Chapter 754: Chapter 742: Survival on a Small Island

“After the cruise ship hit the reef, Professor Qiao imdiately jumped into the sea with George.”

Frank spoke truthfully, “According to my n, when Professor Qiao and George jumped, they were wearing professional diving equipnt.”

“I think, Professor Qiao will probably use the equipnt to head to a nearby island, but there are so many small islands around, we have no way to determine which island Professor Qiao will choose.”

“I don’t want to hear this, find him for , even if you have to search every single island, you must find Professor Qiao!”

John’s complexion turned exceedingly ugly.

Before encountering Qiao Jing, he could never have imagined that soone could escape under his watch, three tis!!!

If this gets out, where will his face be?

Moreover, the research on the new type of wheat is pressing. If it drags on, it will be a heavy blow to the agricultural developnt of their country, M!

Therefore, even if it takes all the manpower, Professor Qiao must be found as soon as possible!

John naturally understood this point and quickly gathered more people, starting a carpet-like search along the surrounding sea area.

Only, searching for soone in such an aimless manner was akin to finding a needle in a haystack…

On the other side.

Just before the oxygen in the oxygen bottle ran out, Qiao Jing successfully landed on a small island with George.

Once on the island, the two imdiately took off their diving suits.

Following that, George collapsed onto the sandy beach, his speech weak and breathless.

“I’m exhausted. I never thought diving would be so physically demanding. If I hadn’t co ashore, even if the oxygen hadn’t run out, I wouldn’t have lasted much longer.”

After saying this, he turned his head towards Qiao Jing and, seeing that Qiao Jing was as calm and collected as ever, a sense of admiration spontaneously arose!

He couldn’t help but ask curiously, “Master, are you not tired?”

“I’m okay.”

Qiao Jing responded indifferently, then looked around to observe the environnt.

By this ti, the day had already dawned. Under the shining sun and the sea breeze, the clothes that had been soaked with sweat inside the diving suits dried quite quickly.

“Gurgle gurgle—”

George’s stomach inappropriately let out a growling sound.

He got up sowhat embarrassedly, clutching his stomach. “Master, there’s a serious problem, it seems there’s nothing to eat here…”

They had successfully escaped and even avoided being tracked, finally reaching the small island through a strenuous dive, but there was no food on this island!

Could it be that their end would be to starve to death here?

“Who says there’s nothing to eat?”

Qiao Jing’s eyebrows lifted slightly, pointing casually at a thick patch of shrubs not far away, “There, see? Those are all good food.”

George looked in the direction she was pointing and indeed saw so fruit within the bushes, but…

His expression beca sowhat complex, “Master, those fruits, they seem poisonous, don’t they?”

He had seen this kind of wild fruit in a book before. According to the book, they were toxic, and the toxicity was not mild.

If eaten by mistake, one wouldn’t live past twenty-four hours!

Qiao Jing nodded, “Yes, they are poisonous, but I have a way to make them non-toxic.”

“What way?” George asked with a face full of curiosity.

This claim, though incredible, sounded feasible coming from his master!

“First, we need to collect so plants with detoxifying properties. Then, we’ll use these plants to neutralize the poison in the fruit.”

Qiao Jing explained succinctly.

George listened with partial understanding, but the one thing he could confirm was that his master was indeed an expert in dicine!

Just as he was thinking about it, his stomach began drumming again, even louder than before.

Qiao Jing smiled and then, following the steps he had described earlier, he gathered so plants, neutralized the toxicity of the fruits, and had a hearty al with George.

After filling his stomach, George’s strength was significantly replenished.

Having witnessed Qiao Jing’s actions earlier, George now looked at his master with even greater admiration, resembling the epito of a super fanboy.

“Master, what should we do next?”

“We’ll have to play it by ear, let’s first look for a place to settle down.”

As he spoke, Qiao Jing took the lead and walked into the woods.

On such a deserted island, which had not seen human activity for a long ti, there were bound to be nurous venomous snakes and fierce animals.

Therefore, they must find a sufficiently safe place to inhabit before it got dark.

Otherwise, their situation would be very dangerous.

George seed to have realized this as well, and he quickly followed Qiao Jing’s pace.

After about an hour of trekking through the mountainous forest, they finally found a cave that could serve as a temporary shelter.

Luckily, this cave had been inhabited before, leaving behind so household utensils and communication equipnt.

However, the communication devices had been left unused for too long—so were rusty, others were incomplete, and none of them worked.

It was only then that Qiao Jing rembered the cell phone he had brought with him.

He took out the phone, finding that it had been soaked in water for too long and would not even turn on.

When George saw the phone, he leaned over to take a look, “Master, your phone has been waterlogged; I’m afraid it’s done for.”

Qiao Jing pursed her ruby lips and said indifferently, “It seems that way for now, but with so fixing, it should still be usable.”

“What?”

George stared, dumbfounded, thinking he’d misheard.

After their underwater journey, could a phone that had been soaked in seawater for so long really be repaired?

And besides, fixing a phone was sothing that seed to require specific technical skills!

By the ti George collected his thoughts, Qiao Jing was already sitting on a large rock beside them, using tools left behind by previous inhabitants of the cave to disassemble the phone, seriously engaged in its repair.

George walked over and silently watched for a while.

Then, to his amazent, he discovered that his master’s technique was very professional and not just random fiddling!

Although he knew it wasn’t polite to disturb soone concentrating on their work, he couldn’t help himself and finally spoke up.

“Master, with the phone in this state, can you really fix it?”

“Yes.”

No sooner had Qiao Jing spoken than a chanical sound suddenly echoed throughout the cave.

It was the ringtone of the phone booting up.

Shortly after, the previously unresponsive phone screen lit up as well.

Seeing this, George was stunned, his mouth agape, “Master, you’re too omnipotent! I just want to know if there’s anything you can’t do?”

The agricultural tycoon of the empire, proficient in dicine, able to concoct anesthetic spray, a whiz at steering cruise ships, good at diving, and now with an added high-tech skill…

Is this even a normal person?

It’s simply defying the heavens, isn’t it!

Qiao Jing replied nonchalantly, “It’s nothing much, not as exaggerated as you say. I just happen to know a little about everything.”
