Julian yanked the Soul-Heart out from the stone tile and threw it straight on the ground. He even gave it a kick.

tagross: "Is he sick or sothing?"

Celebi: "Did Arcanine possess him?"

Watching Julian suddenly lose his mind, both tagross and Celebi were stunned. How did he go from being fine to crazy?

Could it be because he didn’t find what he was looking for?

But even if he didn’t, was there any need to act like this?

"Royal blood? Where the hell am I supposed to find that?"

The original inhabitants of these ruins were long gone. They were most likely still in their original ti period. Under such circumstances, how was he supposed to find the so-called blood of the Azoth Royal Family?

Celebi picked the Soul-Heart back up. Since it hadn’t been activated, it just looked like a dull, gray stone.

Celebi: "What royal blood?"

"To activate this thing, it needs the blood of the royal family from this country. Are they kidding ? The people of this kingdom aren’t even here anymore. How the hell am I supposed to find it?"

"Forget it, we’re heading out tomorrow."

Julian declared, completely giving up. This whole endeavor had been a total waste of ti.

Looking at Magearna, Julian sighed. "It’s not that I don’t want to bring you back, I just can’t. From now on, you’ll have to settle for being a glorified light bulb."

A majestic Steel-type Mythical Pokémon, yet he was powerless to revive it, the thought alone was disheartening.

Celebi: "Royal blood… as long as you have it, can you revive it?"

Celebi pointed at Magearna.

"Huh?"

Julian blinked and looked at Celebi. Noticing the thoughtful look on its face, he scoffed. "Don’t bother, even I can’t figure out a way, let alone you whose brain is filled with only fried-chicken."

The so-called royal blood was a complete dead end—an impossible requirent.

As for why it needed royal blood, the answer was likely tied to the genius scientist Nikola, who originally created Magearna for the royal family.

Magearna was ant to be exclusively for the royal family. Of course, they would make it part of so elaborate ceremony, adding a touch of grandeur by requiring royal blood to activate its Soul-Heart.

Hearing Julian’s ridicule, Celebi imdiately shouted back: "Who says I can’t co up with a solution?!"

"Oh? And what’s your brilliant plan? The original inhabitants of the ruins are long gone. Where are you going to find the royal family?"

Celebi: "I can travel through ti! I’ll go back a hundred years!"

"Wait… that might actually work!"

Julian suddenly ca to his senses, that just might be the solution.

The Ancient Kingdom Ruins had only appeared in Drakoria a few decades ago. If Celebi traveled back a hundred years, the ruins should still be in their original ti and space.

But there was a problem—Celebi could only travel through ti, not dinsions.

"Hurry up and give it a try! And rember, it has to be the blood of Azoth Royal Family. If you’re not sure who they are, just look for soone wearing a crown—their blood will definitely work!"

Celebi stood with its hands on its hips: "I know, I'm smart!"

Julian, who was used to retorting, stopped his words abruptly this ti.

As Celebi activated its ability, the space in front of them rippled like water. Without hesitation, Celebi flew forward, its body slipping into the shimring distortion and vanishing as if it had dived into a pond.

"That’s... pretty amazing," Julian muttered.

It was the first ti Celebi had ever demonstrated its ti-traveling ability in front of him. Julian had never asked to see it before, nor had he requested Celebi to take him along.

According to Celebi, bringing a human through ti could lead to dangerous instability. The most likely outco was the human dying sowhere in the ti stream.

Unlike the carefree ti-traveling adventures Ash experienced in the ani, where he bounced through tilines like it was nothing—he was the protagonist, after all—an ordinary person attempting the sa thing would probably just... perish.

"I forgot to ask how long Celebi would be gone."

Julian waited the entire day, but Celebi didn’t return. Considering the unpredictable ti ratio between the past and present, it was impossible to know how long it would take.

To his surprise, he ended up waiting for two whole months.

During this ti, Julian practically lived in the castle, handling all his eating, drinking, and daily needs there.

Thankfully, he had prepared a large supply of food—whether it was the stash hidden in Gengar's belly or the items stored in his system space—there was more than enough to keep him well-fed for over a year.

"tagross, do you think Celebi ditched ?"

Julian asked, lying on a park bench with a toothpick lazily dangling from his mouth, he stared at the drifting white clouds above.

"ta~"

tagross: "No way—it’s way too gluttonous."

"Yeah, even if there’s fried chicken and fries back there, I doubt they have carbonated drinks."

Celebi’s ti-traveling ability was part of its natural species talent—it could remain in the past for as long as it wanted. That kind of power was enviable but beyond reach for anyone else.

With no sign of Celebi returning, Julian released all his Pokémon from their Poké Balls.

The energy within the ruins was beneficial for them, so he figured they might as well take advantage of it and absorb as much as they could.

"How about hotpot for dinner?"

Julian asked, glancing over at Slowking, who was quietly trimming the park’s overgrown vegetation.

Without humans around, the plants had grown wild, turning the park into a miniature jungle. Thanks to Slowking’s patient pruning, the area was gradually returning to its forr elegant state.

"Slow~"

Slowking nodded slowly.

It seed rather pleased with the Gengar-shaped bush it had just trimd.

Of course, it wasn’t only Gengar—it had sculpted all the Pokémon into topiaries, even creating one of Julian himself. The shape was accurate, but the color... well, the green color made him feel a bit uneasy.

Above the park, two Beautifly fluttered through the air. One of them was the sa one Julian had spotted when he first arrived, but soti later, a second one had appeared—conveniently making a matching pair, one male and one female.

Over the past two months, Julian had spent most of his ti in the park, and the two Beautifly had grown accustod to his presence, no longer wary of him.

Watching the male Beautifly once again perform its courtship dance, Julian smirked and teased, "Still at it, huh? You've been dancing for two months straight. Has she given you the ti of day yet?"

"Classic simp-fly behavior."

Hearing this, the male Beautifly didn't pause its movents, but looked at Julian with a sowhat unfriendly gaze.

Male Beautifly: 'If it wasn’t for you, you third wheel, she would’ve agreed already. Do you have to hang around the park every single day?'

Julian watched as the male Beautifly, undeterred, fluttered over to the female once again after finishing its dance. However, as soon as it got close, the female swatted it away with her wing.

"One slap a day, and you still don’t get the ssage?" Julian snickered.

The male Beautifly huffed, clearly not in the mood for Julian’s comntary.

It fluttered over to Gengar, who let out a mischievous chuckle. With a grin, Gengar reached into its belly and pulled out a Pecha Berry, handing it to the Beautifly.

The male Beautifly took the berry and eagerly flew back to the female, offering it to her. To its delight, she accepted the berry with a happy flutter.

"Pfft, you’re such a scumbag-fly."

When a simp-fly t a scumbag-fly, the outco was bound to be tragic.

Almost as if it understood Julian’s words, the female Beautifly suddenly displayed a sorrowful expression, looking really aggrieved.

Furious, the male Beautifly whirled around and zipped over to Julian, buzzing furiously in his face.

Male Beautifly: "How dare you talk about her like that? She's my one and only! My eternal moonlight! I won’t let you insult her!"

"Alright, alright! My bad."

Julian raised his hands in surrender.

Satisfied with his apology, the male Beautifly puffed out its chest and proudly flitted back to the female, eager to show off its gallant defense of her honor.
