Chapter 117: Chapter 115: I Heard You’re After My Spirit Root?
It wasn’t just the Azure Sky Sect. The upper echelons of the other major Immortal Sects were all sending their disciples with the hope that the Bloodfiend Den would go completely bankrupt.
Their plan was simply to cause trouble and force the new night market opened by The Demonic Sects to shut down. If a lot of their people went and could actually get free Spirit Stones, they would just take them. It would be a waste not to.
And if they stopped giving them out...
...then it would prove that these Demon Cultivators were untrustworthy, which would be the perfect chance to show the world their true colors. Who would ever go to a night market run by The Demonic Sects again? How could it possibly stay open? No matter how you looked at it, it was a win-win for them.
Of course, these people had no idea that giving away Spirit Stones for the grand opening was just a marketing ploy.
Compared to the massive influx of custors, a few Spirit Stones were nothing...
「Two days later.」
While leading the Bloodfury Hall disciples back from hunting Demonic Beasts, Aaron Sinclair spotted a city being attacked by Demonic Beasts along the way.
’A beast tide?’
Seeing the dense swarm of Demonic Beasts outside the city below, Aaron Sinclair’s eyes lit up, and he raised a hand, bringing his group to a halt.
He looked down and couldn’t help but mutter, "Well, well... We went all the way to the Blackcloud Mountains before and didn’t see this many Demonic Beasts for us to kill. I can’t believe there are so many of them here."
’What was their purpose for being out here?’
’To hunt Demonic Beasts.’
So stumbling upon this wave of them was a godsend. The timing was perfect.
At that mont, the Bloodfury Hall disciples who had co with him were also getting excited, every last one of them.
Ever since they had eaten the roasted demon beast at prepared by the Lady, they looked at any Demonic Beast and saw only at—food that could be turned into barbecue skewers in an instant.
Aaron Sinclair let out a soft chuckle.
"Well, look at that. We’ve got work to do. Brothers, let’s finish this one job and then we’ll head back."
Everyone responded in unison.
"Yes, Young Master."
Aaron Sinclair smiled faintly.
He raised his hand and gestured.
"Go..."
The next mont.
The Demon Cultivators who ca with him instantly flew downwards.
anwhile, the Cultivators from the Kingdom of Solyara below, who were fighting for their lives against the Demonic Beasts, were left completely dumbfounded as they watched the black-clad figures descend from the sky.
These newcors shot them a glance and started cursing.
"All you useless bystanders, get out of our way."
"Yeah, don’t stop us from getting down to the real business of killing Demonic Beasts."
As soon as these people reached the battlefield, they charged straight in and began an absolute slaughter of the Demonic Beasts.
All sorts of Magic lit up within the beast horde—Arrays, talismans, and even blue flas. It was just that the black energy emanating from these Cultivators didn’t exactly make them look like the good guys.
’Demon Cultivators? They couldn’t be sure!’
But at this mont, the defenders didn’t care who these newcors were. In a ti of crisis, anyone who lent a hand was a friend.
The black-clad Cultivators were now in a killing frenzy, their expressions vicious. With every flash of their blades, another Demonic Beast’s corpse fell to the ground.
If they felt soone nearby was getting in their way, they would grab them by the shoulder, lift them up, and simply toss them aside.
The Kingdom of Solyara was facing a beast tide the likes of which hadn’t been seen in a century. They had already suffered heavy losses and were preparing to fight to the death.
One mont, they believed that once the city fell, the tens of thousands of citizens behind them would be slaughtered. The next mont, these people had arrived.
At this point, the people of the Solyaran Dynasty, who had been desperately fighting off the Demonic Beasts, felt like their brains couldn’t keep up.
’Reinforcents had arrived?’
’Who called them?’
’So strong! They’re too strong!’
Demonic Beasts that seed incredibly powerful to them were being cut down by these newcors as if they were rely chopping vegetables.
’But that didn’t make sense.’
Every single one of these people was an expert at the Foundation Establishnt or Golden Core Stage. Their Solyaran Dynasty was just a small kingdom in a remote corner of the Cultivation World. How could they possibly have enough influence to summon such powerful aid?
Aaron Sinclair’s figure slowly descended, landing atop the city wall.
"For so many Demonic Beasts to appear in such a remote little place... what could be the cause of this?"
’And isn’t this territory under the jurisdiction of an Immortal Sect? Why haven’t I seen anyone from an Immortal Sect show up.’
His gaze shifted to the direction the Demonic Beasts were coming from, which should be the Blackgold Mountains.
’Did sothing happen in there?’
’I should go take a look first.’
With that thought, his figure instantly vanished. When he reappeared, he was already deep within the Blackgold Mountains. By now, the Demonic Beasts that originally resided here had all gone outside.
Such an unusual event ant sothing strange was definitely afoot.
He circled the area and finally discovered soone standing by the edge of The Frigid Tarn.
’Soone’s here?’
Aaron Sinclair concealed his presence and watched from behind a tree.
He could just hear the person muttering to himself.
"All my efforts to lure the Demonic Beasts away from here weren’t in vain. I’ve finally obtained the Ice Heart Lotus. My son can be saved."
This person was none other than that senior disciple from the Azure Sky Sect, Liam Yardley, one of Jocelyn Grant’s lovers.
After half a year of inquiries, he had finally located this Ice Heart Lotus. However, this type of Heaven and Earth Spiritual dicine was always guarded by various Demonic Beasts with high Cultivation. To get it, he had no choice but to find an unconventional way to lure the beasts away. Thankfully, he had found his chance.
’I’ve got it.’
He had to leave this place first. He needed to get this dicine to his son as soon as possible, or its effects would be greatly diminished.
"It’s a pity. Even with this Spiritual dicine, if I can’t find a Top-grade Ice Spirit Root, I still can’t save my son."
"Damn it, that bitch Celeste Grant hasn’t shown a trace of herself in all these years. And her son is surrounded by experts, so it’s not easy for
to make a move. Otherwise, if I could just get his Spirit Root and transplant it into Ronan..."
He really couldn’t wait another mont.
Not far from him, behind a tree, the hidden Aaron Sinclair heard his words, a puzzled look on his face.
’Was I just enjoying so drama only to find out it’s about ?’
’Who is this guy? How dare he curse my mother.’
’An enemy of my mother’s?’
’Whatever, it’s not important. No matter who this person is, he’s already chosen the path of death.’
"Heh. Daring to curse my mother."
’But what was he just saying? A Top-grade Ice Spirit Root! And he wants to take my Spirit Root and give it to his son?’
’So, he’s plotting to dig out my Spirit Root.’
Aaron Sinclair laughed.
’How bold!’
’Since he’s courting death and has co looking for , of course I have to grant him his wish. KEKEKE.’
’Perfect. I refined a batch of Elixir Pills a while ago and was just missing soone to test them on.’
Aaron Sinclair had a Magic Treasure that concealed his aura, so even though the other man’s Cultivation was higher than his, he didn’t sense anyone nearby at all.
Sotis, having a powerful father had its perks.
And just like that, by the ti Liam Yardley realized sothing was wrong, it was too late. A palm struck him from behind, sending him flying as he coughed up a mouthful of blood. Before he could even react, a slap from the front sent him flying again.
"Who—who the hell are you?"
Aaron Sinclair appeared, then vanished again.
Liam Yardley stabilized himself and roared in fury.
Aaron Sinclair concealed his form and set up an Array around him. ’The opponent is at the Golden Core Stage; I can’t beat him in a direct fight. The main problem is that with my current Cultivation, I can’t inflict any real damage on him.’
’So, it’s ti to rely on external forces. Fortunately, as the Young Master of a Demon Sect, the things I lack least are Magic Treasures and talismans.’
Aaron Sinclair appeared again, his hands forming a seal.
"I hear you’re plotting to dig out my Spirit Root? Then why don’t you get a taste of my Blast Fla Talisman’s power."
"Now, blow... blow... BLOW!"
