"The Ferrum Alliance Challenge begins now!"
The announcer's voice bood across the packed stadium, his enthusiasm infectious as he addressed the roaring crowd. "On one side of the battlefield stands the genius trainer Chris from the Hoenn Region. Since his arrival in the Ferrum Region, he has unleashed a storm of victories, defeating countless challengers who dared to face him. To this day, he remains undefeated!"
The crowd's cheers grew even louder as the announcer continued, building the tension with practiced skill. "On the other side stands our Ferrum Alliance Challenge's undefeated champion - the legendary Iron Fist Emperor! A supre trainer who has held the championship title for ten consecutive years - Glenn!"
The stadium erupted in thunderous applause and cheers that seed to shake the very foundations of the arena. "Today, we witness history in the making! Will the genius trainer Chris claim the throne from our champion, or will Glenn continue to crush any challenger who dares question his reign?"
"Now, let us welco both powerhouses to the battlefield!" The referee, an experienced host known for his ability to energize crowds, raised his arms dramatically.
The entire battle arena responded exactly as he had hoped. The sound waves erupting from the audience were absolutely deafening, creating an atmosphere of pure excitent and anticipation.
Through the cacophony of cheers and shouts, Chris and Glenn erged from their respective entrance tunnels. They walked with asured steps across the battlefield, their footsteps echoing despite the crowd noise, until they stood face to face in the center of the arena.
Glenn, the Ferrum Region champion, was built like a fighter - similar to Bruno in many ways. His muscular fra and confident stance spoke of countless battles won through sheer determination and strength. He studied Chris with his arms crossed, a slight smirk playing on his lips.
"I heard you're the champion of the Hoenn Region," Glenn said, his voice carrying clearly despite the noise around them. "I never imagined I'd get to face another regional champion so soon. This is quite the unexpected pleasure."
Glenn's eyes glead with anticipation as he continued, "I have to admit, I can't wait to see exactly how strong other regional champions really are!"
Chris raised an eyebrow, wondering who could have leaked such information. Even the news of his Hoenn Region championship had sohow spread all the way to the Ferrum Region. But after a mont's consideration, he decided it didn't matter anymore.
"Think of this as a little warm-up before I face the China champion," Chris replied with a casual shrug, his tone suggesting this battle was rely a stepping stone in his larger journey.
For Chris and his Pokemon, fighting had beco more like relaxation than intensive training. Training required ntal focus and strategy, but battles like these against regional champions had beco almost routine.
The referee confird both trainers were in position and ready. "The battle between these two champions is about to begin! Allow to announce the official rules of this duel."
His voice carried authority as he explained the paraters. "In this championship match, each trainer may use only one main Pokemon, along with two support Pokemon. The support Pokemon may only be deployed twice during the entire battle."
"The battle concludes when one trainer's main Pokemon loses the ability to fight," the referee continued, ensuring both trainers understood completely.
"Now, please release your main battle Pokemon!" The referee raised both a red and green flag in his hands, signaling the official start.
Chris and Glenn simultaneously reached for their Poke Balls, gripping them with the practiced ease of seasoned champions. In perfect synchronization, they hurled their Poke Balls high into the sky above the battlefield.
The Poke Balls opened in mid-air with bright flashes of silver light, and two Pokemon materialized on the field below.
The Pokemon standing before Glenn was a Machamp - but not just any ordinary Machamp. This was a specin with extraordinarily developed muscles that went far beyond normal proportions. If a typical Machamp resembled an average athletic person, then Glenn's Machamp looked like the ultimate bodybuilding champion among humans.
However, these exaggerated muscles didn't give off an aesthetic appeal. Instead, they radiated pure intimidation and raw power. These weren't decorative muscles built for show like so human bodybuilders might possess, but rather functional steel forged through countless hours of intense combat training.
Chris took one look at the imposing Fighting-type and imdiately understood the nature of his opponent. This wasn't going to be a problem though, because the Pokemon he had chosen for this battle was perfectly suited for the matchup.
"Hehe hehe~" A small purple figure covered its mouth and snickered with mischievous delight.
The Pokemon Chris had selected was his Gengar - specifically, the Gengar that had been trained extensively under Zoroark's guidance using advanced techniques to fully restore its ultimate battle form.
Ghost-type Pokemon are naturally immune to Fighting-type moves, which ant that as a pure Fighting-type Pokemon, Machamp's combat effectiveness had just been reduced by approximately half.
"Gengar versus Machamp - it appears Chris ca to this battle fully prepared!" the referee observed with professional appreciation, noting the strategic type advantage. The red and green flags in his hands dropped simultaneously.
"Let the battle begin!"
"Foresight!" Glenn commanded imdiately.
"Dark Spirit Battlefield!" Chris shouted at the exact sa mont.
Machamp instantly brought all four of its massive arms together in front of its chest, raising its concentration to absolute maximum levels. Its eyes widened dramatically, and an invisible wave of overwhelming pressure surged outward like an unstoppable mountain avalanche.
For a brief mont, everyone in the stadium who looked directly at Machamp felt as though their deepest secrets had been completely exposed and analyzed.
Foresight is a move designed to detect and analyze opponents. When a Ghost-type Pokemon is affected by Foresight, the user's Normal-type and Fighting-type moves beco capable of hitting Ghost-type Pokemon despite their usual immunity.
The Ferrum Region's championship rules were notably unique - only one main Pokemon could be used per trainer. In situations like this, when type matchups created immunity relationships (such as Ghost versus Fighting, or Electric versus Ground), having no counter-strategy would almost certainly result in defeat.
As the long-reigning champion of the Ferrum Region, Glenn's signature Pokemon had always been his Machamp, never changing throughout his ten-year reign. He had encountered nurous challengers who attempted to defeat him using Ghost-type Pokemon, but he remained champion because he had developed strategies to handle any type matchup.
Unlike trainers from other regions, Ferrum Region trainers were renowned for the comprehensive versatility of their Pokemon.
anwhile, Gengar was executing its own battlefield transformation.
Using its rotund body as the epicenter, dark purple energy began spreading outward in all directions like a rising tide. In just a single breath, the entire battlefield had been transford into a ghostly underworld realm.
Chris had always been less impressed by techniques like the Ghost-type Z-move "Never-Ending Nightmare" that pulled opponents into spirit dinsions, because Gengar's self-created "king's domain" was far more effective. This technique created a spirit world territory that provided superior enemy suppression and self-enhancent compared to dinsional displacent.
"ga Evolution!" Chris announced, displaying his Z-power bracelet with confidence.
He had initially planned to defeat Machamp with minimal effort, but the Foresight move changed his strategy completely. It was better to end this quickly and decisively.
Gengar's body imdiately beca enveloped in brilliant, multicolored light as the evolution process began.
"Brick Break!" Glenn commanded with a sharp hand gesture, completely ignoring his opponent's transformation sequence.
Machamp stomped the ground with trendous force, actually cracking the spirit world terrain beneath its feet. Its massive body launched forward like a living cannonball, ready to demolish everything in its path.
However, after traveling less than two ters, a thick layer of white mist suddenly appeared around the Fighting-type. This was the effect of Gengar's exclusive ability "Cursed Body" creating a supernatural barrier.
Machamp paused only montarily to assess its surroundings and confirm its target's direction before accelerating forward again with renewed determination.
But that brief hesitation was all the ti Gengar needed. The Ghost-type had successfully completed its ga Evolution transformation, becoming ga Gengar with enhanced power and capabilities.
"Now," Chris snapped his fingers with perfect timing and issued his command. "Gengar, use Phantom Force!"
In that instant, the ghostly mist churned and swirled like storm clouds over an ocean. From the spirit world ground, a massive pitch-black phantom began rising slowly until it towered above the supernatural fog.
The apparition possessed a tall, imposing form with a pair of wing-like projections that resembled a blood-red sunset. Its sharp, elegantly defined dark purple face bore a pair of crimson eyes filled with bone-chilling coldness as it gazed down upon the battlefield below.
The sight was reminiscent of a demon lord surveying the mortal realm, examining the insignificant creatures it was about to destroy with casual indifference.
