indigo eyes were looking at her companion.

“Two days, I think,” Nero replied. “How about you? How long have you been awake again? Also, where are the others? I haven’t seen anyone here at all.”

“I was the first one to wake up, around three months ago.” The lady answered with a straight face. “A month later, Aaron and Elia awakened, followed by Miguel about a week ago. They’ve all separated into Pride by now.”

Nero pushed his glasses in place, then tied his blond hair into a loose ponytail, even though he did not even have to do that by himself.

“I’m probably lucky that I didn’t see Miss Miguel here, or I would have been lectured about what I did 8 months ago for sure. You still rember, right? Before we hibernated, Allen and I almost had to tune our hearing systems again, because of the loud voice of hers.”

Scarlet giggled at his words. Her deep blue eyes were looking at so cookies on the table, and one of them just floated into her hand.

“The reason why you two took so long to recover was that you got beaten up really badly.” She said, taking a bite of that cookie. “Thanks to our old friend, Viola, who is still brutal like a monster.”

“True. Her skills don’t drop at all, including that crazy dog Sander as well.”

The cold-looking face looked down for a mont, before glancing at the casket that was placed on the far end of the room, the one that was sealed close with golden crystals decorated on it in the shape of a cross.

“After that battle, our leader barely cos out of the casket.” She let out a soft sigh. “I’m worried that his abilities will be reduced after he wakes up again this ti. We’re cursed to be with the eternity of ti, unlike them who slowly improve themselves to be better than us more and more.”

Nero was quiet for a mont, before glancing at the sa casket that Scarlet was looking at.

“Don’t worry. I still believe that as long as we have Alice and Boss, we still have the chance.”

Scarlet pressed her lips together with an unwell face.

“I don’t know, Nero. I’m concerned more about that kid nad Vincent, even more after I found out that he’s Viola’s son. This woman’s already tough, but the problem is that does the kid have sothing that is beyond his mother?”

Nero smiled, adjusting his glasses in place.

“There’s a saying that ‘Children have to be better than their parents’, I think we can take this quote in Vincent’s case as well.”

Scarlet glanced at Nero from the corner of her eyes. She was not smiling, just placing her hand on her lips consideringly.

“Another thing, I still doubt what the emperor Viola was talking about.”

“Emperor? Why?” Nero ger still, before curling up a wide smile. “They were just speaking nonsense, Miss Scarlet. Please don’t think Viola ant the Emperor of All in the Pride system. That’ll be ridiculous. You knew that the project was dropped a long ti ago by our leader.”

The light brown-haired woman curled a lock of her hair with her finger softly as she turned to look the other in the eyes.

“You’re right. Lucius destroyed that project a long ti ago, so that would be impossible. Maybe I was just overthinking it.”

“See?” Nero shrugged.

“But we still can’t rely on that, Nero.” She cut him off, making him pause a little.

“As long as they have the storm in control, I still believe that they have a plan to deal with us to gain the upper hand for sure. Especially the kid nad Vincent, I distrust him. My instincts say that he’ll definitely cause us problems.”
