"w, if tagross and the others absorb the secret realm’s energy, won’t the secret realm still be destroyed?" Julian asked.
w nodded matter-of-factly.
Then it tilted its head and looked at Julian: "You don’t want this secret realm to be destroyed?"
Julian instinctively nodded. Of course, it would be best if the secret realm wasn’t destroyed—after all, over a billion Pokémon lived here. If they were to flee into Pannar, it would be a catastrophic blow to the country.
w nodded, turned its gaze to the slumbering Genesect, and waved its tiny hand.
At this mont, the energy gathering in the secret realm ca to a halt. Instead, powerful streams of energy burst forth from Genesect’s body, continuously flooding into tagross and the others.
Genesect, who had been in deep slumber naturally woke up as w directly extracted energy from it. However, when it tried to move—it found its body completely immobile.
w was a First-class Legendary, while Genesect was at the peak of Champion level. Though they seed only one level apart, the gap between them was like heaven and earth.
So after waking up, no matter how much Genesect struggled, it couldn’t break free from w’s restraints. It could only watch helplessly as the Steel-type energy inside its body was continuously drained away, funneled into Julian’s Pokémon.
And it wasn’t just the Steel-type energy—even the Bug-type energy was being extracted by w and returned to the secret realm, slowly restoring the energy that Genesect had stolen.
On its status panel, Genesect’s level was dropping.
It had already fallen from level 100 to level 99, and as w continued to drain its energy, it will only kept decreasing.
Feeling its power rapidly diminishing, Genesect roared furiously, "w, why are you stopping ?!"
It actually knew of w’s existence.
w: "You cannot beco a god."
Since it was fundantally impossible for Genesect to achieve godhood, in w’s eyes, what it was doing now couldn’t be considered "stopping" it.
Hearing that its long-held efforts were being dismissed by w, Genesect was first stunned, then began shouting frantically:
"I will succeed! I will definitely succeed!"
Unfortunately, w paid it no attention.
It hadn’t co to this secret realm to interfere with Genesect at all. It had only co here to find Julian. Only after arriving did it notice that the secret realm was on the brink of destruction.
So, under the pretext of helping tagross and the others level up, it indirectly saved the dood secret realm.
In w’s view, since it had stumbled upon the situation, it might as well lend a hand.
After all, w was inherently a Pokémon that loved peace and cherished life.
If it had been Giratina instead, it would have probably lent a "helping hand" too—by accelerating the secret realm's destruction.
Since w had cut off Genesect's ans of absorbing the secret realm's energy and was now reversely channeling the energy back into the realm, the secret realm would no longer be destroyed.
At this mont, the Pokémon inside the secret realm that had been fleeing toward the realm's gate suddenly felt the intense unease in their hearts vanish. This made them stop in their tracks.
So lower-level Pokémon even turned around and began heading back.
The higher-level Pokémon were still confused, wondering what was happening.
anwhile, outside the realm's gate, Pannar’s Champion, together with the country’s trainers and military forces, were still struggling desperately to block the tide of Pokémon pouring out.
But as the number of fleeing Pokémon kept climbing, the Pannar governnt had decided to abandon capture policies and instead kill on sight to improve efficiency.
Previously, every Pokémon that ca out was battled, defeated, and captured. Now, they were to be eliminated.
"Millions of Pokémon… are we really going to kill them all?" a high-ranking trainer hesitated.
According to intel from inside the secret realm, tens of millions of Pokémon were currently rushing toward the gate. They couldn't possibly capture them all—there were simply too many.
For Pannar's safety, they had no choice but to eliminate them all. Content originally cos from NoveIꜰire
Not just him—many Pannar trainers were visibly hesitant. This wasn't hundreds or thousands, but tens of millions of Pokémon. Though strong-willed, they weren't executioners.
Almost unanimously, they looked toward their Champion. Rather than follow the distant commands of the governnt, it was his words they awaited.
Omar took a deep breath and said, "Carry out the orders."
He was Pannar's Champion. His duty was to protect Pannar. He had compassion, yes, but compassion here would only spell doom for his country.
"Julian… I can only hope you succeed."
Omar silently prayed in his heart.
If they wanted to avoid killing tens of millions of Pokémon, their only hope was that Julian could find the cause of the Pokémon riot and resolve it.
The trainers around him didn’t voice objection, but their expressions grew solemn. They knew Omar's decision was not wrong.
Hesitation here would only lead to their own deaths… and perhaps the death of their nation.
"Champion Omar!"
Just then, a trainer riding a Pidgeot suddenly flew out from the secret realm portal.
"Is a tide coming?" Omar urgently asked.
The rider was one of the scouts sent into the secret realm to monitor the situation.
"No! That’s not it!" The scout looked baffled. "The Pokémon… they suddenly stopped. Most of them are even turning back."
He was utterly confused. The last "stable phase" had only just ended—it should have been far too soon for another one to arrive.
"Understood. Keep monitoring," Omar nodded.
The scout imdiately flew back into the secret realm.
"Sir, could it be the work of the Drakorian trainer?"
One of Omar’s close aides approached.
Omar nodded: "Very likely. Otherwise, there’s no explanation for it."
Ambassador David secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He had been staying here ever since Julian entered the secret realm.
Julian's identity was too special, and he was certain to beco the seventh Champion of Drakoria in the future. For him to enter a Top-tier secret realm with an unknown cause of riot alone was undoubtedly concerning.
Now that Julian seed to have resolved the issue causing the riot in the secret realm, it also ant Julian himself was likely safe.
"However, we cannot relax just yet," Omar cautioned.
Whether the issue had truly been resolved was still unknown—it was all speculation for now. They would need to wait for Julian to erge and provide details to know for sure.
"Understood. I will send more people inside to investigate," his aide said before hurriedly departing.
Regardless of whether Julian had fully resolved the secret realm's issue or not, the fact remained: tens of millions of Pokémon had stopped advancing, and most were turning back. That alone was undeniably good news.
Even if it was temporary, it gave them more ti to prepare.
If not for his responsibilities keeping him here, Omar would have wanted to enter the secret realm himself to see what was happening.
When the other trainers and officials learned that the Pokémon had ceased their advance, they too collectively breathed a sigh of relief.
