The pseudo-king rank battle was even more competitive than the elental rank. There were a lot of Pokemons that were going to participate in this battle. But there were also so that didn’t find the competition worth battling.
One of the pri examples was Togekiss and Feraligatr. For so reason, they felt that they could easily win a competition like this. So, there was no reason to participate in it.
Axel could understand Togekiss thinking so because it was very powerful and might be the strongest pseudo-king rank Pokemon that he knew till now.
But Feraligatr?
It was not a weak Pokemon but it was not the strongest one either. But it still felt that it didn’t need to participate in the competition. Axel believed that it needed a harsh reality check.
But now was the right ti. Axel had a reputation to maintain.

There were a lot of Pokemons in this round because the rcenary team had also joined the fun. Make no mistake, the rcenary team also had other Pokemons that were in elental rank or rare rank category but they didn’t think of using it for the competition. Axel didn’t ask them why.
The battle was fierce. Since Priape and Aerodactyl had just recently ranked up to pseudo-king rank, they were one of the weakest in the group and were eliminated very quickly.
Yet, Axel was not fazed by it. He could understand why they lost. Other Pokemons were just far stronger. It was going to be a good lesson for them.
anwhile, Feraligatr could not just believe that its friends lost to quickly. It knew that it was not vastly stronger than its friends. The gap was not so big. So, how did they lose so fast?
Haxorus was especially powerful in this round. Lance must have trained it really well. It defeated, Scizor, Ninetales, and Sandslash and went to the finals to finally face Mia’s Pokemon Raichu. Cynthia’s Roserade was defeated early. It looked like her Pokemon had also recently advanced to pseudo-king rank.
The battle was interesting and brutal but may be it was due to protagonist’s armor or so luck because Haxorus won by a very small margin. This showed how good Raichu really was. It fought a dragon type Pokemon trained by a dragon type specialist to a standstill.

Since we are a bit ahead of schedule, let tell you sothing about the king-rank battles.
It has co to our notice that the highest number of Pokemons in any round of competition is in king rank. Yes, this surprised too but such is the case. So, to not make the competition boring, we have co up with a new rule for the participants.
Each of the participants would not send out more than 2 of their Pokemons in the coming rounds. Also, such a rule doesn’t really apply to the mbers of the Blaze family.
Each of the participants is given 30 minutes to select all of their Pokemons. Till then, please enjoy the break and so delicious momo."
This was true because there were a lot of rcenary commanders and all of them had Pokemons in king rank category. If they used all of their Pokemons in the competition, then the competition would never end.
So, this was a rule they needed.
Fortunately, Axel also had only 2 tier 1 king-rank Pokemons that could be used in this battle. Most of them were in tier 2 or tier 3 and so of them had even reached pseudo-champion rank.
The 2 of them were Tauros and Pidgeot.
Axel had never expected that Tauros would be participating in this competition but Tauros and his gang had decided to reside in Hakone city for so ti and participate in this competition.
anwhile, Pidgeot had been thinking that it would win this round and it had been preparing for this battle for over a year now. But it had never expected that it would be facing Tauros.
Of course, Pidgeot didn’t know how strong Tauros had beco. In its mind, it was weak as before but it was about to realize how wrong it really was.
Also, these were not the only competition for Pidgeot.

Even with the restriction and even the trainer choosing one Pokemon instead of 2, there were 14 participants.
That was a lot.
So, it was decided that a couple of rounds of battle would be done today. Just to relieve the pressure.
This was a battle between king-rank Pokemons. They were very resilient and powerful. They had stronger defense and powerful moves. Most of them had pre-domain moves which would drastically improve their power.
Axel could already tell that Tauros and Pidgeot were at the top of their ga. Cynthia’s Spritomb and Lance’s Arcanine were also giving their all. Steven’s Southland was eliminated in the first round of the battle but soone had to go.
Axel realized that even though Marry was a fire-type specialist, she had done a wonderful job in raising that Gyarados. It was very versatile and it knew how a fire-type Pokemon would attack. It had a perfect counter for all of them.
That was how Arron’s Arcanine lost the battle against Gyarados.
Noah’s Slowking won the first round making sure that his reputation didn’t go out of the window. He was a mayor after all.
Actually, Noah didn’t want his Pokemons to participate in this competition but all of them insisted he do it. Also, his Pokemons wanted to participate in the competition. So, he had no reason to disagree.
The 7 Pokemons that would be fighting tomorrow were:
Pidgeot (Axel)
Tauros (Axel)
Arcanine (Lance)
Spirtomb (Cynthia)
Slowking (Noah)
Gyarados (Mia)
Dusclops (Alon)
Everyone noticed that 2 of Axel’s Pokemons had won the first round. This cented his position as the most powerful genius of his generation.
Axel also realized that even though the other trainers had many king-rank Pokemons, they didn’t want all of their king-rank Pokemons to participate in the battle. They wanted to hide so of their trump cards for ergencies.
Axel was the only idiot sending out 2 of his tier 1 king-rank Pokemons in this competition.
But he also had no choice. Pidgeot had been planning for this since the last Blaze family competition and Tauros wanted to participate in this competition. It had specially co out of its training place to participate.

Lance, Steven, and Cynthia had been invited to Axel’s ho for dinner tonight. Since his parents had invited them, they could not say no. Cynthia was also interested to see the house of Axel Blaze.
When they entered the house, they were surprised to see how big it really was.
It was not that their houses were small. On the contrary, their houses were bigger than Axel’s. They ca from the richest families but when it ca to Axel,
"Ahh, how do I say it? I an, I know that you are not poor but you don’t have past generation wealth like us. So, I didn’t expect you to have such a big house.", comnted Steven.
Lance already knew how big Axel’s house really was.
The place had multiple training grounds and all of them were hi-tech. There was a different place for barbeque, a garden, a big house, and a big gate and walls covering the whole place.
anwhile, Cynthia didn’t say anything and just observed the house.

"Hey, I heard that Axel broke up with Kate. Is that true?", asked Agnes.
"I don’t know and even if I know, I cannot tell you. This is a secret that brother keeps."
"Oh co on. Tell . I will give you a cake.", said Agnes with a smile clearly thinking that she had won this round but the answer was just the opposite.
Lance was declining any offer but Agnes was not going to give up. She had to know cause if she didn’t, her mother would beat her up.
Finally, Lance relented and told the truth.

Cerlin was watching Axel and Cynthia talking to each other. It had co to her notice that her son was now single and she had found a perfect girl for her. Cynthia was better than Kate in every way. She was more beautiful and she was a powerful trainer too.
She was even the rival of her son and she had a great family background.
So, should she say sothing to Axel right now?
"I don’t think so."
"AHHHHHHH"
Cerlin jumped in sheer horror as she heard a creepy voice from behind. She turned around to see that it was her own husband trying to control his laughter.
"What do you an? That I should not say anything.", said Cerlin.
"Oh co on. He is not even 20 years old and he has his own problems to look after. So, don’t give him any pressure. Besides, Cynthia and Axel look like rivals and friends, not couples."
"Arron, maybe you have forgotten but the whole world will end in 10 years unless so sort of miracle happens. So, we have only 10 years to live. So, Axel must be married by that ti and I want to see my grandkids before I die.", said Cerlin in a rough tone.
This had been bugging Cerlin for quite so ti. As per Xerneas and Axel, they only had 10 years to live. Now, even though she was nearing 40 years, she felt that she had so much to live for.
So, she wanted Axel to marry as soon as possible so that she could see her grandkids.
"Cerlin, even though we may die tomorrow, we cannot force our kids. Besides, Axel has to take such a big responsibility to save the world. We should at least help him out in so way. Don’t you think? And why do you think that we will die in 10 years? Maybe our son will create a miracle."
"But why does our son have to take all the responsibility? Can’t others do it too?"
"Cerlin, he is the chosen one and we have to respect that."
No parent would want their son this kind of responsibility and Cerlin was one of them. She could not understand why Axel had to do all those things. Why can’t he just relax and enjoy his life?

There was a bonfire and everyone was there including Axel and his family and his friends. The rcenary team had booked a hotel room for themselves.
"So, I want to start a ga. Why don’t we na the strongest Pokemon in our team?", asked Lance.
He was partly drunk and just wanted to make the conversation fun because it had beco too quiet.
There was a rising tension between Cynthia and Axel. Both of them were rivals and both of them didn’t want to lose.
"Ok, I will start. My strongest Pokemon is Dragonite. A tier 3 king-rank Pokemon.", said Lance.
Noah joined him saying, "My strongest is Scizor. It is a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon."
Arron said Arcanine and Cerlin said Nine tales. Agnes said Dragonite and now it was Steven’s turn.
"My strongest would be tagross. What about you, Cynthia?"
"Garchomp"
There was no need to think about it. Garchomp was her strongest Pokemon. Now, only Axel was left to answer the question.
"Sigh....
