Capítulo 1056: Chapter 1044: Treating Wu Xirui

Besides the phone, Qiao Jing also ca across the man’s wallet.

She opened the wallet for a glance and saw the man’s ID inside.

The na on the ID was—Wu Xirui.

Qiao Jing didn’t look further and quickly put the wallet and phone back.

Since she couldn’t reach any of his family, she would have to take him to the hospital.

Thinking of this, Qiao Jing took out her phone and dialed the local ambulance number.

The ambulance arrived shortly after the call.

The dical staff assud Qiao Jing was a relative, and after loading the unconscious Wu Xirui onto the ambulance, they urged her to get on too.

Thinking it was best to see things through, she might have to handle paperwork at the hospital, so she went along.

Once at the hospital, Wu Xirui was taken to the ergency room.

The doctors imdiately began examining him.

After the examination, the doctor turned to Qiao Jing beside him, “The patient is suffering from myocardial ischemia, and his condition is worsening. You might want to prepare yourself for the worst.”

Hearing this, Qiao Jing was stunned and sowhat dumbfounded.

She was just a good Samaritan passing by; she didn’t even know Wu Xirui. How was it her place to prepare for the end?

Coming back to her senses, Qiao Jing fluently asked in English, “If surgery is conducted, what’s the success rate?”

The doctor frowned, pondered carefully, then held up three fingers, saying, “About thirty percent.”

Qiao Jing responded with an almost imperceptible twitch of her mouth.

Only thirty percent?

Doesn’t that an going into surgery, there’s a high chance it could be the end?

At this mont, the doctor gestured for the nurse to prepare Wu Xirui for surgery.

Seeing this, Qiao Jing quickly intervened, “No surgery. I’ll treat him.”

A surgery with only thirty percent success isn’t worth it.

If she stepped in, he at least wouldn’t die!

The doctor, astonished by her words, looked at her, “No surgery? You’ll treat the patient?”

Qiao Jing nodded affirmatively, “That’s correct.”

The doctor eyed her suspiciously, bombarding her with questions, “You’re a doctor as well? From which hospital? Do you have a dical license?”

Qiao Jing shook her head, explaining, “I’m not a doctor from any hospital nor do I have a license, but I do know dicine.”

Before her mory loss, she didn’t know if she was a doctor or had credentials.

But currently, she was sure she didn’t have them.

“In that case, you lack the qualifications to practice dicine; we can’t let you treat the patient.”

The doctor said this promptly, his expression turning more serious.

Qiao Jing furrowed her brow slightly, thinking, when a flash of insight struck her, she took out her phone to call Lu Zijin.

As the director of the Imperial Capital’s First Hospital, he often traveled internationally for dical exchanges, and paired with his excellent skills, he had quite a reputation in the international dical community.

If she could get Lu Zijin to say a word, the doctors here might agree to let her treat the patient.

Once the call connected, Qiao Jing got straight to the point, “Director Lu, I have sothing I’d like your help with.”

“What is it? Just say it.” Lu Zijin replied without hesitation.

“Here’s the thing, I ca to country M with Elder Xu for an agricultural exchange conference, and on my way out, I ca across soone who had fallen.”

“I sent the person to the hospital, and though the person is actually ill, the doctors here say the surgery has only a thirty percent success rate, so I thought I’d treat the person myself.”

“But since the doctors said I don’t have the qualifications to practice, I thought of you. I hope you can talk to the doctors here, with your reputation, I believe they’ll agree.”

Qiao Jing quickly related the whole situation.

After hearing this, Lu Zijin, without feeling burdened in the least, shortly responded, “I’ve attended a few dical symposiums in country M before, and have t most of the doctors. Pass the phone to one of them, and I’ll have a word.”

“Okay.” Qiao Jing replied, then handed the phone to the doctor beside her.

Since she conversed with Lu Zijin in Mandarin, the doctor couldn’t understand a word.

Seeing her extend the phone, the doctor looked puzzled.

Qiao Jing had to inform him in English, “Take the call.”

After hesitating for a few seconds, the doctor took the phone.

Upon learning that the person on the line was Lu Zijin, he was quite surprised.

After the conversation ended, the doctor returned the phone to Qiao Jing, saying, “So you and Director Lu are friends!”

Qiao Jing nodded and then asked, “Can I treat the patient now?”

“Since Director Lu vouched for your skills, I don’t doubt it. Alright, you may treat this patient.”

With Lu Zijin’s assurance, the doctor readily agreed.

Upon receiving permission, Qiao Jing comnced treating Wu Xirui.

Wu Xirui lay on the ergency room bed, half-conscious, feeling as though soone was pressing on his chest.

This familiar thod of resuscitation gradually eased his discomfort.

In a mont, he felt as though he had returned to four years ago.

In a daze, Wu Xirui slowly opened his eyes slightly, vaguely seeing the girl treating him, her blurry facial outline.

He moved his lips, weakly uttering, his voice as faint as a mosquito’s whisper, “Qiao Jing…have you returned?”

Hearing this, Qiao Jing was montarily stunned, pausing her motion.

Qiao Jing?

Did he call out that na?

She must not have misheard, right?

Could it be that this person knows her?

Could this person be soone from her past?

A myriad of guesses sprang to mind, prompting Qiao Jing to inspect the man closely.

And that’s when she noticed just how handso he really was, with chiseled features and perfect proportions.

In four words: unmatched in beauty!

Qiao Jing felt that with such an outstanding face, if she had seen it before, she wouldn’t have forgotten it.

Not that she was particularly appearance-conscious, but a face like his, akin to Zhan Qipei’s, was so remarkably handso it was hard not to rember.

So, she probably hadn’t seen this person before, right?

With that thought, Qiao Jing resud her treatnt of Wu Xirui.

Twenty minutes later, treatnt was complete, and Wu Xirui’s condition finally stabilized.

The doctor, who witnessed the entire process, looked at Qiao Jing with admiration, exclaiming, “I’ve never seen a technique like yours before! It’s truly amazing!”

“Earlier, Director Lu said your skills surpassed his, and I was skeptical, but now I’m a believer!”

“I earnestly invite you to join our hospital, if you’re willing.”

After extending the invitation, the doctor eagerly waited for Qiao Jing’s response.

With such remarkable skills, if she could stay at their hospital.

It would be a cause for great celebration!
