With a resounding "thud," Registeel, the Steel-type legendary titan, crashed to the ground.
It proved to be slightly more durable than Regirock, managing to withstand one additional attack from ga Garchomp's devastating strikes before falling.
Chris captured it and imdiately checked its status panel. As expected, Registeel's attributes were identical to the previous two legendary golems—perfect IVs across the board, the Clear Body ability, and it carried a Primal Pearl as its held item.
This ti, however, Chris made an interesting discovery through careful comparison. The Primal Pearls did indeed vary in size. From Regirock to Regice to Registeel, the pearls had been progressively increasing in size. Through his Aura powers, Chris could sense that each successive pearl contained greater amounts of energy than the last.
"Just wait until I figure out how to properly utilize you," Chris murmured, eyeing the glowing pearl with undisguised interest. For now, though, all he could do was store it safely in his bag for later research.
After retrieving the Life Orb from the fourth floor's stone platform, Chris proceeded toward the fifth floor.
As he climbed the steps, Chris couldn't help but speculate about what lay ahead. The three legendary golems serving under Regigigas, the colossal titan king, had all appeared—Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Yet two floors still remained unexplored. What Pokémon could possibly be guarding these upper levels?
Could there be additional legendary golems?
Most people only knew of three legendary golems created by Regigigas. This was primarily because Regirock, Regice, and Registeel had appeared earlier in both the ani and gas, earning them the collective title of "Legendary Titans" or "Legendary Golems"—a naming convention that paralleled other legendary trios like the Legendary Birds (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres), the Legendary Beasts, and the Lake Guardians.
However, as soone from another world with knowledge beyond this reality, Chris was aware of two additional legendary golems that existed.
Regieleki, the Electric-type titan, and Regidrago, the Dragon-type titan.
Of these two, Chris had a particularly morable history with Regieleki. During one of his training sessions at an underground power station where he'd been farming Electric-type Pokémon, Regieleki had appeared and thoroughly demolished his entire team.
That battle had been a brutal reality check. In all his ti as a Trainer, Chris had never suffered such a complete and utter defeat. He'd been utterly powerless, unable to mount any aningful resistance whatsoever. The experience had been humbling, to say the least.
"Bzzzzt... Bzzzzt..."
The mont Chris stepped onto the fifth floor of the Snow Peak Temple, a sound reminiscent of crackling electricity greeted him eagerly, as if it had been waiting impatiently for his arrival.
"Speak of the devil, and he shall appear," Chris said with a wry smile, observing the brilliant sparks of electricity dancing in the distance. Despite the challenging battle ahead, he couldn't help but feel his competitive spirit rising.
The architectural structure of the Snow Peak Temple appeared to be conical in design. Each ascending floor beca progressively smaller, with less open space to maneuver.
The fifth floor was notably sparse in its layout. Four walls enclosed the chamber, with a central stone platform serving as the room's focal point. Suspended in mid-air by several glowing blue rings was a peculiar entity composed entirely of crackling electricity. The rings seed to give definition to its form, allowing observers to distinguish a body, arms, and legs. Seven pink dots were visible across its electrical mass, creating a distinctive pattern.
Floating above the creature's form, its na and level were clearly displayed:

Level 92! Chris noted with growing concern that each successive legendary golem had been four levels higher than the previous one. This pattern suggested sothing troubling—if it continued, the sixth floor would likely house Regidrago at approximately Level 96.
The situation was becoming increasingly challenging, though Chris felt confident he could still manage it. His imdiate concern was dealing with the Regieleki hovering before him.
The Electric-type titan floated in mid-air like an overexcited child, bouncing left and right with such incredible speed that it appeared to be teleporting. In reality, it wasn't using Teleport at all—Regieleki was simply moving so fast that the human eye couldn't track its movents properly.
Without warning, ripples appeared in the space directly in front of Chris, spreading outward in concentric circles like stones being thrown into a still pond. Regieleki had launched its attack.
Fortunately, ga Gardevoir had already prepared a defensive asure using Future Sight, allowing her to intercept the strike before it could reach her trainer.
The sheer velocity was staggering. Compared to the Regieleki that Chris had encountered previously at the underground power station, this one was even faster—significantly so.
Even when Chris activated his heightened perception through his Aura abilities to their absolute maximum, he still couldn't visually track Regieleki's movents. The creature was simply too quick.
However...
"I'm not the sa person I was back then!" Chris declared, extending his hand and snapping his fingers with dramatic flair.
"Gardevoir, use Trick Room!"
ga Gardevoir brought her hands together in front of her chest, focusing her considerable psychic powers. The force of her Psychic energy combined with spatial manipulation imdiately swept through the surrounding area, enveloping the entire fifth floor of the Snow Peak Temple in a distorted dinsional field.
Regieleki, whose speed had been almost impossible to perceive re monts ago, suddenly found itself trapped in what could only be described as a taphorical quagmire. Its body, which had been darting left and right with blinding velocity, now appeared to move in extre slow motion—as if soone had reduced its speed to a fraction of normal.
With his enhanced perception, Chris could now clearly see the individual sparks of electricity coursing through Regieleki's form, tracking their movent across its body with perfect clarity.
A satisfied smile spread across Chris's face. Ever since that humiliating defeat at the underground power station, he had carefully analyzed how to counter Regieleki if they ever faced each other again. The solution had been obvious once he'd thought it through properly.
Trick Room—a move that reversed the normal turn order, making slower Pokémon move first while faster Pokémon moved last—was the perfect counter to a Pokémon that relied entirely on overwhelming speed as its primary weapon!
"Thank you, Palkia," Chris whispered gratefully.
Without the Lustrous Orb he'd obtained from the Spatial Pokémon Palkia, it would have been considerably more difficult for ga Gardevoir to suppress a Level 92 legendary Pokémon like Regieleki, especially one with such incredible natural advantages.
But with the Lustrous Orb enhancing Gardevoir's spatial manipulation abilities, the tide of battle could be reversed with ease.
Regieleki, still suspended in mid-air, had quickly realized sothing was fundantally wrong with its body. Its survival instincts kicked in imdiately, and it attempted to retreat to a safer distance where it could reassess the situation.
But it was far too slow now—at least, too slow compared to what it needed to be.
Before Regieleki could execute its escape, ga Gardevoir extended one elegant hand and made a gentle pinching motion in the air. The electricity flowing throughout Regieleki's body crackled violently with a sharp "snap," and the legendary Pokémon's form twisted as though being wrung out like a wet towel. Finally, unable to maintain its levitation, Regieleki fell weakly to the floor.
When Regigigas, the colossal titan king, had created Regieleki, it had granted the Electric-type golem absolutely phenonal speed—speed that surpassed nearly every other Pokémon in existence. However, this incredible gift had co at a cost. In exchange for that overwhelming velocity, Regieleki had been given an extrely fragile physical form with minimal defensive capabilities.
Even without any type advantage in play, the Level 92 Regieleki couldn't withstand even a standard Psychic attack from ga Gardevoir. The power differential was simply that significant when Regieleki's primary advantage—its speed—had been completely nullified.
There was no such thing as a perfect Pokémon in this world. Even Regigigas itself, the mighty king of the legendary golems, suffered from the crippling Slow Start ability that severely limited its effectiveness in battle until it had ti to warm up.
Chris withdrew a Poké Ball from his belt and captured the fallen Regieleki with practiced ease. Monts later, its status information appeared before him:

Perfect IVs and another Primal Pearl, just as expected. However, this ti the ability was different from the other golems.
It was clear that Regigigas held a special fondness for Regieleki. Unlike the older trio of legendary golems, which all shared the sa Clear Body ability and similar movesets, Regieleki had been granted unique advantages.
It possessed an exclusive ability—Transistor—that dramatically boosted its already formidable Electric-type attacks. Additionally, it had access to Thunder Cage, a signature move that no other Pokémon could learn.
Compared to these special gifts, the older three golems with their cookie-cutter abilities and movesets probably felt rather ordinary and overlooked. If they were capable of feeling jealousy, they'd probably be sulking sowhere right now.
Chris stored the Poké Ball containing Regieleki in his bag, already planning its future role. When this Electric-type titan eventually joined the other Pokémon at his ranch, its treatnt and purpose would be quite different from that of the older legendary golems.
Regirock, Regice, and Registeel would likely serve primarily as impressive landmarks—powerful guardians stationed at various locations to maintain security and provide an imposing presence.
Regieleki, on the other hand, would beco sothing far more valuable. It would serve as a training partner for Chris's main competitive team, specifically helping them develop their speed and reaction tis. With its incredible velocity—even if suppressed during training—Regieleki would be the perfect sparring partner for teaching his Pokémon how to handle opponents who relied on overwhelming speed.
The thought brought a smile to Chris's face. That humiliating defeat at the underground power station would finally be repaid, just in a different way than he'd originally imagined.
