While things were chaotic on Yunfeng’s side, Jai was having a crisis of his own. He watched in disbelief as the whole house was being moved by soldiers, his mouth agape.

"What the hell is this...?" he muttered, quickly dialing Yunfeng’s number.

The phone rang for a mont before connecting.

"Jai," Yunfeng sighed softly on the other end.

"My family... it seems we’re moving," Jai whispered, shock evident in his voice.

"What?" His best friend sounded even more shocked than he was.

"Well, after you had that talk with my father, he seed panicked. Now, he’s got the entire army’s families moving to that unpopular villa area you bought. It seems we’re moving too." He gulped nervously.

Suddenly, a shadow fell over him. Jai looked up to see his father, who seed much sterner than before.

"Give the phone," his father said in a low voice, taking it without hesitation.

Jai stared at him in disbelief.

"Kid, you’d better move your family as well. The situation doesn’t look good. It could happen anyti now," his father warned.

"What’s going to happen?" Jai shot up, his voice filled with alarm.

His father silenced him with a finger to his lips.

"Oh my god, soone tell sothing before I explode! What is going on? Father, are you having an affair? Is that why we’re moving?"

"Jai, stop making a racket and pack your things. You’ll understand soon enough."

"What will I understand?" Jai demanded, stepping in his father’s way. "What’s got you so panicked that you’re uprooting the entire family to so random, out-of-the-way town? And what does Yunfeng have to do with it? Why the secrecy? Can’t you just tell ? I’m your son!"

His father sighed heavily and gripped his shoulders tightly. Leaning down to et his gaze, he said, "We’re moving because... a war is coming."

Jai froze. "A war? How sure are you about this?"

"A hundred percent. They might start bombing at any mont. So pack your things and move. Now."

"Okay... okay," Jai muttered, dazed, as he walked back to his room to start packing.

anwhile, on Yunfeng’s side, he had overheard everything and was now panting softly. "Shit. It’s coming."

He rushed to the calendar and stared at it. The days had passed quickly, and sohow, they were nearing the day.

"Why didn’t I rember this? Shit," he muttered, glancing back at his family.

To him, this was just a part of history. But now, he was about to live through this war—the apocalypse and the evolution.

Even though he had stocked up on food and bought a house far from the city, he still couldn’t be certain of their safety.

"Mom..." He hesitantly walked up to the two won bickering on the sofa. "We might need to move."

"Move? We’re not going anywhere. I’m not so coward who runs away with her tail between her legs," Hana scoffed.

"That’s not the reason... but there might be an imminent war coming our way."

Both his mother and sister froze for a mont before bursting into laughter.

"There’s no war, kid," his mom said, patting his shoulder as she walked toward the kitchen. "I’ll make so chicken soup."

"Mom! I an it. It’s happening. We need to go."

"Nope. We’re not uprooting our family, Yunfeng. Not because of your love troubles. We’ll face those paparazzi and those fans. We’ll show them we’re not scared," she declared confidently.

Yunfeng opened his mouth to argue, but his phone rang again. "We’ll continue this conversation later," he muttered, picking up the call.

"Yunfeng, hey," Muchen’s clear voice made him freeze.

"Hey," Yunfeng replied, leaning against the wall.

"You kind of left so suddenly. Is everything okay?"

"Y-yeah, everything’s fine. I’m doing good. Just... kind of sick, so I headed ho," he said awkwardly, avoiding the topic.

A sudden thought struck him.

"Muchen... why don’t we have our second date tomorrow?"

"Yeah, that sounds great!" his lover replied excitedly.

A small smile spread across Yunfeng’s face. "I was thinking an amusent park. Is that okay?"

"Done! I’ll pick you up."

After so more light chatting, Yunfeng ended the call, a soft smile lingering on his lips. The disappointnt and fear he’d felt after Muchen’s initial rejection seed to lt away.

Staring at his phone, his grin widened. "I’m going to make you love kids. You... you’re going to love our child."

Then he paused. "Oh wait, I need to tell Muchen about the war too. I’ll do that tomorrow... at the right ti."
