Faced with Qiao Jing’s counter-question, George was montarily silent.

Logically, if a stranger broke into the cultivation room, he should scold them and order them to leave imdiately.

But with the girl in front of him intruding without permission, he didn’t feel angry; instead, he felt a friendly and close connection to her.

Based on this inexplicable feeling, George nodded and said, "Yes, this was a plan I thought of last year, and then I started working on cultivation and grafting. It’s sowhat successful, but I feel it’s still not quite satisfactory."

Hearing this, Qiao Jing carefully observed the plant’s roots, stems, and leaves, as well as the soil used for cultivation.

After a mont, she slowly, without haste, gave her judgnt, "I think, perhaps it’s because of this soil. This kind of soil might impede the growth of this plant."

George was instantly surprised upon hearing this.

The soil’s the problem?

How co he never thought about it that way!

"Besides the soil issue, there are also light and humidity..."

Qiao Jing spoke eloquently, listing the factors affecting plant growth one by one and offering suggestions for improvent.

After listening to her, George was even more astonished, feeling that when she spoke, it was just like how his ntor used to guide him back then.

Though he and his ntor were separated, each in their own country, they didn’t spend much ti together.

But his ntor often guided him through video calls and sent him summarized agricultural insights, so he was very familiar with his ntor’s teaching thods.

Pulled out of his thoughts, looking at the girl’s black hair and eyes, George couldn’t help but ask, "Are you from the empire?"

"Yes." Qiao Jing replied casually.

George hesitated for a mont and then asked, "Did you co with Xu Hongzu, Professor Xu?"

His continuous questioning made Qiao Jing feel a little suspicious, always feeling like he was trying to ask sothing else.

Guessing this, Qiao Jing straightforwardly said, "If you have sothing to say, just say it."

George pursed his lips and finally asked the real question, "Actually, I just wanted to ask, is there any news about Professor Qiao?"

Qiao Jing looked at him with so confusion, "Why are you inquiring about Professor Qiao?"

George, afraid of causing any misunderstanding, quickly explained, "I don’t an anything else. Actually, Professor Qiao is my ntor, so I’m very eager to know if there’s any news about her."

Upon hearing this, Qiao Jing was slightly surprised and confird by asking, "Professor Qiao is your ntor?"

"Yes." George nodded emphatically, with certainty in his voice.

He didn’t know what was happening to him; normally, he wouldn’t share so much with others.

Especially about being ntored, his teacher once said to try not to tell others about it.

However, facing the girl in front of him, he couldn’t help but want to confide the past events, including how Professor Qiao taught him and how she accepted him as a disciple...

Qiao Jing couldn’t help but comnt, "You’re really lucky to receive guidance from Professor Qiao."

George agreed wholeheartedly, "I think so too. eting my ntor is the luckiest thing in my life!"

After chatting for a while, Qiao Jing received a call from Xu Hongzu.

As soon as the call connected, Xu Hongzu’s voice ca through, "Xiao Jing girl, the conference is starting. Hurry and co to the venue."

"Alright, I’m heading over now."

Qiao Jing replied briefly and then ended the call.

"Elder Xu is calling , I’ll be off."

With that, Qiao Jing waved to George, then turned and left, returning to the conference venue.

At that mont, the bigwigs from various countries gathered together, talking in pairs or small groups, sharing their insights and ideas on agriculture, all speaking in high-level professional terms.

"It’s really too deep, there’s so much I don’t understand."

Zhan Nanjing sighed, turned to look at Qiao Jing beside her, "Xiao Jing, can you understand?"

Qiao Jing said nothing, just nodded gently.

"Ah..." Zhan Nanjing sighed, "There’s truly no comparison between people. I think I’ll go out for so fresh air."

With that, she waved to Qiao Jing and turned to leave the conference venue.

As soon as Zhan Nanjing left, George arrived not long after.

He circled the venue once and imdiately found Qiao Jing, continuing to discuss agricultural issues with her.

Qiao Jing’s vast reservoir of knowledge in agriculture greatly impressed George.

After a round of exchanges, he couldn’t help but say, "If it wasn’t for your face being different from my ntor’s, I’d suspect you were my ntor."

Next to them, Xu Hongzu, hearing this, thoughtfully and inquisitively watched the girl talking to George, the more he looked, the more he felt this girl’s features were quite similar to Xiao Jing.

An outlandish thought suddenly popped into his head.

Could it be that Xiao Jing is really gone?

So heaven sent a girl very similar to Xiao Jing to the world to shine in agriculture and contribute to global agricultural developnt?

That afternoon, the agricultural conference concluded successfully.

Qiao Jing and her group originally planned to return to their country at night, but they received news that a typhoon was hitting part of the route back from Country M to the empire, making it impossible for the plane to fly.

Due to the weather, Qiao Jing and her group had to change plans and stay in Country M for a few more days.

To this, George was quite happy, imdiately arranging a villa as accommodation for the group.

Because of the discussion at the conference, he found himself wanting more and wished to continue discussing agricultural issues with the girl who was so much like his ntor!

That night, in the villa room.

Qiao Jing lay in bed for a long while without feeling sleepy, so she got up, changed clothes, and went out for a walk.

She walked leisurely, strolling along the exotic streets.

After so distance, suddenly from behind ca a "bang—" sound, as if sothing had fallen.

Qiao Jing instinctively turned back, and in the light of the street lamps on both sides, she saw a man had fallen down.

Seeing as it was already late at night and there were no other people around, Qiao Jing thought it better to go and have a look.

Thinking this, she stepped towards the man.

However, as she approached, a strong sll of alcohol wafted into her nose.

Qiao Jing initially judged that the man was probably drunk and had accidentally fallen.

However, out of her instincts as a doctor, she crouched down, took the man’s hand, and checked his pulse.

After feeling his pulse, Qiao Jing found that not only was the man drunk, but he also seed to have an irregular heartbeat, indicating symptoms of myocardial ischemia.

If left unchecked, it might be life-threatening!

"Sir, sir, can you hear ? Wake up, wake up..."

Qiao Jing tried to wake the man, but he didn’t respond at all. She didn’t know if he was too drunk and passed out or if he had fallen into a coma.

Thinking, Qiao Jing checked the man’s pockets, intending to use his phone to contact his family.

She found the phone, but it was turned off due to a dead battery!
