(A/N: A new legend rises—welco, Anthony Bova! Bonus Chapter incoming!)

"Then what kind of strength should I have to unlock this Imprison?" John asked.

My own Haunter's LV is already 60. After unlocking Imprison, will its level soar to 70? Or 80?

Fortunately, at LV 70, Gyarados and Dusknoir should be able to suppress Haunter no matter which one takes a shot.

But if it's LV 80, it's hard to say.

"Wait until all your Pokémon add up to defeat one of my main Pokémon before you consider unblocking it," Damian said after thinking.

"Defeat one of an Elite's main Pokémon..." The corners of John's mouth twitched slightly. This taphor... no matter how it sounds, it reeks of arrogance.

However, this directly explained Haunter's unsealed strength—Elite level!

At that point, I'll evolve it.

Looks like it's only a matter of ti before I get an Elite Gengar myself.

"Thank you!" John said, realizing that the most frequent words he'd spoken lately were "thank you."

Damian waved his hand. "You're Teacher's student, so you're my junior. No need to be so formal."

With that, he handed over another box. "This is my gift."

John opened the box to find a purple-black gem inside. The gem's color wasn't just from its material—it was wrapped in swirling purple-black energy.

It was surging with Ghost-Type energy.

No doubt about it. This was a treasure-level Pokémon item—a Haunted Gem.

"This... isn't it too valuable?" John asked. He understood that Damian was also a student of Principal Badman, making him his senior. But gifting a treasure-level Pokémon item right upon eting? Wasn't that a bit too generous?

"Don't worry about it. If your Haunter wants to unlock Imprison, one Haunted Gem won't be enough. I only gave you one. You'll need to find more Ghost-Type items yourself," Damian replied nonchalantly. He then pulled out his phone and snapped a photo of the charm ring on Haunter's arm before sitting back down.

A Mismagius appeared, floating over to refill Damian's tea.

"Think of it as an investnt," Damian continued. "If you can get a senior breeder qualification at your age, you've got a bright future."

"Well... if you insist," John said. With Damian going this far, refusing would seem rude.

After discussing business, John left. The gap in their levels was too great. There wasn't much else to talk about with this Ghost-Type Elite.

Instead of standing around awkwardly, it was better to head off. He had other things to do.

Freed led John out of the Villa.

Outside, John spotted Jellicent again—floating like a giant jellyfish with its bloated blue body. Despite its size, it moved gracefully through the air, like a Frillish spirit drifting through the mist. John rembered it as Frillish before its evolution.

"What do you think of this new junior?" a voice asked.

A no-na trainer stepped out from the next room after John left.

Damian glanced at him. "I thought you were gone. Why didn't you co out to et him?"

The no-na trainer shrugged. "Not everyone's as generous as you, handing out Ghost-Type treasures like candy. Besides, I couldn't offer him sothing as valuable."

"So, what's your impression of him?" the no-na asked.

Damian took a sip of his tea before answering. "It's our first eting. Hard to say much about his character."

He paused. "But from what I've heard, he's a genius breeder, comparable to Scarlett."

"You think?" the no-na trainer raised an eyebrow.

"When it cos to training Pokémon, his energy is all over the place," Damian continued. "It suggests he hasn't specialized in one type, but none of his Pokémon are weak.

"I'd say he's close to a Gym Leader's level."

The no-na trainer's eyes widened. He trusted Damian's judgnt completely.

But... an eighteen-year-old Gym Leader?

That had never happened before!

"Damn," he muttered. "I beca a Gym Leader at thirty-three. Compared to him, I feel like I've wasted fifteen years."

Damian smirked. "And you still haven't tad any Legendaries, have you?"

John returned to school with Haunter.

There were no classes that morning, and the hallways buzzed with activity.

The end of the year was near, and students cramd into the library to prepare for finals.

'Should I hit the books too?' John wondered.

But then he scoffed. I'm already a senior breeder. What's left to study?

He was ready to graduate early.

John called out Flygon and flew back to his seaside villa.

Once in his room, he stretched and relaxed.

He turned on a movie, ordered so food, and sank into the plush sofa. Pulling out his Gaboy, he booted up the ga, eager to explore the Carlos region.

He also took a mont to check out the Haunted Gem Damian had given him.

[Haunted Gem: When using Ghost-Type moves, boosts attack power by 70%. Against lower-level Pokemon, it ignores and reduces their special defense by two levels. Against higher-level Pokemon, it ignores and reduces their special defense by one level. The gem can be recharged and reused.]

John had never seen a secret treasure-level gem prop before.

A 70% power boost was insane. Plus, its special defense-reducing effect made it even deadlier.

Typically, gem props were single-use. But this one could be recharged—though it would require regular or treasure-level Haunted Gems. He didn't know how many lower-level gems would be needed to fully recharge it.

"If I equip this on Haunter, Ghost moves will beco my ultimate trump card," John thought.

Damian probably foresaw the risks John might face and gave him this as insurance.

Even though Haunter was only LV 60, with this gem, its first strike could hit like a Gym Leader's Pokémon.

Maybe... if I challenge a Gym, Haunter could be part of my main rotation.
