Jiang Jingshi elegantly pushed up her glasses with her ring finger.
“These glasses don’t have a prescription—they’re just for looks.”
She explained,
“Originally, I wanted to try that teacher-in-a-won’s-suit style, but I figured it’d be too formal for eting students the first ti, so I didn’t wear it. I’ll show you privately soti. If I’m wearing it just for you, I can pair it with stockings too.”
Lin Zhengran gave a aningful look and nodded.
“Sure, sounds good.”
Jiang Jingshi didn’t expect him to agree so quickly. So it turns out Zhengzheng actually likes that kind of style...
Lin Zhengran got to the point,
“So why did you beco... my advisor of all things?”
She replied gently,
“There are a few reasons. First is my younger sister. You know what she pulled at that banquet not long ago. Even though I know she won’t cause much trouble, and I know you don’t like her, I still don’t want her clinging to you all the ti.
Second, now that you’re in college, I’ll definitely see you less. I’ve missed you so much at the company... So a few days ago, I started wondering if there was any way I could spend so ti with you.”
She smiled.
“And then I had a lightbulb mont. I made a small donation to the school with my own money. Plus, my dad is actually one of the board directors here. Ever since our family started making money, my parents have been really willing to invest in education and give back to society. So I ca here as a student advisor.”
“Board director?” Lin Zhengran finally understood.
“I see.”
She added,
“But I’m only a temporary advisor. I’m not officially on the staff record, so how long I stay depends—maybe a month or two, maybe half a year.
It just depends on my mood. Anyway, once Qianqian loses interest in you, I’ll head back to the company.” She blushed a little.
“Am I being too selfish?”
Lin Zhengran thought to himself: Rich girls really do things differently.
It all sounded so impulsive.
He smiled.
“I wouldn’t call it selfish. If you’re interested in being a teacher, then why not try it out? But what about work at the company?”
“Oh, that’s no big deal. Everything’s been running smoothly lately. Most minor tasks don’t need my attention. For the big ones, Pan Lin will send them to both you and . We can handle those after hours or on the weekends.
Honestly, ever since you and I signed that pact, my work efficiency skyrocketed. I have so much free ti now—it’s almost magical. I still don’t know how you pulled that off.”
Lin Zhengran nodded.
“Got it. So, for the foreseeable future, you really are my advisor.”
Jiang Jingshi gave a small “mm,” then suddenly coughed lightly into her hand and got serious:
“That’s right. From now on, Zhengzheng, you’re my student. When you see your teacher, you have to greet her properly, okay? Call Teacher Jiang! And don’t cause your teacher any trouble. In return, I’ll help you stay out of so trouble too.”
“No problem, Teacher,” he replied crisply.
Jiang Jingshi softened unexpectedly,
“I was just joking, don’t take it so seriously. This advisor role is only temporary. My real identity will always be your girlfriend. I’ll always be your woman.”
Seeing that no one was around, she took two steps forward, and Lin Zhengran got the ssage and pulled her into a hug.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, her fragrance wafting into his nose.
Jiang Jingshi shyly rested her face against his chest.
“Even though we hug like this all the ti, it feels weird now that I’m your teacher.”
“Probably because there are caras around here, and I’m a student now. There’s a difference between sneaking around and doing it openly.”
Jiang Jingshi looked up and smiled, then lightly kissed his lips.
After the soft kiss, she tiptoed in her heels and slowly kissed him again, lips gently eting.
After the kiss, she pulled out a small card from her pocket and handed it to him.
“This is my current address—it’s right near the school. If you want to co see after class or on the weekend, just let know. Your teacher will be waiting at ho for you.”
“Mm.” He took the card, glanced at the address, morized it, and handed it back.
“Got it.”
Jiang Jingshi looked pleased.
“Zhengzheng’s mory is still as good as ever.”
She leaned in for another kiss—but suddenly, the sound of high heels echoed from afar.
Startled, both she and Lin Zhengran quickly stepped apart.
A young female teacher with a ponytail walked over. She looked around their age—probably another student advisor.
Seeing the two of them talking in the corridor, Jiang Jingshi imdiately shifted into serious mode.
“Well then, Lin Zhengran, did you rember everything I just told you?”
“Yes, Teacher,” he replied promptly.
“Good. Head back to class. Try the cafeteria food at lunch and see how it is.”
“Okay, Teacher. I’ll go now. Bye-bye.”
Before leaving, Lin Zhengran nodded politely to the ponytailed teacher, then returned to the classroom.
As he walked away, Jiang Jingshi’s eyes lingered on him. It felt like he had sothing he wanted to say just now.
Probably sothing about those three girls?
If they hadn’t been interrupted, he might’ve told her what kind of relationship he had with those three...
The ponytailed teacher walked over.
“Teacher Jiang, was that our top student just now? Lin Zhengran?”
Jiang Jingshi nodded.
“Mm, that’s him. He really stands out from the rest, both in presence and how he speaks.”
The ponytailed teacher nodded, still gazing in his direction.
“He really does. Doesn’t even feel like soone our students’ age. I didn’t expect soone with grades like his to choose our school. It’s almost lunch—want to grab a bite together?”
“Sure, let’s go.”
The two teachers walked off side by side down the corridor.
anwhile, Lin Zhengran had just returned to the classroom.
Before he could even sit down, he was t with sharp stares from the Three Little Ones—He Qing, Han Wenwen, and Jiang Xueli—all glaring at him.
He felt numb.
“What now?”
Jiang Xueli crossed her arms with a “caught-you” expression.
“What did the teacher talk to you about?”
“Nothing much.”
Little Fox put on a jealous face and said in a syrupy voice,
“Brother Zhengran~”
He sighed as he sat down.
“Alright, I think I know what you three are trying to say. After all, Lili and He Qing have t Jingshi a few tis before.”
At lunch in the cafeteria, the four of them sat at the sa table after picking up their food.
Lin Zhengran gave a quick explanation.
“Her dad’s a board director, and the company doesn’t have much going on right now. So she decided to try out this whole teacher thing. That’s all.”
Jiang Xueli gave him a disdainful look.
“Try out being a teacher? That’s just the cover. She obviously ca to keep an eye on her boyfriend.”
He responded with a calm “mm.”
“Of course.”
Jiang Xueli puffed out her cheeks, still jealous.
“Hmph!”
Little He Qing gasped.
“Having money really ans you can do anything, huh? Even becoming an advisor is as easy as wanting it.”
Han Wenwen helped Lin Zhengran unwrap a pair of disposable chopsticks.
“Xiao Qingqing, being on the board of directors is already a big deal. That ans the Jiang Group must’ve invested a ton of money into this school.
And a temporary advisor isn’t even an official position, so I get it. If I were that rich, I’d be thinking up ways to stick to Brother Zhengran every day too.” She handed him the chopsticks, her fox-like eyes full of jealousy.
Lin Zhengran reached over and patted Little Fox on the head.
Little He Qing blushed.
“So that ans... Teacher Jiang is one of our sisters now? She’s... part of the sa bed-sharing group as us?”
The other two froze mid-bite.
Jiang Xueli’s face turned red as she looked at He Qing.
“He Qing, you really know how to shock people, huh? Could you please not say it so directly next ti? That was so embarrassing!”
